Why the fuck would someone even want to be a cop lol, all you do is be interrogative towards people yet the fucking gangstas and drug dealers still go around. Where are cops in the high crime areas in Toronto ? It's easy to be all big with their badges and guns in front of harmless protesters. But where the fuck are they in those areas like Jane & Finch...
Oh and also, I suggest that you try leaving the comfort of your uppermiddle class homes and witness firsthand some of the unfortunate societies of the global south. There are millions living in virtually lawless societies who are constantly burdened with the fear of being rapped, robbed, and obducted. I suggest you speak to these brave individuals and try to cinvince them that our police are corrupt. They would enlighten you as to how fortunate you are to live in this wonderful country. Cheers
An ignorant fuckhead eh? Hahaha glad to see that this is getting all of you useless activists fired up. As much as this thread brightens up my day, I'm going to have to cease commenting. I wish you all the best of luck with your "cause" and know that one day you will possess a bit more sense and realize that you don't live in a tyrannical society but rather, one of the greatest countries in the world.
I am incredibly confused at the responses here. It seems as though people aren't really knowledgeable about the purpose of the March, who it was run by, why it was organized etc., The march against police brutality was organized by OCAP. It occured on an INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED DAY. The march is not just about G20 it's about the police brutality that occurs against marginalized people every day. I highly suggest that those arguing against the march do some research.
That being said, there is a large difference in protesting in a peaceful manner and allowing/encouraging the scum of the country to temporarily migrate to Toronto and vandalize the innocent businesse in the name of anarchy and global inequality. Figure it out. ....oh and one more thing, it's the middle of the week...try contributing to society for once and GET A JOB!
@Username646464 Wasn't this in the evening? Ya know, when most people have just gotten off work? Or maybe for some they don't work till later that night or it might even be their day off.
@Username646464 I think YOU'RE the deluded one. If you knew anything about that protest you would know that that OCAP organized the march against police brutality not because of the G20 but because of the police brutality that occurs against marginalized peoples on an every day basis. Also, you might want to look into the origins of this day as it's an internationally observed day to protest against police brutality. If anyone is ignorant here, it's YOU.
The events that went on during the G20 summit have been delt with, officers have been diciplined, preventative measures have been establish to avoid another simmilar occurance, and NEWS FLASH - no one cares that a few thugs were assulted and a couple hundred protesters were "wrongfully" detained. Frankly, they deserved what they got. If you wish to take a stance on a political event and feel the need to rally with likeminded individuals, by all means, feel free.
@Username646464 You are so deluded. The officers were /barely/ disciplined, only one has been charged so far, despite the massive amounts of police brutality that day. Its'a absolutely pathetic that you think these people deserved what they got, obviously you have no idea of the corruption that happens in society. Plus, the G20 is not the only time that police brutality has taken place, it happens all the time to marginalized people.
Ironic how these filthy hippies are being escorted by the police for their own protection...and rightfully so because if I were a motorist and saw these usless activists disrupting public areas, I'm not sure if I would bother to slow down. Here's a thought, save everyone a little peace and quiet and stop voicing an opinion on a tractionless issue....
Well you should be thankful because it's the cops who keep me from shooting fucking idiots such as yourselves...just sayin'
