Robin, as myself, has a few years on him. Being a rock star he has weathered well. Besides, if you have passed 40, take a close look in the mirror, bet the large part of us aint what we use to be.

The guy generally looks really good this is just a REALLY BAD angle. Shoot a 15 year old at this "Let's see those nose hairs 'K?" angle and HE won't look good.

Unless they are stretched out in some sort of wild pose, you NEVER see your average fashion model shot like this male or female.. Cut the dude some slack!

@OPTIMISPOOH Yup. You'd think that with all the video technology available the average person would know more about perspective distortion created by lenses/angles. Guess not. The width of his forehead appears smaller than the width of his jaw at this angle, giving the illusion of an enormous neck and lower jaw. My sister is a VH1 video editor and almost every celeb requests no low angle close ups for the same reason. I saw CT live about two yrs ago and he looks nothing like this vid

I had such a huge crush on Robin Zander back in the 70s when I was in High School. He still looks good to me. I've seen Cheap Trick perform lots of times. Such a great band.

Robin Zander is an amazing singer.I'm so happy these guys are still popular.Don't laugh but I know alot of young kids who got into Cheap Trick because of their Theme Song to That 70's Show,and to me that's pretty cool.

Robin is actually from Beloit, WIS...but I'm sure he hung out in nearby Rockford a lot as a kid because there isn't a lot to do in Beloit. But the rest of the band is from Rockford, IL.

I think you've misunderstood. Robin is an amazing talent. I love him. I'd drink his bath water! It's just a shock to see him looking like this is all, and it's very sad because he was always so beautiful. And beautiful isn't a word I ordinarily use to describe a man, but in Robin's case it's always been the most accurate. I realize people age, of course. But this goes beyond that. He really looks bad here. An unflattering angle, perhaps might be contributing. And distortion from the lens...?

It is a bad angle, too close up, probably also bad lighting, the other current pics may have also been retouched, and the other videos could have been soft filtered, no, I'm not hating, but it's true, they do that kind of stuff.

He doesn't look bad, it is for the most part the angle, first rule for taking videos, is to never shoot looking up someones face, the end result will NEVER be flattering lol

You've got a valid point,dude-Robin was thin back in the day with a well-angular face.However it's all a part of the aging process,genetics and life-style.

Many people simply fill out,especially in the neck and chin areas as they age. In your defense,he probably could lose some weight (me included!)but again,a lot of it is down to our genetics. Keep rockin'!

Yeah,I heard from a close friend to the band (from Rockford!) that their record company really pressured Cheap Trick to use outside songwriters as they weren't having hit-success as they did till the early-mid 80's. Cheap Trick hated going along with it but had little choice in the matter.

I saw the first of the two nights that Cheap Trick did Sgt Pepper's last year. Cheap Trick never looked or sounded better. Truly a band that gets better with age. Long may CT rock!!
