  • 03:32 I think you clicked the button twice. Good thing the topographical extrusion test can't be deleted! ;)

  • I find Rime to be the creepy. Creatures underwater... eerie. :P

Haha when you get exasperated at the environment and phantom voices is the best

  • does the code that atrus scribbles at the end of the rhime book change every time you play?

  • I think a plumber can do really well at this game :)

  • This is the first whole LP I've watched through. I really loved your voice and thought process for the whole video series :P. I grew up playing Myst on our Mac, and I didn't even know there existed a game called RealMYST until yesterday. Thanks dude!

  • "Rhime", rhymes with "Rime". That's how that started.

  • i got myst in psp and it have that same bonus age but i didnt need to do same way. and its not realMYST

  • I tried giving Atrus a blue page and he got really pissed.Oh, and Atrus dropped the book just to be a dick.

  • Why did Cyan create this 'new age' even though it was never created in the original?

  • @MasterRickyCherub As a bonus incentive so that suckers like me who already had the original would buy the remake anyway.

  • @shadyparadox Is it possible to enter the codes for Haven and Spire into the crystal viewer on Rime? I don't have realMYST, so I can't try it myself.

  • Could you have gotten the white page and the green book without going through all the other ages?

  • @WorldChallenge Yeah, that's one way to do a speed run.

  • Probably either of 2 things happened:

1.The red/blue pages magically disappeared when the books were destroyed.

    2. Atrus destroyed the last pages while on Myst island.

  • Who is that at the end of the video?

This age is also available in the EU Nintendo DS version but I don't remember solving all those puzzles to get there. I just went there from the Dunny Age.

  • It's spelled D'ni

  • True, it was the same as the psp version of the game. When you linked back to Myst, you got the Rime book in your screen?

  • I would love to see them redone Riven like Realmyst.

  • Me too! I tried playing Riven a while back and it hurt my eyes. Unfortunately Cyan Worlds is having a tough time right now financially.

  • @bradhig Your wish may soon be true. Look up the Starry Expanse project involving the 3D remake of Riven.

  • @bradhig another company had a project to do that, but they scraped it to make a Riven FPS, whith Gehn's army vs Moiety

  • @goatmanvideo82197 Acually that was an april fools joke I fell for. I may be gullible. Thay are making real riven

  • BILLY!!!

  • I don't know weather I want to keep watching or not. I don't want to have Rime spoilled for me, but on the other hand I doubt that I will ever actually be able to play realMYST

  • Rime is pronounced the same as rhyme, and is defined as frost.

  • That was ood.

  • this is so awesome!! it's my first trip to Rime ^_^

    thanks so much!!

  • after i saw this video i went back to the first videos where you went to the imager. did you deliberately (sp?) avoid looking at that backside to save it till now?

  • Well, either approach works fine. You can go with "oh there's a button back there," or you can go with "oh so that's what that button is for". The only thing that matters is to be consistent.

Normally I keep the behind-the-scenes thinking to myself. But you asked.

  • Hey shadyparadox,

I wasn't trying to bother you i just asked,

    so thanks for the response!

  • So, if you memorized 2735 and did the steps at the beginning of the game, could you still get to Rime?

  • Yes. They could have easily avoided this by randomly generating the code after the rest of the game was finished. But as it stands, 2735 is always the correct code.

  • do u think you'll do riven after exile?

  • yeah, and the fireplace code's always the same as well..i kinda wish they'd randomized it too

  • The problem is that the brothers explicitly mention #158 in the QuickTime clips. So even if they randomly generated the pattern, it would be easy to know what to look up.

  • oh yeah..whoops! lol

  • @shadyparadox Well, they could've randomized the book. You know, just put a different code on page 158.

  • @GuardDaos64 Wait. After thinking that through for a few minutes, I realized that doesn't make a difference. :P

  • Hi (again......)

but do you know when 32 is coming?

  • Whenever I finish it, son. Although I always record the video for an entire Age in one sitting for smooth playback, I review each episode for quality assurance.

In other words, I could post more quickly if that was a priority, but I don't think the output would be as good.

  • Sorry i missed nr. 31 cus i didn't looked very good lol :)

  • Rime doesn't have any weird pronounciations, your first attempt was correct. Atrus says the name of the age in Myst IV, so we know how it's properly pronounced.

  • Yayyy part 31!!! Thnks for posting these videos Shady youve done an awesome job and I have thoroughly enjoyed tehm. Im going to be sad when you finish so hurry up and start an Exile LP please :D

  • 'bout time you uploaded Part 31, Shady!

I am going to be sad when you finally finish. Planning to do another LP anytime soon?

  • He's doin exile next

  • Really? Well colour me excited! >_>

  • The new age better have a jacuzzi.

  • ... DAMN IT BILLY SHUT THE DOOR!

really enjoyed this LP. I really like how you explain the thought processes the gamer is supposed to take.

  • Woah! I never saw the whales. Cool.

  • The bit about Sirrus enjoying Rime is interesting, considering the prison age he ended up in and what he does there in Myst IV. Perhaps Atrus wrote Spire deliberately with Sirrus in mind?

  • great episode. i love this LP.

    the end was funny.

  • cool beans
