  • it's so perfect to sing..

  • MUSE in a new level .....

  • Doesn't sound like hoodoo enough.

  • This is...sorta kinda completely awesome.

  • its amazing how three guys can do all of this by themselves.

  • Sounds like some kind of "The Legend of Zelda" Theme.

  • Great :D

  • if there was a soundtrack to my lifes movie if i had one, i would definatly want this in there somewhere :)

  • nearly forget to breath

  • Perfect

  • this has got to be one of the best muse covers out there.

I've always loved hoodoo, but have never known what the lyrics mean...

  • @jasperisabeast In short, The song is about Avoiding the Main stream, To resist peer pressure.

  • @neowilliams Interesting interpretation, I always viewed it as he was allowing a girl to breakup with him even though he wanted her so bad but let her go because he really wanted her to be happy.

  • Fortunately I'm not the only one getting goosebumps everytime I hear some orchestrated cover of nearly anything coming from Muse

  • Oh My God. It's so fucking wonderful. **

  • Score for this? Please?

  • Beautiful <3

  • beautiful

  • Fucking goosebumps man, big fucking goosebumps.

    That was epic!!

  • I want Muse and this orchestra in my house playing this song every day. 0.0

  • an epic of epic epicness @_@

  • This is fucking awesome!!!! =D

  • i got goosebumps while listening to this.

  • sounds like Heroes of might and magic songs

  • I believe this was arranged by Ian Cologne (see him on my space).

His arrangements of Take A Bow and Hoodoo are also amazing!

  • took me a few seconds to realise this isn't a real orchestra

  • Got the lyrics" Follow your instincts and choose the other path" tattooed on my arm :)

  • this gave me massive goosbumps

  • I cant accept the fact that this pwns the whole exogenesis.

  • I played this at the same time as the original, pretty cool if you sync it right.

  • @sphooky I just tried it! And your right its amazing 0.0

  • I was a little disappointed by Exogenesis. Comparing this to that, it makes me wonder why Bellamy wasn't able to come up with something better. Maybe because that was something that he had been working on for several years, and he has gotten better since then.

  • @zimbloggy oh. I really like Exogenesis and I think it's a piece of art :D

  • Wow, this is gorgeous. I prefer the original of course, but this is a truly beautiful representation of the song and it's emotion. Well done. Thank you thank you thank you.

  • AAAmaaaaziingg!!!! :O

  • i. love. this.

    thankyou

  • amazing sound, amazing band, amazing song, Simply amazing.

  • muse needs an ochestral album of all their biggest songs

  • Stockholm syndrome would be amazing with a little symphonic touch

  • Holy goddamn, awesome

  • fucking awesome!!!

  • muse deserves to have a orchestral in other songs too.

  • Awesome!

  • Ian Cologne ( guy form Germany made this)

  • Just Amazing !

  • it´s so nice, i´ve got tears

  • I looked up the lyrics to Hoodoo... I liked it better before :( still awesome though.

The last lines are still my favorite part though by far... "And I've had recurring nightmares, that I was loved for who I am/Missed the opportunity to be a better man."

  • @CaptainCarthex why dont you like the lyrics ??? theyre awesome

come into my life, regress into a drea, we will hide, build a new reality,

such better lyrics than most songs by other bands

  • @CaptainCarthex Same for me! I love the last lines of Hoodoo!

  • @CaptainCarthex Ye it's in like the best lyrics of the decade or something. Read something about it, can't be fucked to search it back. But I know it got honoured in some way. It IS a great line. :>

  • @CaptainCarthex yeah the lyrics go perfectly with the movie inception by chris nolan...pretty wierd lol

  • @CaptainCarthex

Yes, that's my favourite line of any song. Took me years to understand the truth in it.

My close second is the the closing line of 'The End', The Beatles' penultimate song on their final album (Abbey Road - chronologically speaking)

"And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make"

There's a connection between the two, but it's not immediately obvious

  • Amsterdam?

  • Awesome!! It captivates all the strength of Hoodoo, and BH&R is great as all their albums, my personal favorite until The Resistance took over hahaha XD

    Muse Rules!! *o*

  • WoW! Better than the original!

... Yes, i AM Muse- Fan....

  • daurpm ? I think it´s their best work ^^ But resistance is quite well too =)

  • Was an arrangement by someone who calls himself "Ian Cologne"... maybe german, a fan of Muse... I got this same song from muselive if I remember well.

A great song and great arrangement

    Muse for Life

    Greetings from Colombia

  • Vitamin String Quartet didn't cover Hoodoo as far as I know (feel free to prove me wrong). And on a side note, thank you Ian from muselive for this :D

  • look for the string quartet tribut to muse

    imo its better then this

even tho this is pretty cool

  • splendide, merveilleux, fabuleux, qd les orchestres symphoniques jouent muse cé aussi boooo !!!! on se croirait dans un film, grandiose ta vidéo

  • and you guys really dare to say black holes is muses worst work??? give me a break...

  • Cuz this is made by muse, right?

Idiot, muse has nothing to do with this arrangement.

  • i know muse has nothing to do with the arrangement fucker!!! what im saying is that this shows the real quality of BH&R... the notes BELLAMY wrote are beautiful when put together.... played by MUSE or not... DUMBASS!!!

  • it's not bad but just not as good as the other albums.

Altough Hoodoo is 1 of my favourite Musesongs, most of the other songs on B&H are average or uninteresting imo.

  • i thought the same at first... but then i started hearing at each of the songs individually... and there were songs like take a bow... city of delusion... and even hoodoo itself that i thought were bad at first.. but then i understood what they really meant and how they are composed. maybe youll get to like it if you listen carefully

  • I've listen to it over 100 times. and I do not say that the songs are bad, I just don't like songs as Exopolitics, City of Delusion, Invincible, Assasin. They are just uncomparable to the awesome songs of Absolution/Oos.

I think Take a Bow, KoC, and Hoodoo are excellent.

  • well... it took me some time too.. but now i appreciate the ones you mentioned as much as absolution or oos... btw... a muse song called "soaked" originally composed for BH&R has been leaked on youtube... give it a try

  • @daurpm it is but that by no means makes it bad. take a bow, hoodoo, motp and knights are the songs off the album that are in Muse's best. each album might have throw away songs but then as well have songs that rank up with their all time greats. for the resistance itd be exogenesis, unnatural selection and resistance

  • mk ultra is awesome live too!

  • HAARP has no throw away songs.

Origin of Symmetry... the only one I wouldn't listen to every time I listen to the album is Screenager.

  • @IMadLarkin that's what I used to do - but then I listened to screenager on the hullabaloo soundtrack where he plays it on the piano - now It's grown on me!

  • EPIC win

  • a truly beautiful piece of music. a largely overlooked song, but easily one of muse's better ones. that saying a lot considering their portfolio

  • This is EPIC. I've always been floored by Hoodoo (so lost and forgotten among the bigger, flashier hits) but this is incredible.

And I definitely see this as the track for the climax of some epic movie.

  • This is one of the most SPLENDID, GORGEOUS versions I've EVER heard... WOW... Astonishing :)

    ¡¡Increíble!! :D

Really thank you for up loading it :) :D

  • Im sure they would use this in movies. Incredible

  • IAN COLOGNE MADE THIS!!! you stole it!

  • Comment removed

  • sick!

  • fuckin' amazing when the "Come to Be" is starting. Sounds like a movie original soudntrack.

  • Greatttttt!,,,,,where can I get the Track???

  • nice, it's alot more dramatic than the studio album version

  • pal! is a great performance!,... think where did you get this version track¿?!is perfect !

  • took me 20 seconds to realize the pic is not moving lol!

  • lol xD

  • HAHA!! ME TOO!! We had a slow moment.

  • happens to all of us lol

  • hahaha if it wasn't for you, i didn't realize it either XD

  • @darklord8603 Me too:p

  • @darklord8603

    ROFL!!!!

  • @darklord8603 it took me 1 minute and 56.

  • oh yeah! Hoodoo's such a beautiful song...
