  • It does. Thank you. :-) How does one repent?

  • Why is it that people are so quick to believe in an all-knowing creator in the sky yet cannot believe homosexuality is not a choice? Heterosexuals do not choose their preference, and the same goes for homosexuals. No one should ever be ashamed of being born for who they are, I'm certainly not. I'd much rather live my life by my own standards rather than by what some ancient year-old book tells me that was written by men. I'm much happier that way.

  • @grapefruitguru FYI, I have post a video response answering your comments. -- Kieran

  • I wish we could all just love Everyone equally and without judging

  • @Timpianoman16 Thanks for watching my video

Yes, if only we could love one another. But are you suggesting that loving everyone equally means that we never judge anyone's actions as being either right or wrong? What do you think the consequences would be if this were the case?. Furthermore, God has judged all men to be lost on account of their own sins. Does this mean that He does not love them. I hope that you think about these questions.

  • @Timpianoman16 - Love has to be a huge part of who we are. "...and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (1.Cor. 13:2 ESV)"

A large part in all our daily lives, we make judgements everywhere we go. "The shirt is too large, that color is too bright, that movie was too long, etc." Making a 'judgement' now carries such a negative conotation though. I make a judgement by not walking through a dark alley in the middle of the night in downtown.

  • I respect your opinions on the matter and hold nothing against you,

But I am gay. And I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that my eternal life will be with God, in heaven.

I know god made me the way I am to show other gays that they don't have to be promiscuous and "stereotypical"

I KNOW God made me this way for a purpose. And I know I'll go to heaven in the end.

Being gay is only a VERY small part of who I am. This is all non negotiable.

  • @diorVon Thanks for you note and your civility. You said, "I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that my eternal life will be with God, in heaven." How do you know that you will go to heaven while being a homosexual? Did you receive a revelation from an angel or perhaps a man/woman claiming to be God's inspired spokesman? It is certainly not the apostolic writings that made this revelation to you. For they are clear that sexual immorality of EVERY SORT will keep out of the kingdom of heaven.

  • @Papasmurph4

I thought that so long as an individual accepts Jesus Christ, also known as the Prince of Peace and the Light of the World, as his lord and savior then said person will go to Heaven upon death. I was not aware that there were any other conditions.

  • @j4unumber1 Howdy. There are many who would tell you this -- that faith in Jesus without obedience will save, but this is not true (cf., James 2:14-26). On the day of Pentecost, when believers asked what they must do to be saved -- to have their sins forgiven, Peter's response to these believers was "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38) Hope this helps.

  • I hope you know holy scriptures are completely up for interpretation. I appreciate the fact that you spoke out logically and with fact, but your fact is still an interpretation in my eyes. I must say something to the world for you though

EVERYONE PLEASE STOP BEING RUDE TO PAPASMURPH4!!!! He has his views, you guys have yours, and I have mine. That is precisely what youtube is for, sharing what you want to share with others. Leave him alone

    (I support Homosexuality)

  • Thanks for your comments. Of course the scriptures have to be interpreted, but so do all words whether they be written or spoken. Too often problems arise because words are taken out of context and/or they are twisted to mean something completely different than what the author intended. This is dishonest. Do you agree? Do you think I have done this with regard to what the New Testament teaches about homosexuality.

  • I suspect that we actually would agree that the Bible condemns homosexuality even as it condemns lying, greed, pride, hatred and all sorts of sexual misconduct. I suspect that our differences are not the result of interpreting the Bible differently, but with the fact that I take the scriptures to be God's word on the matter and you don't. I wonder if I am correct. Thanks again for you comments. -- Kieran

    (God doesn't support homosexuality)

  • See my previous comment for the content of the Bible. I ask you not to ask me about my beliefs simply for the sake of time and page space haha.

  • Yes, words can be taken severely out of context, and that annoys me to no end. But, in any written work, before written, the author must either be prepared to literally explain what the work means to everyone, or just let people interpret it the way they believe it should be interpreted. A truly good writer never leaves their main message to be interpreted in any twisted way. Now, it is hard for me to get into a conversation about the bible with you due to my views (continued next...)

  • How then do you believe 1 Corinthians 9:10 is to be interpreted?

  • Sorry, meant 1 Cor 6:9-10

  • Like i said before, i can't really discuss the context of the bible, because my beliefs vary so widely. I also have a VERY different opinion of the values of the holy scriptures based on when they were written and the history of the real Jesus christ. I must have missed something though, because I read the bible word for word back and fourth twice and i can not find where it says that homosexuality is a sexual crime.

  • Hey There. You said that you cannot find where the Bible says homosexuality is a sin? Here are some verses that I would like you to closely read and then get back to me to tell me what they are saying: Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. -- Kieran

  • Romans 126-27 are severely debatable. corinthians- debatable. Leviticus- very hard to debate. I say this to you though- exodus 21verse 7-sell daughter into slavery: exodus 35 verse 2-anyone working on sabbath shall be put to death.corinthios 11 verse 14-men having long hair is a disgrace. Why do we pick and choose what to follow out of our holy scriptures? Because no matter who is God and who is not, it is a matter of choice and interretation

    Zing.

  • Howdy. I am curious, what is there to debate about in Romans 1:26-27. There is no debate that the verse is speaking of same sex sex, calling it a "degrading passion," "unnatural," and "indecent." Pray tell, what is there to debate about? I would like to ask as well, what is there to debate about regarding 1 Cor 6:9-10. Zing, just saying something is debatable doesn't make it so. Is what this passage says about fornication, adultery, stealing, drunkenness and swindling also debatable?

  • Good post and use of scripture, although I suspect by the name of the Church, the Trinity (pagan doctrine conceived in the 4th century)) is taught. I suppose that is for another day though!

  • Great video, papa. Clear, rational, compassionate...truly excellent. How could ANY fool call this hate? God bless.

  • Pshaw! Homosexuals and their friends are constantly seeking to deprive me of my rights to speak about this issue, calling it hate speech. So enough of your patronizing!

I am prepared to hear and then examine your strong arguments in defense of homosexuality, but you have none to give! Homosexuality, pedophilia or bestiality is no more basic human right, than adultery and fornication between heterosexuals. Just because men and women CAN do something, doesn't mean that it a civil right.

  • Unless you present a case from the scriptures that attempts to show that my video misrepresents the scriptures, I will not allow any more of your responses to be posted.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, it is sad at how apathetic people are about what God has had to say about this issue. However, there were two angry comments (from the same individual) that I allowed to be posted, along with my reply, but about two seeks ago I inadvertently deleted them.

  • I have allowed your comment to be posted to allow the reasonable (who have actually viewed the video) to see just how unthinking and prejudiced your side is.
