Why do you stop accelerating when you're close to the finish line (laps 3&4)? That seems like a place where you'd want to speed up.

@Hortonman42 when you reach high speeds releasing the gas at the peak of your speed will make you retain higher speeds for a longer time. This is dependent on vehicle weight, heavier the vehicle slower the speed will drop when turning the engine off. Look into the technique called MT. You will see this used all the time by TT pros.

@pokegrove3 killing black bull is important to since it has infinite boost. i do love the fact that blood hawk typically sucks, and on this level he is godly like he used to be in X.

That's strange, I can take out Black Shadow in the beginning, but usually it takes 2 of the swift attacks. It only took one for you.

Very Intresting, Seems like its only Easy when you have top speed on and to Kill Blood Falcon and Black Shadow which killing Black Shadow will be kinda hard. I'll try it though. Its one of the three chapters i havent beat yet on Very Hard mode thanks.

@Goldencoins If you want an obscure tip. Play as Fat Shark or one of the top tier vehicles on Time Trials and try to set good times. You will then be better overall.

@DejaBlue95 Only if you have Action Replay. Then you can use whatever car you want and play any story mode track as time trial

I've always wondered if there could be a race on The Challenge of the Bloody Chain track, or Deathborn's race. Either way I need to somehow find the old Action Replay for gamecube (New Action Replay sucks as it doesn't allow new code input.)

@Baschemon You can play Story Mode with all the racers on any track on practice with Action Replay. The Action Replay doesnt allow new code lol wtf. I have the old AR, do you live in the US?

Looks like you would have won even without killing Black Shadow and Blood Falcon. The other AIs were so far off. I'm still happy with my razor-thin victory though,. Never went back to Ch7 VH after that.

ok I have 1 question, at max speed how do you turn so sharply at the turn getting off teh ramp and the las curve after the no rail strip? I have to L+R thos turns but u dont

I technically press L+R but I release one of the shoulder buttons instantly, which is called a quick turn.

I turn off my gas when I reach my top speed of boosting, making the top speed drop slower. This works better with heavier cars. Watch the CTT world record, he does most of the race without gas on.

This mission is really hard and he make it look easy.... i haven´t cleared it yet.

I think he used 2 lines before the max speed (i get better results that way and in the video he have good speed but Black Shadow doesn´t surpass him so early).
