We are homschooled and absolutely LOVE Tim Hawkins!!! A family in our church, well the wife was homeschooled & she is now a doctor. We are Creationist too & proud of it!
I actually believe in forms of evolution... such as micro-evolution (which is the actually scientifically sound.) This is the acceptable theory about species making changes that that help them adapt to their environments...such as pigment changes. The theory of macro-evolution which teaches the changing of one species to one of a different species. This theory which is sadly taught has no significant foundations that can provide good standing for the theory. It is speculation and flawed.
I have to say that as a public school kid who's about to get engaged to a home school girl, most of my thoughts on home schoolers were flat-out wrong. Her siblings are socially adept, they have tons of confidence, and they were loved completely growing up. In public school, I was tormented and have issues that spring from moving from school to school. True, they can't relate to other children their age - but when they're all adults, it doesn't matter at all.
Im 16 and still home schooled but it is actually really usefull at the moment becuase I was able to get a job becuase I could work during the day, Now that im 16 i can also take JR College classis right know so buy the time im out of high school i will have 2 years of college done and If i decide to go to college after that I won't even need to do biology! SO how do I sociallize first of all mostly socially awkward people ask that, through JR. collage, boxing, paintballing, football, church.
guys what is your proof for your theory which i will mention does not meet the three thing necasary to become a theory what is it carbon dating radioiceatope what i mean for both of those there our mager problems a its uniformaterism to say that the carbon always dates the same way i mean look at the experiment dont by dr.steaven asten and secondly your theory goes against the second law of thermo dinamics and if there is a law and a theory which one wins i am only twelve but icanseesomany flaws
imm a homeschooler, and im not even effendid hes totally for it, hes just a comedian who makes fun of everything...and besides some homeschoolers are social butterflies or total loners like me...its people not "homeschoolers"....o and child abuse? plz dont hurt yourslelf walking home
Awesome video! Did you know that Illinois is trying to pass a bill SB136 to regulate homeschooling? here is the link: youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RZqBrLZh6RE I
@BaseOiboi i have to ask you what is the basis of that remark...child abuse, really? And I assume you mean micro-evolution (which Biblical creationists agree with) vs. macro-evolutionists which is yet to be even near conclusive. I welcome your questions and your concerns, please feel free.
@brojerometaylor Simple. By not giving their children all the information, they are dooming them to a horrible instance with an overweight parapalegic with a bad diabetes kick tazing them with a stun gun when they get ridiculed by the other kids in the neighborhood for not knowing some basic information.
The comment was a satirical jab at the evolution getting crossed out in the video. Don't take it too seriously, please.
@brojerometaylor Outside of the people clinging to the Eden origin story, no one has any problem with evolution. You keep repeating the same phrases over and over. No one thinking for themselves. Just confirmation bias.
Who says it's not even near conclusive? The people in your church? The only reason you don't have a problem with micro evolution is that it doesn't conflict with the timeframe outlined by your bible. Let's just keep our kids in blinders and teach them what we want them to think.
My kids had to go back to school this year ( 4 a month though..). OMG how stupid was I?? Anyway I rescued them just in time . They're back "in the wild" LOL.
Love it! Homeschooling rocks! The video is laughing at us laugh at ourselves. People see us as weird, so be it. But my 9 year old may be a lawayer too, LOL!!! Homeschooling is a blessing and I am so thankful that we are able to do it.
a) You realize that maybe the reason people were concerned about socialization is because you wouldn't know what public school was all about... when you are seventeen, writing your third novel, and have to call up a friend and ask what they went through in high school... for research.
b) You watch this and think, 'Gosh, it's so true!'
My "socialization" in the "gubmint skoolz" was negatively impacted by having to go through government schools.
It was in the public schools that I was forced to endure the abuse, savagery and disruption of the inner city kids (thanks a lot to the advocates of bussing) which rsulted in me having a negative impression of Blacks.
Homeschooled kids aren't subjected to that valuable lesson and have no negative impressions of "our wonderful multi-cultural society".
im homeschooled whats wrong with me? the thing is i share my homeschool with 5 other kids, and im not socially wierd and we drive a van like that but tan, this is kinda affensive, you might have respect for us but to many people judge and haveing repect and doing something against your respect is kinda rude, but it was a tad funny . . -
@Scymus That depends on how you're being homeschooled. I've been homeschooled all my life, and have practically no social skills what-soever. I have other homeschool friends though, who are always hanging out with friends and what-not, who I could easily mistake for a normal student. In my case, I only really leave the house for math class and youth-group. Of course their are the occasional exceptions (ex: robotics, history competitions and such.)
This is our 10th yr of home schooling. Ups and downs as with anything, but wouldn't change it for the world!
Yes, they are prepared for the "real world", God help them out there...and Yes, the have social skills, the right ones....and Yes, they are academically on track!

The teaching process of Creationism is the only significant answer to the question where does the beginning start.

BTW my boss homeschooled his kids and taught them evolution. Because it's reality.
He didn't homeschool his kids because he wanted to indoctrinate them.

This is the worst.
Why are Christians so afraid of Evolution? Just keep that head in the sand.

Anyone who willingly teaches their children Creationism instead of Evolution is guilty of child abuse.
