I used to fish rivers all the time when I lived in Essex.

I just started fishing again after 27 yrs, but now I live in Suffolk and there's bugger all in the way of decent rivers within 10 miles of where I live.. certainly nothing that's free !!

i live very close to a big river but every now and then i go lake fishing (carp fishing) and if i were to chose between the two i'd choose the river...don't get me wrong i like fishing on the lake but i love the river maybe because i grew up fishing on it or because it's wild...anyway fishing is the best and i can barely sleep the night before i go fishing :)
