a way to get alot of money on sims 3 is that you press control shift c then type testingcheatsenabled true. then you press ctrl shift c then type in family funds space your households name then whow much money you want

@LakenProductions this is how you get alot of money quickly in sims 3 ... while playing the game hold down the Ctrl key, the key with the arrow pointing up key (right above the Ctrl key) and the letter C key . After you do that a blue bar should come across the top of your screen type in motherlode and press enter . doing that will give you 50,000 simolians . and you can do that as many times as you want to . hope it helps !
