princesspurrfect11, you are hilarious. I thought i was the only one who kept playing this over and over again. This reminds me of a time in my life that was SO fun. Something very special about this song and artist although I was somewhat ashamed to admit that I liked it. I LOVE Nikki! I just found out he is married to Martika who also had one of my favorite songs from this time period.

Michael was my first boyfriend ... well, if you count 1st grade as dating! :-D My family moved away after that yr & in the late 70's, he & I ended up in the same high school & became pretty good friends (Senorita's Spanish class - WOO!!!). He was a sweet, funny, creative guy. He left h.s. to start touring & I've always wondered what happened to him. It's great to see and hear that he's living his dream.

Great song....was underrated then and still is now......good vocal to a very original song.....the chorus is simple, but his voice makes it unique because of the passion that exudes from him......almost like a softer Prince....how did this song do on the charts? I still play the album once in awhile. I have a whole new respect for his music. Sometimes if you listen to something you haven't heard in awhile, it has a whole new perspective. According to wikipedia, they're now both back in the U.S. trying to rebuild their careers because the whole Oppera stint didn't work as they planned.

I remember Him, love this ! i remember when they were going to interview Nikki via satellite live on a live radio show, and a soft girly-boy voice answered and said Nikki wasn't available, even though the show had the call set up, and that the voice speaking was his manager. I always wondered if he was in fact just shy, or perhaps transgendered. Not being harsh, just what I thought as a young pre-teen, but he is wonderful and a terrific singer.

Man, this is a trip. Only saw this video a few times on Night Tracks, and even on MTV, I believe. Recorded it on VHS, too. I remember being totally repulsed by Nikki's wierd effeminate look (stubble and makeup) but looking at this video now, and comparing it with today's off-the-meter insanity, this is nothing! ..the hell was I trippin about... lol!!
