Nicolosi is quite a discovery for me! I love his tone and I love his phrasing, how he makes the passages breathe. Although Thalberg was in the same period as the great romantics, his language has parallels in Cramer and Field and occasionally Hummel. Nicolosi's playing gave it so much life it avoided sounding like a run of the mill concerto filled with bravura passages and scales and thirds and fourths, etc... Great job! Thanks for sharing. I hope there's more of Nicolosi. Cheers!

Thank you very much for posting this much maligned piano concerto. What a fun and uncomplicated piece of music! Francesco makes it sound like a commanding masterpiece. Fantastic.
