  • The rumor about Mozart hating flutes was a falsity. In fact Mozart loved the Flute... it was a student he was teaching at the time who he couldn't bare. He wrote her a Concerto in C mjr with Harp... and she played it rather poorly. The only reason he tolerated it was because he was getting paid a large amount of money in commission's. Oh and another FYI though this was funny Mozarts Music is not set the reverbs of vibrato. Though Bach emplored it.

  • Great Job everyone. The dynamics are there.... if you know Mozarts works his dynamics were no meant to get past Mezzo Forte. Though they may have been written FF. He really meant MF.

  • That big triangle flute in the back is called an " Obesthaphone" . My my uncle George Koregelos made the first Contra Bass Flute in 1971....

  • good job>>>>>>>>>but where're dynamics ?

  • Yes, that is trully amazing! Very difficult to tune many flutes so well together. Very well done and very impressive! They are real professionals!

  • wow... they're all in tune!! That many flutes in tune is like a sign from God Himself! lol

  • This is wonderfully done! I still chuckle however at the thought of a flute ensemble playing Mozart's work!

  • They are pretty good!

  • wow..i think i saw a contra bass flute..i know what a contra bass clarinet sounds like cause when we were tuning he would ask her if she could play that C., 2 octaves higher. just joking with her.. i play piccolo and i wonder what that contra bass flute sounds like.

  • Often the piece is played a bit faster, but they play flute and not violin. And it could be exhausting to play a whole piece with "tremolo" (I don't know an other word for this, but I hope you understand what I mean)

  • you mean flutter tongue?

  • Ah no, I mean the fast staccato^__^

    I don't know why I wrote Tremolo...it's more a violin thing xD

  • this is absolutely excellent. my jaw dropped. fabulously done!

  • LAUREN.

  • Stalker friend. :) love you!

  • good job!!!

  • If you are looking for the "Sinfonia" for Marriage of Figaro, you could always arrange it yourself. It's in the public domain. Otherwise, I'd be more than happy to arrange it for you, just send me a message regarding it. I do a lot of work for my Flute Choir, and alot of that is classical.

  • sugoi! just think! when i get older and with a lot of practice i can be able to play like THAT!

  • does anyone know where i can find the marriage of figaro for flute choir or flute ensemble? thanks in advance :)

  • Yeah, my flute choir just played it earlier this year. send me a message if you still need it, I'll get details on who publishes it.

  • The intonation is astonishingly good for so many flutes.

  • Wow! Plein de flûtes!!! ^.^

  • wow the speed should be so much faster

    this is way too slow

  • considering your name is kyleguyhighspeed, you seem to want everything FAST. this piece is played at the proper speed, Presto is what the piece calls for, and it is definitely in presto. I don't know where you study music, but this is certainly "up to speed" good sir.

  • i hate when people always think they have to follow strict rules about playing a piece

when i was in high school

we started out a little faster than them but we sped up just to kinda show off a little

kyleguyhigh speed is more of a military nickname when your on top of your game all the time and your always ahead they call you highspeed.

  • pretty good for a bunch of flutes but i like the low brass sound myself

i like the version for band better thats just me

    its still nice though

  • Music should NEVER EVER be played faster than it was meant to be composed, it destroys the interpretive aspect.

However, I DO agree that this piece should have been faster. This isn't presto, this is vivace ma non troppo.

  • wonderful xxxx

  • Oh god, I see a bass flute! ^_^

I haven't seen one of those since I played one like... 3 years ago XD

  • not being funny here, but where are the dynamics? shit conductor, players were quite good apart from some 2nd flutes, who couldnt find their way around the upper register.

  • Woop! I am gonna join the county flute choir (y) Grade 5 =] It rawwks

    x

  • Wow!! So many flutes!! That makes me so happy! Good job - thank you!

  • nice, my highschool is playing this song for our concert..it's hard though...lol

  • NICE JOB!!! This reminds me of playing with the National Flute Association Flute Orchestra at the annual conferences. I really wish that there was a flute choir in my area that I could join. However, the consensus is that that flutists here like playing in a flute choir. :(

  • I wanna join=)

  • i know how hard it is to get so many flutes in tune but you have done a good job here.still a few more bass would help but good overall sound. keep up the good work!!

  • no piccolo?

  • thats what i said:)

  • They have piccolos, just not for this piece.

You can see in other videos.

  • wow!

I wish my town had a flute choir like that I would join in a heartbeat.

  • BRAVO!

  • Beautiful! I wish my flute choir was that big!!!!

    ~GO ALTO FLUTES!!!!!!!~

  • this makes me want to play flute :D

  • at 3:40 is HARD! i play sax and i know!

great job! sounds cool w/ all flutes(thank god there in tune!)

whats that big triangle shaped thing in the back?

  • Big triangle shape is a contra bass Flute

  • @skiergirl73 now try doing that part on a bassoon :P where the keys are 5 times further apart than a flute xD

  • Eine Kleine Nachtmusik :-)

    Love it !

  • I agree with Apalexpe. Otherwise, very good!

  • Wow!! It's a new perspective, I love this. But this piece of Mozart is the masterpiece, so even just one recorder playing is still awesome.

  • chido

  • si alguien sabe de un grupo como este aviseme no?

  • OMG, South Koreans are amazing. Lol. They are breathtaking.

  • Very well played and filmed. Nice balance with the bass instruments and percussion.

  • beutiful but without the strings this not yet the marriage of figaro overture...

  • Magnificent. This piece lends itself extremely well to flutes.

  • outstanding bravissimo !
