I hate iPhone and Apple's products. Cheep products made in China by slave laborers working in very bad conditions. 11 people out of the 522,000 workers at Foxconn hardly sounds like an epidemic. that's like 0.002% of the company. Remember that China itself has over a quarter million suicides a year on it's own. Just doing some quick math, the national average of suicides is slightly greater than the average at Foxconn. One could argue Foxconn is reducing suicides vs the national average. It has had corporatism, which is when BIG corporations and BIG government work together behind the scenes to screw people over. Corproations will buy off politicians, then the bought politicians pass laws to force cheap labor, and those laws are kept enforced by cops. In TRUE capitalism, no government is allowed to help a business stay in business unless consumers choose to buy...

@LifeLibertyNow I hear you but no one has ever gotten as close to true Liberty as the USA. I started out as a dirt-poor disadvantaged and undereducated child only to make over 100K per year for over ten years in a row from 1995 through 2005. That will probably not happen again for me but it will never happen ONCE in countries like China. BTW with the money I made I donated heavily to many charities. Just my story.... the truth about outsourcing is you get gangster slave drivers running the manufacturing plants which are contracted by the big names... whatever your standards are in America simply don't apply in countries where people are payed literally peanuts and work 12-18 not to mention the child labour, sex abuse, physical psychological etc

nobody from the aristocrats in this capitalistic system is actually taking care of the ordinary workers. Nobody really cares as long as they are making the products, meeting their production targets, and making revenue for the company. This is the business of american companies all over the world. As long as they are making money they dont care about the people (Apple), about the nature (BP). All they care for are money. World needs a change.

Unlike in the USA.
It takes along time to instigate such major changes mentally for a nation that has been so long suppressed, but they are making efforts in the right direction.
On the other hand America land of the free is talking major quicksteps backwards into suppression.

Foxconn is a TAIWANESE company. Taiwan claims it is so much more democratic, free, and equal compared to the mainland communists. So the relationship is Apple, American company, contracts out to Foxconn, Taiwanese company, who has manufacturing plants in China.
This is a new trend where the Chinese are going to start taking care of themselves instead of propping up the USA economy. Worker strikes are also happening at Chinese Honda plants.

the issue is the lack of comunity at the factory campuses..
Also bosses can be a bit abusive i hear and the hours are a bit intense..
