So who pays for damages if the BASE jumper screws up and lands on a car, goes in due a mal, has a spinning opening and hits the hotel...? He's just another guy who thinks he has the right to risk the lives and livelihoods of the people beneath him.
The same can be applied to anyone skydiving over a highly populated area. In fact, in January of this year a 10 year old girl was killed when an army skydiver accidentally landed on her during a skydiving show in Thailand.
I now have a very good reason to visit NY! Palace Hotel huh? You think they'll get suspicious if I ask for a room on the top floor? ;) Either way I'm doing this!!
