How do you make your beats?

Especialy that broken ones, that are "smeared" around.

Never found a propper Tool, not even Commercial (I could afford *caugh*)

Dnno what u mean with broken ones. But the smeared thing is prolly overcompression. I made this one like a year ago :P So dont know that much bout it anymore.

I made this tune using reason 4.0. There are many good and free sequencers around like reaper. I recommend u to check out computer music magazine. It comes with cool stuff to get u started.
