  • AK-47 was not manufactured in Czech Republic. Not even under some kind of licence. We have our own design, visually similar but internally different. SA-58

  • By the way - there is NO such thing as a AK-47. It's just AK - Automat Kałasznikowa, developed in 1946 and introduced to military service in 1948.

  • @KGfromPL lols, there is such a thing call the ak 47. Ak is more like the brand.

  • @KGfromPL you are a proper tool it a prototype was developed in 45 and a final model was approved in 47 but was never seen until 56 in the Hungarian riots and spetsnaz were given them for S&D missions. and then was rocketed to production when the Chinese and Vietnamese bought millions of them and was used in Vietnam

  • why guerillas and terrorists carry ak-47s??!?!!? I will tell you the answer.... BECAUSE THEY ARE FUCKING CHEAP PIECE OF SHIT!!! an ak is around 300 bucks... an M4 is around 1000

  • @xxXfanosXxx cheap and reliable

  • @kyzeezul seriously... aks are the cheapest assault rifles out there... even if someone wants to buy another gun with the same reliability as an ak ( eg. type56), has to pay at least a bit more... so thats why he ends up with the ak WHICH IS CHEAP

  • @blackoil911 "muzzle shake?" really dude....lol sounds like you haven't fired either of them let alone learn real big boy terms for how these guns function. Lol wtf none of what you said made any sense.

  • I'll take a G3

  • He is a humble man. He thinks the M16/Ar-15 is beautiful.

  • @jml2321

m16 is better becuz of the accurary with less muzzle shake force of the whole gun///

but m16 loses in everything from the force of the bullet to the durability of it.... its a win win situation in different scenarios for both guns .... but i would chooose a m16 but in reality use the ak47 for cost reasosn

  • ak74 is better than ak47 right?

  • @Tvaxquivax Thats like asking- A taco is better than a burrito? The way they work is the same. The caliber is different. I personally, due to caliber and availability of rounds and magazines US and worldwide like the AK-47.

  • russians may have invented it but over the years paushtoon are becoming real masters of it. amazing amazing creation

  • ak47=best small arm of all time

  • i'm an american, but i would prefer this gun or the HK-416 anyday instead of that m-4 m-16 POS

  • actualy the us army uses both the m4 and the m16a4 the m4 is only used during urban combat or when their chasing someone from door to door but the m16 is still the primary weapon of the us army

  • @YenkoSuperChevy That's a load of bull. The VZ 58 was inspired by the by the Soviets move to the AK-47.

  • @YenkoSuperChevy

Yes, I know they are different concepts and have different modes of internal operation. But my point is that the key feature in recognition of an Assault Rifle will always be its external features. Also, the M16 has a pistol grip, hand guard and trigger and doesn't look anywhere close to the AK-47, the vz.58 does.

  • @YenkoSuperChevy

I did not say the similarities are internal. Neither did I say they are the same. I just disagree with the statement that it is completely different. Maybe calling it a clone went a bit far though, admittedly. But when you say the weapon is completely different, it shouldn't even look like anywhere close to an AK-47.

  • @YenkoSuperChevy

Well, I wouldn't call the SA vz.58 'completely' different. It bares enough similarities to be considered an AK-47 clone at the very least.

  • @YenkoSuperChevy Television is wrong a lot of times.

  • the first and last real assault rifle

  • $15?!?!?!?! I'd buy one if it was that cheap here.

  • I love my Saiga 7.62x39

  • 1:08 omg its ishmeal baeh!!!!!!!! everyone must read his book called a long way gone memoirs of a boy soldier

  • Do you Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through a commercial?

Remember the famous yellow subscribe button?

Remember when the users controlled the site and now corporations?

Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!

Thumbs up to keep at the top of the page!

  • AK74M is alot better.

  • @TaZ101SAGA thats questionable...the ak74 uses 5.56 rounds...you can't shoot someone throu a brick wall or can't shoot thou an armored vehicule with that. The ak47 will. so if shit hits the fan and i have the choice i'd pick up a ak47 instead of an ak74....

  • @HubertWolfen Wrong, AK74's are chambered for 5.45x39mm.

  • @TaZ101SAGA right, but it still is too small in my opinion.

  • @HubertWolfen If you are more in 7.62, then grab an AK103, they are better than the AKM. For a start, the AK103 is basically an AK74M in 7.62x39mm. The AK74 is a further upgrade of the AKM, which in turn was an upgrade of the AK47.

  • @TaZ101SAGA yes , i'll choose the bigger caliber. I like the "wood" versions tho, it looks good. my all time favorite is the dragunov witch isn't an assault rifle but in the russian arsenal, its my favorite.

  • the best weapon in the world

  • I just want to say: fuck Hugo chavez, fuck Fidel castro and fuck Osama bin laden.. They can all stick the AK's banana clip up their ass...

  • only russian and bulgarian or some east block countries make good AK's not the chinese and of course the pakistani are piece of shit, pakistan has nearly 400 factories in its north west provinces, they're just cheap inacurate clones, chines Norinco are good, but again not so good as russian

  • I love the design... it's as simple as it should be

  • holy shat i cant believe that i favorited this 2 yrs ago....

  • wait until the massada(acr) is fielded.

  • american weapon makers will never make something like the AK.

Not that they cant but they dont want to. they think its not profitable.

  • i own a ak and its the shit it fires better than the m4

  • @de4th1snt3nough The space between your ears was thought for a brain but i guess walmart didn't have a sale for that. (no offense walmart customers)

  • allahu AKbar

  • 0:42 Not an AK.

0:45 Not AKs. Those are FN FALs.

  • la estatua que sale en el libro es una que esta en la capital de managua, Nicaragua, de la revolucion sandinista(F$LN)

  • Great Vid 5 Stars*****

  • The comments on this page are funny. Just remember that the design of this gun hasnt changed for 50 years.

  • @EYEShaveGROWNwide Some changes. They are upgrading the AK again next year.

  • A VERY WILD ASSAULT RIFLE INDEED

  • Yeah, yeah. Americans weapons is bringing peace and freedom and flowers. Russian weapons bring EVIL COMMUNISTIC DEATH! Fucking propaganda.

  • Like the Mosin-Nagant, the Finns make a better AK! :)

  • ak rox!!

  • Venezuela have a population of about 27 million people and a military force of around 125 thousand as of today

  • In Mexico a large in-flow of weapons is coming from America but the ak47 is still a favorite for the opposing side of the law.

One more thing... I'm really really high right now.

  • Once you invest in a piston retrofit solution, like the Adam's Arms piston system, and install it on your AR - you have the superior weapon. Knowing this why would anybody go with an AK? Poverty and sheer availability are the only truthful answers.

The AK was designed & intended for poor folks in impoverished countries who need the cheapest option available. ARs are made for American soldiers & patriots who have more than just 3rd world options. Adams Arms makes all the difference.

  • @SororThothma So you have to buy the way overpriced gun and then go buy a kit to make it reliable? That sucks. So you have a 50+ year old design flaw, that the various makers REFUSE to correct? That's why I sold my AR 15. BTW, they still jam with the piston kits after several hundred rounds. My brothers does.

  • lol everything is made in china now

  • @badpanda84

Which is responsible for the low number of jobs in Amurika.

  • @Zvesda true - ( in Australis we dont have such a big problem yet cause we have iron ore to mine)

  • peace brought to zimbabwe? LOL very funny

  • "Many of them like having and AK-47 as well"

    "M16 upgrade called the M-4"

Do they do any research on this 'documentary' before they made it? US Soliders dont want to carry AK's plus their M-16 Series weapons, and the M-4 is not an 'upgrade' of the M-4, that would be the M-16A2, A3, or A4 model...christ you could have looked that up on wikipedia for fuck sake

  • @DaytonaRoadster update not upgrade and that is what it is.

  • hammer on the dustcover...ya thats about right for an AK..christ those things are a pain to get back on

  • Personally, never really cared about our country's view of the AK-47. I mean, if the AK-47 is STILL being used today, then that has to mean something as no one would use a bad gun.

Stick me in a situation where I needed a gun and had a choice of any single gun (and money is not an issue), I'd probably go with an AK myself. And I say this as an American.

  • Kills 250,000 people a year? Awesome! Let's hear it for population control!

    I love my AK!

  • If "kid soldiers" wouldn't have ak47 they would use another weapon, period. This documentary is fucking bullshit.

  • @medqua "If "kid soldiers" wouldn't have ak47 they would use another weapon, period"

But other weapons are hard to use. the advantage of an AK is that markmanship is not a issuse. just point and shoot. Terrorirst dont give a shit who or what they hit so accuratey isnt a huge problem

  • @badpanda84

    "Hard to use"

Pull the trigger, kill as many innocent civilians as you can. Don't think the terorist mind if they are using an AK or an american made AR15. They will use anything at hand.

  • @medqua by hard to use I meant markmanship is an issue with the M16 - where as AK47 is more "spray and pray"

  • how many of our troops does it kill a year

  • Narrator sounds like a douchebag.

  • The way the "AK-47" looks,it looks tough,it looks mean,it looks like you want to go combat fight.Having a unique late 1940's design with it's curved 30 rd magazine("banana clip" some people call it)and it's barrel underneath(instead of being in the middle like other rifles). The original AK round of 123 gr 7.62mmx39 is perfect for warfare use(not too powerful & not too weak).

  • @TheXtro101 Agreed. It may be cheaply made, and the look may reflect that a bit, but the gun still has that look that says "Yes, I'm powerful. And kudos to you for knowing it."

That and the RPD, but that's a different discussion.

  • Best weapon ever made!

  • omg

    oh my god

oh holy lord bless this documentary in the name of the American Constitution, as a testament to gain, and lose fortune...

    i want a kalashnikov so FREAK'N BAAAAAAAAAAADDD ! ! ! ! !

  • this makes me proud to say that my AK was made in russia and not in any other country.

  • it would be cooler if your ak was made in the soviet union. now its just russia now

  • Chinese copies are SHIT. Get the real deal, not a Type 56.

  • I have six chicom AK's and they are my favorite guns. No problems what so ever with them. They go bang every time.

  • One of the Icon's of the 20th Century.

Reliable and Rugged. And for all you gamers who think it isn't accurate in real life,it can get a 2.5 Inch grouping a 100 Yards double tapping.

  • @fixdeluxe1 yeah, they're pretty damn accurate, I would choose an ak over an m16 anyday. Kalashnikov is the smartest man in the world.

  • Great weapon, ive since changed my mind from the previous comment. Believe me people, if you hear that AK's cant shoot 100 yards that bullshit because those are useless Chinese copies, get a real Soviet made AK, or an AK-74M, which is in my opinion one of the best rifles there is.

  • Even Chinese copies can shoot past 100 yards.

  • @TaZ101SAGA YES. the ak-74m is (in my opinion) the best assault rifle on the planet.

  • China makes everything

  • @DanielPS95

    Everything that breaks.

  • bullshit

  • for distance yes knock down no.

  • @TaZ101SAGA

So it's taken the yanks about 50 years to finally produce a rifle that can beat the AK47 then?

    :-P

  • The AK-74M is in my opinion the best of all Kalashnikovs.

  • 00:46 theres like 5 G3's or FAL's to one AK lol

  • @TiBBlEr1

    I doubt that. SOURCE!

  • I'd just like to point out that the AK-47 doesn't kill a quarter of a million people a year; people holding an AK-47 kill a quarter of a million people a year. Big difference.

  • @Darkturnips Totally agree

  • @Darkturnips nope, thats where ur wrong.. neither the person holding the AK-47 or the gun itself kill people..

everyone knows the bullets that come out kill... duhh :P

  • @Darkturnips Guns don't Kill people, People kill people with guns !

  • @Great1holiday00 People kill people with cooking knives, baseball bats, rat poison, used appliances and a galaxy of other household items; people are always going to kill other people with whatever implement is at hand, so there's no point insinuating that the tool they use for the job is accountable for those deaths. Giving mother Teresa an AK-47 isn't going to turn her into a cold-blooded killing machine. In part because she's dead. : P

  • I hear the price of these things has skyrocketed to 1.5 grand in the middle east. That's almost as much as an m4 carbine.

  • $30 from China trust me I know....

  • @jtoon200

It's better than an M4 carbine though.

  • i feel sorry for kilashikov, imagine you being the one who created the rifle(that has ur name in the tittle by the way) that has killed billions of people, all over the world, and being reveared as a hero for it. he just wanted is fellow contrymen to win the war. the only reason why i say this is because people around the world(especialy realy white ones like people in america, fucking liberals...)say its the "badguy gun" it would suk to be him

  • Nah it wouldn't suck to be him.

  • Apparently he does not see it as a weapon of evil, but a weapon that has liberated people.

  • he just wanted to invent something useful. im prety sure i was watching something on the history channel about him mentioning a lawnmower.....oh well

  • Yeah, the ironic parts:1950s, Russian sold Chinese weapon, 1980s US bought russian weapon from China to kill Russian in Afghan, 1990s China used cashes from US to buy Russian weapon against US, 2000s corrupted Russian flee the country to US with US cashes they made from trading Chinese, now US again will use the cashes to buy Russian weapon for iraqi puppets.

Lovely triangle affairs of the world ^_^

  • symbol of ressistance, symbol of opression, symbol of humanity... the last man on earth will walk with an AK47

  • there`s nothing inferior about the romanian ak

  • you're a funking yank u douche!!!

  • the symbol of resistence...and they show an fn fal

  • AK looks like sturgewehr 44. but its much cheaper and easier to produse. I think he saw an STG44 before he made AK 47

  • ok enough with the cod shit... there is a difference

  • ??????

  • poetry this weapon is poetry

  • The only reason the Ak-47 is sooo reliable because of the differences in the gas systems. They have M4 gas piston conversion kits which actually turned out to be a reliable as the Ak itself but there is the problem in the complexity in cleaning it.

  • I wouldin't say these piston kits are flawless, I've heard of problems with them.

  • The long stroke gas piston is way better than the short stroke piston gas system.

  • strangely enough the loose tolerances of the gun make it reliable, harder for pieces of dirt to cause failures when the gun is built loosely

  • But you dont say the gun is very tolerant.

  • @amer1cancer2753 Not very, but quite tolerant. the design was considered crude by modern standard. If you look at the safety lever on AKs, it goes from safe to full auto and only then semi. it was meant to be use in full auto fire by the designer because the considerable tolerance increase reliability but affect accuracy.

  • @amer1cancer2753 Not true, at least not all of it. They have had 'piston driven' AR's since 1967 but the military did NOT do anymore testing on them. I don't know where you're getting at with the 'reliable as the AK itself' probably from the propaganda of sources like HK etc.... speaking of HK you ever notice how BS their stuff is? seriously why is it more expensive, illegal to own for civs, and the exact same thing as....like 10 other companys now lol

  • @de4th1snt3nough An H&K rifle, submachine gun or pistol is one of the most reliable weapons you can get for your money. Yes, it is more expensive than other rifles etc. but that is because in Germany every gun is handmade. That increases the price but also the quality drastic! Due to my service in the military I have shot The H&K G36 in different versions, the AR15 and the Avtomat Kalashnikov 47. All three are good rifles depending on what you are planning to do with it.

  • @DERSchindler guess what? no one gives a fuck, its the fucking internet so take your fucking H&K and shove it up your military ass, i ♥ the full rifle + fully automatic idea for ranges of 0 - 5 feet, but if I am gonna have to die so help me god it had better be cutting people in half with my 12 guage firing buckshot, dont reply, dont even read the rest of this post, (btw im a NAZI and im black and I kill turtlz and smoke crack like turtz&crack) right in the fuhrers face

  • @amer1cancer2753 . our M4s still jam and our army has considered adopting the ACR, XM8, and HK416.

  • @Efingerboards there is a difference between the gun being accurate and the shooter not being able to shoot the gun. Most Ak style rifles can shoot 2" groups at a hundred yards easily. The shooter probably cant shoot it that good freehand unless they have really gotten used to them for awhile. I have rarely seen a M4 shoot much better than an Ak even with experienced shooters.

  • @Efingerboards When you are under fire, you'll dont have the time to aim steadily.

  • a couple years ago, here in America, i think it was like 1997, you could pick up an AK for like $90.

  • the ak103 is more accurate especialy in single shot & you dont need bursts in long ranges, realy who would think with a impact more powerfull than 1000 fists you need to shoot twice. ▐▐▐:0

  • they said "BY 1947" the war was over

  • Comment removed

  • this seems like its all a little propogated. I understand that the russians want the exclusive rights back for their baby. However, this is the price you pay when you flood the world with your stuff. It loses your identity.

Now this talk that foreign made Ak's are inferior is really crap, an AK is an AK its so simple that novices can buid AK receivers in their own basement and build them well.

  • Well, mass-produced AKs do actually vary in quality from country to country. Romanian examples from the Soviet era had a reputation for being very poor and wore out quickly. The quality of the barrels was a particular problem. And bear in mind that alot of AKs in circulation aren't of Russian/Soviet construction. Most are of Eastern European or Chinsese manufacture.

  • 10:17 when they say they got it from China, it's actually a scene of North Korea.

  • you mean at 10:10? how do you know the difference between a glance at chinese / north korean infantry? did you pause it and read the wall? did you see a hat that said something?

  • The writing on the wall was 100% Chinese, not Korean.

  • sorry for the late reply: whatever was on the wall was written in Korean.

  • Is there any trace of neutrality in this "documentary"?

  • i head they hand make AKs in pakistan

  • Crude AK-47 copies along with everything from Hi-Powers to Lee-Enfield SMLE's are manufactured in the "Khyber Pass" region of Pakistan. I wouldn't fire a single one of the fucking things. AIM surplus sold some Paki made Enfields last year and warned that they were for "display only". Not to be fired.

  • search 'Pakistan's Gun Market' to see it in action....they stamp spelling mistakes.

  • Today not only in Rusian army but even in gun shops we had AK 107, AK 97, AK 110,.... So what I want to say you can´t say AK and have in mind AK 47 because the legend move on and will it stay with us in the future.

  • And secont thing. Is´nt AK like AK. AK 47 (AK 47 S - version with foldable stock) was first, then come AKM ammo was he same but mechanism inside was improved (it is in russian army used even today), original AK47 was in the rmy replaced by AK 74 with used nev type of ammo (lengh of the cartrige was same but bullet was 5,45 mm) and it has equivalent outcome than M16 (better than M4) with same endurance like the first AK...

  • The AK was NEVER manufactured in czechoslovakia!!!!! We had a SA 58 what is OUR OWN GUN !!!! Only few parts are similar to AK 47, ammo, witch in prototype was 5,8mm, and sights. And we suply the army of Polish and some african states (because Sa58 has better outcome than AK47) !!!

So remember it and if you dont trust me try to ask uncle google !!!

  • AK's rule!

  • The AK-47 was never made in Czechoslovakia. The VZ-58 is their only 7.62x39 rifle in service now. It may appear as an AK, but is not an AK.

  • vz58 is allowed in canada

  • You make a cheap and reliable firearm sound like a bad thing. Yeah, M16s are fairly reliable when kept clean, but even then, considering the amount of dust and dirt in modern warfare conditions, they are very prone to jamming. Not to mention the M16 fires an upscaled .22 round. Those should be used to kill rabbits, not people.

  • The only reason why people use your rifle over the M16, Kalashnikov, is because it is cheap as dirt, or because these people are too lazy to clean their M16.

  • "The Ak-47 kills a quarter million people a year.".............WRONG. The fuckers using ak-47s kill a quarter million people a year.

Put the blame where it belongs.

  • the best field strip has czech vz58. (No copy from Ak47).

  • the m4 is much much better

  • The m4 is great gun but it isnt better. But the ak 47 isnt better than the M4. The M4 is accurate and lightweight, with a high rate of fire. And is reliable with constant maintainence. But the ak 47 is super reliable with no cleaning and is powerful. Accurate enough for warfare. Wouldnt be too good if oyu were trying to outdue your buddy shooting at 400meters

  • AK-47 bitches!

  • It's called blowback.

  • i love the hungarian ak47 with folding stock..yeah maybe not full field strip

  • Sako RK95 is a more accurate and as reliable weapon=better in any case then AK.

  • its only because its cheaper to produce maintain and buy

  • Well not a full field strip, just popping off the cover, and removing the spring and bolt

  • 'field strip' thats a basic strip that you can do in the field within seconds. not a full strip that would be done in a secure area and time can be taken

  • you can't field strip and put itback in 20secs even if youre not blind folded

  • I could. So did most others in my company. This was RK-62/76 however.

-But as my second personal weapon was an AK-47, I of course spent a lot of time stripping it aswell. It takes 5 seconds to yank the inner parts and gas tube from the main body, and you are done.

Putting it back together did not take that long either.

We had to be able to fieldstrip and assemble AK-47, Dragunov SVD and PKM-mg blindfolded and back towards the weapon.

  • i love this gun

  • If the price of an AK is a barometer for crisis, the US is in deep trouble.

  • 75 to 100 million. Holy shit.

  • One in every 3 rifles on earth is a Kalashnikov.

  • 5.45 translation was wrong
