  • Troppo, TROPPO bella.

  • yann tiersen is just awesome

  • aw shit.. i came here to save the probably most awesome comment I've ever read in a music video and now its no longer there.. WHY? D:

  • Este o piesa trista, pana si titlul sugereaza asta. Totusi este superba, nu am cuvinte.

  • That weird and unusual note switch at 2:14 is sooo unexpected and yet, when heard, it all comes together.

  • I believe in heaven because I really want to know how I die. I was told right after you die piano solo plays in the background while beautiful busty women surround you, one leading you by the hand to a place of cows, barns, and milkmaids.

  • simply superb :')

  • tears just come out flowing over my face..... wonderful

    thank you Mr. Tiersen

thank you for this great present

  • death reminds us of d essential and d beautiful

  • Beautiful music, but one depressing comment page.

  • Wonderful. You can feel his emotions in this melody,in ervery melody which is played by him.

  • Death is not sth scary or dreadful...it is just the end of a mess we constantly suffer from..this life is an illusion i am happy to think this is going to end one day...otherwise why any form of happiness ends sooner or later here..doesnt that prove that there is something wrong with it from the begining ..we never die...just this tired flesh rots away..frees itself from bruises cuts and so on...

  • This is officially the most depressing comment page for all youtube videos I've ever seen so far, I visited it one year ago and was impressed. It is a little masochist to visit it but last year a guy talking about anhedonia gave me a lot of inspiration for my writing. Guys we all feel blue sometimes, but thats the good part about it, we do because we think and reason about life. However there is no explanation to fear death it is just the end, what makes the difference is the story you live.

  • I've always been indifferent towards death. Sure, it's a shame to hear that a loved one has died, but it's not forever. I too will die someday, and someday I'll see them again... Just not for a long time. (Hopefully)

  • Meanwhile I am perfectly sure I will die with a soundtrack like this one and in a movie type of way... My life is a movie, and I sure will end it like one.

  • What are we supposed to feel for death? It's a loaded experience, like birth, like falling in love, like losing a person we love, like breaking up, like the first day at school and the first day at work, or the last one for that matters. All big events are dark and scary and dressing them with a soundtrack somehow makes them less dreadful. It's who we are, humanhood needs to understand and to joke, not to fear and to abolish the scary thoughts to the darkest part of our hearts and brains.

  • @Nichrida Poetry. Pure poetry.

  • Brilliant.

  • emotions..

  • ...Yann Tiersen...

  • tiernamente, te clava un cuchillo en las entrañas.....dejarse morir..

  • the emptiness, the soulful emptiness illustrated by the picture amazes me, but when the song plays and i look at that picture, i just feel as if i'm wondering through my very own mind, or my heart. i feel like being able to touch that huge hole in my chest, as if i could embrace my pain and give myself a strange sense of comfort, by reminding myself of that painful emptiness.

  • Kind of a shame there's so many stupid comments on this video. I would have liked to think that people who appreciate this kind of music are a bit more... enlightened. Obviously not.

  • @MrEzuma Haha and you are??Who the fuck are you coming here talking shit what do you want us to talk about?!

  • @MrEzuma What kind of music do you like and bands??

  • How can something so sad and depressing can make as feel so "filled"?

  • guys listen up death is real, and death awaits us all, thats life not god, god is no one, just a poor bastard who decided to call him self jesus(crack head) saying he is god's son... WTF???

  • Can you tell me what is the name of the picture it is so pure pure art so simple but so beautiful!

  • It is all about the music.

    Tiersen is a phenomenal pianist.

  • It's a french compositor, awesome music, so beautiful :') yann is the best pianist for me

  • If this is not the proof of beauty existing, then I think the philosophers are blinded by their own belives.

  • like the most songs by Yann Tiersen.. stunning beautyful

  • the world affects us all in a way. Money, Fame, and Love....all this makes us sad and unhappy. If it doesnt make you unhappy than someday it will. Find that someone you love so you can both make it through life together. Through the good and the bad. Dont think negative....if you do you will live negative. Dont think about dying either. Live on until that day may come. So when u do die you can look back at life with your loved one.

  • the universe is just an absurd lie created out of our pathetic human need to categorize the universe into simple patterns and ideas that we can recognize and manipulate just so we can make ourselves feel like there's meaning and purpose in our sad, meager existences, sharing these dispicable lies in our society like an incestuous virus gnawing away at our brains until our consciousnesses fade away into total and absolute nothingness.

this song makes me feel happy though! ^_^

  • @NoKe973 Jesus can give meaning and purpose to our lives....I mean he is the creator and the reason he created you was for a purpose. Jesus made everyone in his image and he loves you so much....he loves you so much he died for you and me.......

    this song is so beautiful!

  • @priscamarie16 Amen

  • @priscamarie16 God made us and after his image

  • @eiroight god made shit

  • @HellSkater19 Man, if someone could come from Hell right now they would tell you "Don't come here!" so be careful what you say about God, repent.

  • @eiroight looooooooooooool theres no hell and no heaven, just life and death, religion is just a scheme to make idiots out of the believers, science is the true religion, not bed time stories like "adam and eve" or crapy comedy movies like "the passion of christ", well its not that crappy it gave me some laughs

  • @HellSkater19 good luck with the rest of your life if your gonna keep thinkin like that.

  • @eiroight yes!

  • @priscamarie16 NO Jesus dide by our hand our blood we all need to die!!!

  • @blackmanorigins jesus sucks big time

  • @blackmanorigins you mean died? and we dont NEED to die, we are going to die

  • @sa1nt84 We do need to die we are an evil race and we will witch is a good thing(and i dont give a fuck how i spell)every single human is evil children are evil,we put people that are smart in jail like Charles Manson, we think we are above and law of the universe and the law of the earth!

  • @blackmanorigins Charles Manson is smart? Ok, someone's a little fucked up...

  • @MrEzuma YOu might think that but i know you are wrong, you see you beleave that the media have told you,but there is no proof that Manson did kill or made people kill for him.I am a good friend with Manson and he is a sane person, you need to know to talk to a person if you reallt want to know him or her so STFU little child and learn some respect for humans bitch!

  • @MrEzuma Oh really and you are not??There are a lot of people that like Manson they understand him like me i dont want you to understand if you dont want to just keep of and stop talking shit becouse you need to meet the person to know the person, coming from a good friend of Charles

  • @MrEzuma YOu dont seem like a mature peson if you were you would aks normaly why do you like him,why do you have respect for him,not just go in and say aaa you suck for liking him that is what a child would say...

  • @blackmanorigins because you're the living embodiment of maturity? Yes there are a lot of people who support manson, but does that alone make him justified? People are stupid, people are racist. Hitler had supporters who 'understood' him. I can understand your general dislike of the human race and all, but here's some news for you: Charles Manson is human, one with a lot of fucked up ideas that got him and the rest of the world nowhere.

  • @oragamimushrooms Oh really and you base you disision on what nothing you dont know anything, you think that he made poeple kill for him,but the fact that he did not kill cant get thru your mind,Im not fallowing MAnson im just sayng he is one of the best people you will ever meet,he talks smart,he know stuff that people are afraid to talk about on the media and other sources,I jammed with him played guitar it was awsome he is an lovin and good person that you cannot and will not understand!

  • @oragamimushrooms I know you posted that two months ago, but I have to ask why you're even trying to engage that person with logic? To even understand his posts I had to read them twice. I know youtube isn't a place where grammar is held to a higher standard, but holy crap - that's a lot of crazy gibberish. Kudos to you for even getting as far as you did!

  • @oragamimushrooms

    I invoke Godwin.

  • @blackmanorigins alright then, why?

  • @priscamarie16 my mother created me in her womb, not jesus, for fuck sake quit insulting your own mother and father by repeatedly saying that a psychotic guy named jesus created us......

  • @NoKe973 Yes there is no god there is only nothingness,we are alone and will be forever!

  • i have nothing now. everything is meaningless. that time i believed i am going to die and i felt like "this is it. nothing matters anymore." but then i woke up into this world again. there´s just emptyness for me. waiting for another death. love this music. i would like to meet yann just to know that someone like him exists.

  • life seems empty for me too. existence itself is suffering for me. i wish i never took place in this world, never loved, never hated, never cried.i cant remember even a moment in my life where happiness touched me (and i mean happiness not pleasure). i would give even my life for a moment of just being complete and free of my desires, free of pain.now it feels like im already dead

  • know what you mean. my doctor says it´s name is anhedonia. it´s an illness. not being able to be happy. i don´t know what it is, but i wish all this was over. because i know that everything is meaningless.

  • with the vision of life being here (just for me) to die, the life itself is just an empty space, which i can fill with sorrow or happiness or anything i want. but the world itself is just a blind mirror which has nothing to say, it just is. we can live that life happy or unhappy as we wish or as we are able to...but the life itself is completely nothing. it´s just long waiting for death. i almost died once and the last thing I felt was happiness. i threw away everything i´ve been thro.

  • Well, I believe in being satisfied.. Anyway I die.. I will be satisfied.. I may be suffering in pain.. But after, I'll still remain satisfied. Because we wasn't promised to live more than 30 second.. to grow and understand the pure grain beauty of this world. But we are.. So I am forever grateful. Weather if what I have seen in my life was horrible or with such beauty. I'm so grateful to be able to live a lasting life. So in honor I shall die anyway life wants me to die. In God's name. Thank you

  • i believe that when you die (depends on how you die because i think that with a bullet through your brains you can't see a last moment anymore) you will see the person you've loved most in your live

  • Only if they are the one killing you.

  • beautiful, I admire your lovely insight, gave me warm feeling....

  • Assuming that you are not incapacitated or in extreme pain, that you aren't choking in your own blood, staring at masked doctors under bright lights or wrapped up in twisted, burning piece of metal surrounded by a mosaic of broken glass, that you aren't freezing from blood loss or so medicated that your last breath will be drawn far away from the moment, you might have some flashback, but you probably won't be hearing your favorite song and the camera will be a stationary one.

  • @krzhizhanovsky hahahaaaa!!!! This is a really right one piece!

  • Really liked this, wonderful track.

  • :` (

  • Anyone who has the sheet music for this?

  • brilliant I have no words

  • Comment removed

  • This is music with emotions. I can't stop listening. It's absolutely beautiful.

  • i love this song..aswell as his other songs, lovely!

  • Yes I do believe that "mother's journey" is perfect for the brokenhearted if this is good for a "good" death.

  • If there's a way to have a nice death, it would be hearing this ....

  • That's a strange characteristic of our generation, we imagine our deaths as a montage from a movie and like all movies we want a soundtrack. It's really sad and disconnected from reality when we you about it, because I promise you death will be nothing like this at all, no for you, not for anyone.

  • As true as that may be, only the dead could make that promise

  • It's true in some way... while reading this, I went cold for a sec... I know there is truth in this, but how can you say this for sure? Have you had a near death experience? I do think we see someone/something (not per se our husband/wife, it could be things that are deep-rooted, secrets...) before our very eyes or in our mind when eg facing a car accident, at least given we see the car coming. Although I don't think it is supposed to be a 'movie' like those hollywood films want us to believe.

  • @krzhizhanovsky WTF???????? You were certantly stoned when you wrote that xD

  • @krzhizhanovsky self absorbed much? try reinterpreting the piece from the perspective of people grieving the loss of a loved one. does it make more sense to you now?

  • @krzhizhanovsky I'd be willing to say that it's less about wanting to be like a movie and more the want to experience true, pure emotion before you die. I don't want a soundtrack... I just want to hear something beautiful. Music.

  • @ForbiddenMelody The thing is... you won't.

Your death will not be epic, nor memorable, nor beautiful.

It will be just a death.

And, if you say so, those attending to your funeral will hear this song during the ceremony.

    But you will not.

  • @Tatherwood I don't think you quite understood what I was saying. Reread, and try again.

  • @krzhizhanovsky brilliant!, you are absolutely right. i realize that i am guilty of this as well. cheers! it's LIFE that should have the soundtrack, not Death. i think it is a sort of psychological imprinting...the songs we choose for death seem to reflect more of how WE who go on living feel about the passed of those we love, and less of how the actual passing itself felt for THEM...

  • @jaaprince same to me. You just found better words than i would. Thanks.

  • @krzhizhanovsky I am guessing that you know what death really going to be like. Could you enlighten me?

  • @krzhizhanovsky that was...depressing...but true :o

  • @krzhizhanovsky Tell that to the christians.

  • @krzhizhanovsky how is wanting music to literally be a part of your life considered a disconnection from reality? Music enriches everything.

  • @krzhizhanovsky There is no background music in life dude... Everyone knws that... There wont be a Hans Zimmer composing music for you... Its just to remember the dead with peace and gratitude... Lemme knw one thing in first place, how sick would be a person to imagine his own death and listen music for that context? Ever heard of the word 'tranquil'.. When u do, listen to this!

  • @krzhizhanovsky I feel sorry who people who liked your comment. This piece is dark but light is clear in this video. Even the key is low, you can always feel joy in the dynamics.

  • @krzhizhanovsky I feel sorry who people who liked your comment. This piece is dark but light is clear in this video. Even the key is low, you can always feel joy in the dynamics.

Clearly this music made you feel this way, otherwise you wouldnt have commented in such a sad way.

  • @krzhizhanovsky Everyone needs a way to deal with death, everyone needs some comforting. Some turn to others, some turn to religion and some turn to music. Sure death won't be anything like in the movies, but that doesn't mean we can't believe that it will be..

  • @krzhizhanovsky There is something beautiful about imagining your death though.

  • @krzhizhanovsky maybe it just concerns the people that feel already dead inside... while still physically still living.... theres no matter of death on its own, but i think about the cold you may feel inside and thats dragging you down day after day.. deeper...

  • @screamingzombies57

Maybe it's just music and we only interpret meanings from it to be able to sleep at night.

  • @krzhizhanovsky i just hundredandoned you and wish you my near-death experience forever after.

  • @krzhizhanovsky Just because a soundtrack is titled 'Point Mort' doesn't mean the public at large associates death with a superficial reality. I'd like to think that something as emotion-provoking as music could intended to make you think about death and how it affects your view of the present. It could be any number of things. Every new generation has always 'sacrificed' the values of the generation before.

  • @krzhizhanovsky yes lets say we imagine this as our tragic death or suicide witch tells us what... something to think about ...

  • @krzhizhanovsky this comment really makes no sense at all.

  • this song is perfect to have a nice death

  • Yann Tiersen is the best of his kind,

and his est song yet is with no doubt comptine d'un autre été l'après midi.

  • tres tres bien!

j'ai plus qu'apprécié. Le stress est parti maintenant...;)

    compliments du Canada

  • Very good :) Keep up the good work, I listen to everyone of your videos everyday when I go to bed....relaxes me :)

  • Oh my... *shocked*

It's so beautiful. I just can't stop listening.
