Takes me back to 1977 sitting in the basement of my best friend Chris's house listening to his brother Dana's old records. We would smoke weed that he got from his older brother Tony and have a blast. Boy, I really miss those days and all the freedoms that we had as teenagers growing up in the 70s. The world changed so much and the crap they call music now days sucks. I sure do miss the great Acid Rock records of your brothers Chris and all the good times I shared at your house with Tammy Dodge!
Can't believe the local "classic" rock station here in the Detroit area doesn't have this in their rotation. Back in the day, when I was living in Northern Michigan, we had to "rig" our antennas just to bring it in. Now....NO RESPECT!!
Produced by Eddie Kramer! Really good album; if it had been on a real record label instead of Private Stock it might have had a chance. As far as I know all of Private Stock's master tapes are missing.
Why doesn't this get any play on the "air quotes" 'Classic Rock' stations??? I demand to know!! Stop recycling the insipid and start 'spinning' some of the greater classics!!! :)
@kayakrazy1 because it has drug connotations that are against the federal govt's illegal war on the us citizens and requires intelligence to under stand which we know there is no one in govt with a shred of intelligence or they would shoot them selves for working for this illegal corporation called the federal government
@cgronlie Too cool! An old HS buddy just put this up on his Facebook and both of us used to listen to this... ON KSHE~95!!! I used to put my speakers on either side of my head and at 4:59... I'd BLAST IT!!!
I found it on a cd titled : Smoking in the boys room , The best of Brownsville Station. released 1993. there'a a picture of it in the right hand margin, posted by United States Rocker66

For so many years, people here thought I was crazy when I mentioned this song. Thanks for posting this! Now I feel vindicated for all those times people told me I was an idiot.
Been a long time since I heard this one on a late night rock show on WSMI, a small town farm-oriented radio station in Illinois. Never heard it any place else. Thanks for posting it.
This'un didn't hit the nationwide Top 40.......but our little radio station KFTM-AM in Fort Morgan, CO, played it every single night in the summer of '77!!
Lovin' the Brooks Ketchup bottle. I just drove by that the other day. This song takes me back. Ahhh.....I'm at Tornado Foosball. I step out every once in a while. Those were the days.
Heard this on the radio tonight. Immediately fell in love.

ICP and Eminem make me ashamed to be a Michigander. Brownsville Station takes away that shame

Great stuff! I still own the 1977 vinyl self titled LP this song originally appeared on. Sad it's never seen re-issue...
I posted a video response with one of my videos; "My Friend Jack", which also appeared on the same LP...hope you don't mind :)
