@ss6truks: I think you're mixing up your Flashes. Barry Allen (the second Flash) was the Police Forensic Scientist. Later on, Wally West (the third Flash) worked as a mechanic for the Keystone City Police Department. He was never a scientist. In the Justice League cartoon, his personality was changed to provide comedy in the series.

Flash has super-speed, but he's not super-intelligent. So even if he can "think up 100 different scenarios", there is NO guarantee that they are correct.
Batman on the other hand is VERY intelligent. He's also focused in way that the quick-thinking Flash isn't.
@veeganboy Even if Flash doesn't have the intelligence he has to the speed to supplement it and make up for it. Such as Flash would only take an hour to read every book in a library to gather knowledge on the crime he is trying to solve, Batman only has technology and detective reasoning to supplement this. Or say Flash needs to work on a crime in another country, it would take him nothing to learn a new language and apply it.
@ss6truks: Yes, in theory you are correct, but Wally would need to have total recall to use the amount of information you are suggesting. He does not have that ability. So reading a thousand books would be of no use to him, without the ability to retain and recall that information at a later time. (Kid Flash/Impulse has that power but not the other Flashes). It makes total sense that Wally has extensive knowledge of speed and how to apply it in combat. He may be smart, but he's not a genius.
@veeganboy And also Batman can only predict a situation or try to use clues to figure it our where as Flash can actually check every nook and cranny of a city until he finds it, which would take minutes for someone that runs beyond the speed of thought and light. Lets not forget if Flash were not intelligent he would not know how to use his speed properly, such as when he uses the Infinite Mass Punch, Flash would never know about this unless he studied advanced physics and motion.

Val Armorr (Karate Kid) is one the most incredible Legionnaires to ever wear the ring. Even as a member of the Substitutes, he's been the best there is. Heck, he even invented his own martial art that allows him to go toe-to-toe with Superman! He named it "Super Karate," a fighting style that's made his hands and feet strong enough to warp steel and wound the Man of Steel!

Karate Kid wasn't born with his powers, he trained for years upon end to get to where he is. Most members of the Legion were born with their powers because of the genetics of their alien race or their powers are products of "happy accidents" as Marvel puts it.
The reason that they lost those powers is because they were disrupted on the genetic level. In short, their mutations were reversed and they became normal for a time. Make any sense?

If my strength was the result of a genetic quirk or something alien in my DNA, then I suppose that it would. As for Flash, yes, he would lose his powers because they come from the Speed Force, an energy source that fuels all speedsters.
I'm not saying that they would lose their skills like intellect or normal physical prowess or anything like that, I'm just saying that Grimbor's gear adapts to their genetics and disrupts that part that makes them super. Thats all.

You make a good point. In fact, in my mind at least, normal doesn't really exist because everyone is different. This is why I have a problem with the people in Marvel who hate mutants. All mankind is "mutated" in some way.

human strength is what is considered basic strength. for example on krypton the kryptonians would display(although there strengths are different) equal strength to a human on earth
basically we are considered level 1 strength the weakest* while kryptonians would pretty much be maxed when under the yellow sun. *while we may be considered the lowest level in strength we make up for it with impossible amounts of willpower.
Which makes us one of the most dangerous beings out their with a GLring.
"Happy accidents?" The thing hasn't been so happy in newer versions of the fantastic four, Bruce banner became an unstoppable monster which only lives to destroy. Anyway you look at the man-thing origin it isn't happy. I think a happy accident actually has to be HAPPY to be called a happy accident. DC's characters are happy accidents, Green lantern takes bling from a dying alien, and he's been happy ever since!

@ss6truks: Yes, in theory you are correct, but Wally would need to have total recall to use the amount of information you are suggesting. He does not have that ability. So reading a thousand books would be of no use to him, without the ability to retain and recall that information at a later time. (Kid Flash/Impulse has that power but not the other Flashes). It makes total sense that Wally has extensive knowledge of speed and how to apply it in combat. He may be smart, but he's not a genius.

@veeganboy And also Batman can only predict a situation or try to use clues to figure it our where as Flash can actually check every nook and cranny of a city until he finds it, which would take minutes for someone that runs beyond the speed of thought and light. Lets not forget if Flash were not intelligent he would not know how to use his speed properly, such as when he uses the Infinite Mass Punch, Flash would never know about this unless he studied advanced physics and motion.

Saw a episode where Supes lost his power (under a red sun I believe) but he couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag...sounds like they rely too much on their powers.

Heck, he even invented his own martial art that allows him to go toe-to-toe with Superman! Karate Kid wasn't born with his powers, he trained for years upon end to get to where he is. Most members of the Legion were born with their powers because of the genetics of their alien race or their powers are products of "happy accidents" as Marvel puts it.
The reason that they lost those powers is because they were disrupted on the genetic level. In short, their mutations were reversed and they became normal for a time. Make any sense?

so wait ..you are saying that if you and i are fighting this guy and you were stronger than me (might be true) you will lose your strength and i wont or if bolt(fastest man alive) is hit by that ray he will lose his speed..even if you dont mean that..if some one is smarter than me(which is a power in here) he will lose so einstein would have lost his marvellous intelligence..dont think so if you are born with some skill how can someone take that away??though it is just a cartoon

If my strength was the result of a genetic quirk or something alien in my DNA, then I suppose that it would. As for Flash, yes, he would lose his powers because they come from the Speed Force, an energy source that fuels all speedsters.
I'm not saying that they would lose their skills like intellect or normal physical prowess or anything like that, I'm just saying that Grimbor's gear adapts to their genetics and disrupts that part that makes them super. Thats all.
And yes, its a cartoon :)

You make a good point. In fact, in my mind at least, normal doesn't really exist because everyone is different. This is why I have a problem with the people in Marvel who hate mutants. All mankind is "mutated" in some way.
And yes, in a cartoon, nothing ever makes much sense at all. Also, you're welcome for the reply. I quite enjoyed this little conversation :)

human strength is what is considered basic strength. for example on krypton the kryptonians would display(although there strengths are different) equal strength to a human on earth
basically we are considered level 1 strength the weakest* while kryptonians would pretty much be maxed when under the yellow sun. *while we may be considered the lowest level in strength we make up for it with impossible amounts of willpower.
Which makes us one of the most dangerous beings out their with a GLring.

"Happy accidents?" The thing hasn't been so happy in newer versions of the fantastic four, Bruce banner became an unstoppable monster which only lives to destroy. Anyway you look at the man-thing origin it isn't happy. I think a happy accident actually has to be HAPPY to be called a happy accident. DC's characters are happy accidents, Green lantern takes bling from a dying alien, and he's been happy ever since!

Val Armorr (Karate Kid) is one of the most underrated superheroes ever, the original DC Silver Age Karate Kid was an epic hero who fought to the end and dies a hero's death.
He was also the first member of the Legion of Super-Heroes to receive his own spin-off series.
