from what I know in germany even if is 6201 they will round up to 6.3.....correct me if I am wrong I was told by a friend in germany thats how their system work......but I am not sure lol

Unfortunately the rounding up of engine displacement for the 6.3 engine was a marketing ploy to "reminisce" on the original 6.3 M100 engine on the W109 300SEL 6.3.

The Germans were originally too technical before ChryCo was acquired and the company began to be run by bean counters so they wouldn't round something up to make it sound better when they were already producing superior automobiles.

Not to mention the Euro Union has continent-wide displacement taxes so it would've been smarter anyway to round down the number to 6.2 instead of rounding up...again contributing to the notion that the current 6.3 is a marketing step.

Take a look at any old BMW or Mercedes and the series numbers are rounded to where they should be which is why you'll find weird numbers on say, the BMW 733i, or 524td, or the Mercedes 240D, 250/250SL, 560SEL (instead of 500SEL) etc

Wrong, it's a 5,4 L V8 that has 354 HP and 530 NM stock ;-) As long as they call it a E55 I'll call it a 5,5L engine. Same with the E63 (6,2L) I'll still call it a 6,3L engine as long as AMG calls it E63 :-)

I'll tell you what car you own. You own a W210 E55 AMG.

It has the M113.980 engine which is stock 349HP and 391 lb ft of torque. You obvious modded it so it's more.

Because its stock displacement is 5.4L or 5439cc with a 97mm bore and 92mm stroke.

Unless you bored and stroked your M113 more, you don't have a 5.5L M113. And even if you did have a W211 E55 AMG, that still has a 5.4L M113 V8, only fitted with a supercharger. Bore and stroke remained the same and so thus, displacement did as well.

I thought in germany anything that has more then the whole number they will round it up? I heard thats how they put in different insurance class of the car so even the 63s with 6208cc is call 6.3 because when you licence your car or buy insurance for your car it will classify as 6.3 but not 6.2

If it was greater than or equal to 6250 than yes you would round up to 6300. Otherwise you round it down to 6200.
