  • This is normal CSX running.. nothing strange here.

  • @Runkleforskin This is normal BNSF, UP, CSXT, CN, NS, CP, KCS, BPRR, INRD, PAL, etc running. Nothing strange here.

  • Nice Vid.CSX :)

  • That's some scary looking tracks there! Awesome video! 2 thumbs up!

  • You get this kind of track in area;s that have seen alot of track rationalization. You can tell the main here was once a siding. We have a similar strech where i live, a bit strange seeing a train weaving through it.

  • hey one qeustion do you have to go to a two year collage or a four year to be a engineer?

  • To my general knowlegde, you do not need collage. They will train you right in the yard.

Now, Would it of not been easier to replace the damaged track?

  • sweet thanks man

  • Neither. Hiring for train service employees usually does not factor in education beyond highschool.

Management is somewhat different depending on which type of job you are going for.

  • @DRfermasMs - depends on whether you mean civil engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer - or locomotive engineer (we call them train drivers where I come from).

  • Jesus ... !!!

The world is very small indeed !!!

I'm Portuguese too, linving in Lisbon (yes I know that there are some "Lisbon" in USA). I'm fan of trains and Trainz Simulator. Cheers.

  • Well done, this video.

Hei, Almeida ! Are you Portuguese?

  • Portuguese descent, my grandfather was born there, though I am a big fan of Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo

  • How mnay miles long is this line do you have any clips back in the CR days?

  • In Conrail days it ran all the way to Bethlehem, then they cut it back to Quakertown, now CSX only works the 10 miles between Lansdale and Telford, East Penn Railroad works Telford to Qtown

  • I can show you a 26 mile line in Ohio that goes to Brookville Indiana with some rail dated 1897 with a ten mph limit. Some of the track is sunk down to where only the top of the rail shows. The track is very crooked but is still used several times a week to haul shingle grit in small covered hoppers. They usually use a gp40 or mp15 to haul 4 or 5 cars. It took me about 6 hours to photo the train going up and back on the branch.

  • I know that line very well. Formerly the INOH but not sure what it is now. Rail America property? Used to ship granules in and a few boxcars a week out. Henry Weller used to manage the property.

  • Its still Indiana and Ohio Railroad. They just signed a new contract for 3 years so the line is safe for now. They are going to put in new ties soon. There is a place on this line in Cedar Grove Indiana where the edge of the rail is nine feet from the side of a home! I&O also has another branch in Mason Ohio with rail dated 1898. I just photo graghed that line last week and saw a car wreck happen while filming the train crossing Snider road. P.s. I dont get on here often.

  • @donotreadthis23 MAW? lol what a joke that railroad is

  • Hacia muchisimo tiempo que no veía una composición tan variada en un tren de mercancias.

En España es muy dificil verlos ya, solo hay trenes puro.

Towards that he did not see much time as varied membership in a train of goods.

In Spain it is very difficult to see them already, there is only pure trains.

  • It breaks my heart to see the track in this condition.

  • Judging by the consist of cars, it seems like the line still generates a good amount of revenue. Wonder why don't they put back into the line?

  • They would if there was enough revenue to justify it. You might be looking at a train that runs once a week. It's hard to tell.

WHere and how you spend your money in railroading is a constant "game" that management plays. In particular when everytime you raise your rates a bit they pull out the "I'll truck it" card.

  • The Bethlehem Branch is used every weekday, but the revenue car count has dropped considerably in the past several months. The storage car count during the same period has gone way up, with hundreds of unused covered hoppers and molten sulfur tank cars being parked between Telford and Quakertown.

  • A common story on both shortlines and Class I railroads. Thanks for the observation.

  • The entire line north of Lansdale is excepted track, 10 MPH max. Going any faster would cause it to be classified as a thrill ride....

  • neat, how fast he going? let me refrase, how slow? lol

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
