@rebeccaelm You can stuff things like blankets, pillows, etc. inside the bass up against the skin to keep it from echoing alot. That way you get a nice short bass instead of a echoey drum-sound.

I have been a drummer, once, and I have friends who also were or still are drummers and that's why I can tell you that's not the correct way to hold the drum sticks....! So, before you upload any toturial, learn the basics thoroughly.

play that 4 times and then go into the next part which i start talking about at 2:53. and a flam is when you hit the drum with both sticks at ALMOST the same time. hope this helped

record the video of you playing drums while listening to the music in headphones or earbuds (so you can't hear the actual song in the video clip) and then import that video clip into a program like windows movie maker. then you can also import the song file into windows movie maker, and just line up the song with your video! adjust the volume of each until the mix sounds right. pretty simple once you get the hang of it. good luck!
