So suddenly after this show everyone loves Mary and forgets the fact what she did to people because she was inside a really nice person, right? Or should we blame her cruelty to her father?
@bluesevern First off Mary was not that bad of a ruler. There were English King's who were a lot worse, she is just blamed so much because she is a girl. And yes we should blame her cruelty on Henry VIII.
Umm...What the heck. It's like.

@DestinyHime I´m not really a fan of people who blame their mistakes on their parents, you make your own decisions for yourself. Not a bad ruler? Are you kidding? Tell it those many Protestants who died because of their different faith,.
@Pitalla some catholics were killed, especially at the beginning but if you have ever read anything about his reform you would have probably known that they turned to protestantism peacefully. comparing this to Hitler obviously shows your complete stupidity.

" you send me away before... tho I loved you... but I was still your wife in gods eyes.... and STILL AM...." what a true QUEEN!!!! why there is no film or book about K. of Aragon... sooo much more interesting and Royal that any other of Henry.. even more Royal than Henry himself!!!
@Jakegothicsnake It can be eerie. Some religions believe in eternal marriage between a man and a woman, tho. A very sweet belief, especially for those truly in love with their spouse.
@Ritercrazy Yes, it is a very romantic idea for those who are married and have true love to still be married to each other even after they die. But here, it sort of feels like it's Katherine's way of say: "Even in death I still win!" Or something to that kind of feel. lol
Denial thy name is Henry Tudor: Henry: " I have the power to heal you (ie. I have anointed HOLY powers from God)" - this from a man who murdered friends, philosophers, priests, wives, and on and on.. all in the name of his political goals and sexual drive. The sheer insanity leaves you speechless.

"but you won't die, I forbid it. Heal." Sorry Henry but sooner or later we all have to died and take the tool of losing someone every close to our hearts.
If I was Katherine of Aragons ghost I would ahev said a lot more to that man! I would have told him what he had to look forward to when he faced the real king on his great judgment seat! They have underplayed the wives ghosts confronting him. He know all along Anne Boleyn was innocent and so her speech was irrelevant and wrong
@nitanewsreader Maybe not. I'm not talking about the historical Henry, but I think as he is characterized here, he was a young and emotionally immature enough man at the time of Anne's death to be easily manipulated into believing she was guilty, especially with the emotional turmoil he went through following Thomas More's death and the loss of his son. And by the time he sees her ghost, he's been believing it for so long that it takes someone actually saying it to make him realize the truth.
When everybody tells you that your are not able to make mistakes and when many people do their best to make you believe your wife is a traitor for their own benefit, it seems possible that he thought she really betrayed him.
Sick people often dream and talk of dead relatives in the days or weeks before their own death. It is like two worlds float into one. As they can see into what we call 'the beyond'.
You would think after how he treated poor Kaherine, you would at least think the writers would make him see his faults and him looking like he truly was upset that he put her through hell, but "NO" the did not, they gave that treatment to his mistress Anne, I find the whole ghost of wives a little disapointing, Jane was amazing he loved her, but I am upset what they did to Kathrine's part, this was a dispointment, and again they did not give her the right respect.
Wow, the duchess had a facelift? This one doesn't look like Rebekah Wainwright who played the duchess in previous episodes. There is an important message in the scenes with the blessing of Henry and the death of Brandon. It says: you can play God, but your powers do not exceed the power that deals with life and death.

Henry also forgets or not aware of Charles helpingin Anne's downfall. Charles backstab alot of people on this series and benefited from it, though I was happy by the fourth series he showed remorse in the role he played in their deaths.
@fight4acause I sometime woundered, when Charles showed remorse, was it because he knew his time was nearing, only a few years left, during the time he backstabbed alot of people, he was young, wanted power, but whats power, status, when you on death door, but yeah, I was happy he showed remorse.
I HATE HOW HENRY MADE MARY'S LIFE TERRIBLE AND SHE SUFFERED MORE (sorry capps) he refused all offers of marriage for Mary and when she did finally get married it was like a year after she took the English crown to someone who didn't love her and someone who was like 10 years younger than her. HenryVIII U R A JACKASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think that they should have spaced it out more and did more seasons. it went so fast in season one they were barely 20 and boys and in season four they're old men and dying.
@dalHungryPinnaple his wives names are catherine of aragon, anne boleyn, jane seymour, anne of cleve, katherine howard & katherine parr.. He divorced catherine of aragon, executed anne boleyn and katherine howard, jane symour died after giving birth, his marriage with anne of cleve was anulled (he made her his sister instead) and katherine parr survived because he died before he could kill her too, although later she died after giving birth, not henry's child though..
he was my favorite character :\ what was his wifes name and can anyone tell me what happened to them? they were so happy in season 2, i havent seen season 3 and in #4 they hated each other pretty much
I really loved this scene even though the portrayal of Charles Brandon on the show is not entirely accurate, especially when it came to his marriage to Mary, Henry's sister whom is called Margaret in the series (they combined his sisters Mary/Margaret into one character for the show), since they actually had four children before she died. It was after her death he married his next wife and had 2 sons. But with shows liberties are always taken and the Tudors was still very good of course.
woooow! it's awesome to see catherine finally reproach henry after all what he did to her. I'm not surprised to see that he treats her unkindly and sent her away, again...
@Otelo1234 She was Charles Brandon's mistress that he met when England went to war against the French. She became his companion when his wife left him.
HIs memory went bad. Charles played a part in Cromwell's downfall. According to history, if I'm not mistaken, I think he had some incriminating papers planted in Cromwell's home and played on Henry's weak mind by exaggerating Cromwell's mistakes and/or lying.
Charles Brandon, a complex character, he was not kind to Margaret, or Catherine later one, and he orchestrated Cromwell's downfall or he supported it, but in season 4 I noticed he was protrayed as a neutral character who was able to gain both the Protestants and the Catholics respect, and the King's.
Brigitte - the love of Charles' life! Why were they to cruel to her? She was there in his last hours. The duchess was not. So why has she come back. I remémber she did not love him any longer.
And why is Holbein painting Henry? I've red that after his "mistake" with the portrait of Anne of Cleves he was not allowed to paint a member of the royal family once again. So...
@whenpatito Brandons official Mistress. He met her during the war in France where she was fighting with her father for the french. Brandon took her to England. She is the woman at 1:12.
@chocolatefountain95 He did, you are correct; not everything about The Tudors is historically accurate. This particular portrait that Holbein paints of Henry was actually painted some time after 1540 but before Holbein's death. The portrait that is familiar to contemporary audiences is actually a copy, modeled after the Holbein original.
@deltapunk21 Well she died at one point. to death to we part. Besides they got divorces, exct all the time. Henry just pushed to hard all the time. demanding this and that because he said so. If Henry had been anyone other than the King, he would have gone on divorcing and marrying until he died. Or got the many sons he was after. Look at Henry's birth sign Cancer. Horrible sing to give power to.
Oooh Thanks! This is so beautiful, and true... poor Katherine, who truly remaind his true wife. And god, poor Charles, I really liked him, his death is so sad.
@Likaella His death is sad but i feel sad for his mistress he was like the only one that was able to protect her and then she flees back to France I think. Poor child. and they met while fighting interesting that they later fell in love.

I just watched season 1; it's so sad to see the "Golden Prince of England" and his best friend reduced to this.
