@neowilliams Interesting interpretation, I always viewed it as he was allowing a girl to breakup with him even though he wanted her so bad but let her go because he really wanted her to be happy.
I was a little disappointed by Exogenesis. Comparing this to that, it makes me wonder why Bellamy wasn't able to come up with something better. Maybe because that was something that he had been working on for several years, and he has gotten better since then.
Wow, this is gorgeous. I prefer the original of course, but this is a truly beautiful representation of the song and it's emotion. Well done. Thank you thank you thank you.
I looked up the lyrics to Hoodoo... I liked it better before :( still awesome though.
The last lines are still my favorite part though by far... "And I've had recurring nightmares, that I was loved for who I am/Missed the opportunity to be a better man."
@CaptainCarthex Ye it's in like the best lyrics of the decade or something. Read something about it, can't be fucked to search it back. But I know it got honoured in some way. It IS a great line. :>
Awesome!! It captivates all the strength of Hoodoo, and BH&R is great as all their albums, my personal favorite until The Resistance took over hahaha XD
Was an arrangement by someone who calls himself "Ian Cologne"... maybe german, a fan of Muse... I got this same song from muselive if I remember well.
Vitamin String Quartet didn't cover Hoodoo as far as I know (feel free to prove me wrong). And on a side note, thank you Ian from muselive for this :D
i know muse has nothing to do with the arrangement fucker!!! what im saying is that this shows the real quality of BH&R... the notes BELLAMY wrote are beautiful when put together.... played by MUSE or not... DUMBASS!!!
i thought the same at first... but then i started hearing at each of the songs individually... and there were songs like take a bow... city of delusion... and even hoodoo itself that i thought were bad at first.. but then i understood what they really meant and how they are composed. maybe youll get to like it if you listen carefully
I've listen to it over 100 times. and I do not say that the songs are bad, I just don't like songs as Exopolitics, City of Delusion, Invincible, Assasin. They are just uncomparable to the awesome songs of Absolution/Oos.
I think Take a Bow, KoC, and Hoodoo are excellent.
well... it took me some time too.. but now i appreciate the ones you mentioned as much as absolution or oos... btw... a muse song called "soaked" originally composed for BH&R has been leaked on youtube... give it a try
@daurpm it is but that by no means makes it bad. take a bow, hoodoo, motp and knights are the songs off the album that are in Muse's best. each album might have throw away songs but then as well have songs that rank up with their all time greats. for the resistance itd be exogenesis, unnatural selection and resistance
@IMadLarkin that's what I used to do - but then I listened to screenager on the hullabaloo soundtrack where he plays it on the piano - now It's grown on me!
it's so perfect to sing..

Yes, that's my favourite line of any song. Took me years to understand the truth in it.
My close second is the the closing line of 'The End', The Beatles' penultimate song on their final album (Abbey Road - chronologically speaking)
"And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make"
There's a connection between the two, but it's not immediately obvious

Altough Hoodoo is 1 of my favourite Musesongs, most of the other songs on B&H are average or uninteresting imo.

This is EPIC. I've always been floored by Hoodoo (so lost and forgotten among the bigger, flashier hits) but this is incredible.
And I definitely see this as the track for the climax of some epic movie.
