@xxdjokxxx i don't hate Holland (my great grandpa was dutch). I don't think you have ever seen a game of football otherwise you wont be talking like this.
@Xforeverlove21 not exactly. Sure, soccer is the most dominant but not the only one. Volleyball is quite popular especially if you go to a parc or swimming pool. Then handball is quite popular and some other sports but I am not sure if they fit here. I mean jogging, cycling, swimming and overall fitness.
I'm german and I hate soccer. I would love to play american football because when i want to play football everybody says: ''oh no mayby someone could be hurt. Let's play soccer!!!'' -.-
I could freak out when i hear that. And what I really hate about soccer is that the players just fall down and starts to cry even if nothing happened.
@miamihurricane555 The German league is in a country with 80M ppl the NFL is in a country with 300M ppl. If anything you could probably compare the European Champions League with the NFL.
The Green Bay Packers are the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team in the United States, the people of Brown county own it and it is the last small town football team in the US and its the third oldest team :)
Hockey is really big in the US too here in the northern states. (I'm from Michigan. Minnesota and Wisconsin are really into hockey too, probably on a close to equal level with american football.)
One of the reasons people stop playing soccer and switch to basketball, football, etc. is because if you are on those teams, and your team is good, university scouts are sometimes sent to your games and recruit you for full and half scholarships for university and a place of said. If your university has a good team you play for, you can easily get recruited to the professional teams afterwards and those people, who play professional basketball and football, they make MILLIONS of dollars.
I will say this to the football/rugby/soccer argument:
People say that since america uses protective clothing than American football isn't as tough, but the only reason they wear protective clothing is because there was a president that told them they had to. Before the protective clothing, people would die all the time playing american football, but then they were told that if they didn't use protective gear it would be outlawed.
Was labert ihr zwei rum?
AMERICAN FOOTBALL FOR LIFE!!! soccer sucks!!!
Swimming... swimming doesn't get much attenion in the world except in the Olympics but swimming is a big deal for alot of people including me... Do alot of Germans swim for competion, like high schools in the Indiana or summer competitons Southern Illinois, or is it just a recreational pass time? Do they have honors (aka High Point Swimmer and the age group) at the swim meets?
@Dutbrothers O you,In American football you break bones, dislocations, concusions ex...If we did wear protection we would litarly die.Tight pants, looks better to most americans, and you dont have to worry about your pants flopping around, sry if my spelling is off. 1 month, yay

@Xforeverlove21 sounds like you never toke part in a soccer game by yourself, there is no helmet and safety stuff... im impressed by rugby players not by "football" players
And the German guy on the left should know if he realy is a soccer fan. That professional Teams in Europa are worth than over 100 Mio Euros what is like 130 Mio dolars. The real good leaques like the english german Spanish and Italian ones have teams worth than 500 Mio dolars. The most expensive one for now is Barcelona with a Value 650 Mio dolars!! Just C.Ronaldo is more worth than 100 Mio dolars. Real Madrid payed 117 Mio dolars to Manchester United to buy him.
they fall down because thats a art of taktic. And Soccer is for sure no Wimpi Sport in Soccer you have more broken body parts in one year than in basketball, baseball or even Amerkan football. Amerikan football looks hard but inf act they have so much body protection that they can´t brake just one bone while in soccer you just have your shirt and shoes.
@dataman121 American football player's arms and legs are completely unprotected.... The only body parts that are protected are their heads, ribs, and shoulders.
@walterbritley yeah and this regions are the only endangered ones. I have never seen in a football game that a player atacks another with a karate kick or Boxes his arms and legs. The most parts of your Body are protect. But this don´t mean it is no hard game i never said something like that i know that it´s hard but i think the people overvalued it. english rugby for example is realy hard.
I love soccer and I also love american Football, the only problem is, if you watch american Football without having a real "home-team" its not that exiting as watching a game with you hometown team owning your rivals
i love American football, but i admit I played soccer during childhood. It's not considered a women's sport but a sport you play if you can't play American football....... wimpy guys!!@!
wimpy? I don't know about that. I know a Pro soccer player is under enormous physical and mental pressure. Some of them even died in the middle of the pitch. I don't remember if anyone ever died in NFL. The truth is there is more cheating in pro soccer than there is in football.
@uppa600 i think it is considered more a women's sport, because the USA women's team is very successful, but the USA men's team is really nothing. The USA women's game is on a world skill level. but USA men's team doesn't get that kind of respect. soccer is seen as an amatuer sport here.
I hate sports and have never been into them but I did watch European soccer a couple of times on tv because there was nothing else on. What i liked about it was that the announcers actually shut the fuck up once in awhile. Announcers make me RAGE.
im disappointed, no school/college teams in Deutschland aww, and the thing about if one wants to join a team u gotta join a club and pay or sth :(, in the US there are basketball courts and soccer/baseball fields just in the open and usually anyone can just get ppl together and play on them, maybe its a matter of the space we have? i would be annoyed if i had to pay for a membership fee to play on a court.
thats totally cool about teams moving up there if they deserve it, that's awesome!
There are a lot of courts where you can play at just for fun without being in a club. At least in my area there is a lot of room for activities like that.
oh really, thank gosh because if i was going to Germany i would want to play some sports :)
in NYC there's a lot of basketball courts right in the middle of the city ;) do you know if there are situations like this in certain German cities? Possibly Berlin right? that'd be soo cool
there are a lot of soccer fields in the city (berlin). but there are also some for basketball. often the court is made for more than just one sport (e.g. basketball and soccer).
what do you mean with sport teams in school in our country?
I'm not a sports fan. Why? Because my family moved to Canada from Germany when I was 7 and my parents thought it was a good idea to put me in hockey and other sports to help me merge with the culture. This was a nightmare with the language barrier and the fact that I'd never been on skates and also wasn't made to be an athlete lol. Love your videos though!
Jim....How about them Nebraska Huskers!!! Sorry to any of you Arizona fans out there. (33-0) Thanks for the comment on my video / german I am pretty busy at the moment but getting better at speaking every day.
I'm from Berlin and I play Basketball for 2 years now. I love it!
The only difference is, that we do not have school teams, if you like to do a sport, you've got to be member of a club and pay for it (about 200dollars for a year).
It is pretty sad, because you can only use the court for 2 training hours in the week. I heard in the US you can play any time you want. I wish i could :(.

@lostalex77 You got that backwards dude. The women's team is successful because soccer is seen as a woman's sport here.

Terlaudo 2 years ago
There are a lot of courts where you can play at just for fun without being in a club. At least in my area there is a lot of room for activities like that.
oOSocialSuicideOo 2 years ago
oh really, thank gosh because if i was going to Germany i would want to play some sports :)
in NYC there's a lot of basketball courts right in the middle of the city ;) do you know if there are situations like this in certain German cities? Possibly Berlin right? that'd be soo cool
Terlaudo 2 years ago
Most universities/colleges in Germany offer nearly all kinds of sport activities. Its just not as big and proffesional as in America.

there are a lot of soccer fields in the city (berlin). but there are also some for basketball. often the court is made for more than just one sport (e.g. basketball and soccer).

love all videos made by you =D
@allamerikanallie:
what do you mean with sport teams in school in our country?

I'm not a sports fan. Why? Because my family moved to Canada from Germany when I was 7 and my parents thought it was a good idea to put me in hockey and other sports to help me merge with the culture. This was a nightmare with the language barrier and the fact that I'd never been on skates and also wasn't made to be an athlete lol. Love your videos though!

I wish i could :(.

every picture i've ever seen of a german drinking something, the drink is always yellow, but it's not always beer. why? i'm so confused.
Mjosianne 2 years ago
Maybe it's apfelsaftschorle or Fanta (which is yellow in Germany)

@AlexandJim It's not soccer! It's football, because you kick the ball with your FOOT!!
and american football, just throw the ball to your teammate and he has to run! IT IS NOT SOCCER!
