is that a mazdaspeed miata? or just add a bolt-on turbo to it, i wish i could still have mine, so how did you get involved in scca?

Yes, it's a Mazdaspeed Miata.
As for SCCA, I just logged onto their website and joined. I did it in order to get into auto-x events run by them in the SF Region because they required the membership.

Membership is annual, but the price depends on your region. And no, I haven't done any club racing, but will in the future.

Actually, I didn't DNF my first run. Look at the results on the SCCA site. It was the WRX behind me that DNFed.
