4 import haters, i have to admit theirs fast imports, i just naturally grew up around muscle and one day when im older and i get the chance of feeling of putting in the key, turning the ignition on, and hearing the sound in person than on a video, ill be proud to have my own cobra that the engine was hand built by SVT. i dont give a shit if people laugh when i say im getting a 03 Svt, just when they have a honda bucket, and i have a cobra, ill be the one laughing, great video man thanks.

No doubt the Cobra is one of the best mustangs ever, but you shouldn't bash the GT500. In stock form the 2011 with the SVT package goes 11.2 in the quarter with slicks only.

I'm a Mustang fan and owner; I love GT500's, but they are over rated. A stock 390hp Terminator is just as fast as a stock GT500. You can mod the shit out of both, but the GT500 will always be at a weight (and traction) disadvantage. The Cobra is by far the better bang for the buck. Also, the GT500 exhaust note sounds pathetic compared to the Terminator's.

@NAJEE52 I agree 100%. Out of the box they are fast as hell. And if you swap out the Eaton for a Kenne Bell (with some supporting mods), you've got 10 second street car. Try boosting other cars like that, and you'll be buying a new engine. I wish they would've made them for a couple more years. They're getting harder and harder to come by.

@websslinger My point verbatim. I was on the waiting list for a new GT500 in 076 then came to my senses and started to hunt for a Termi. Found a pristine oxford white 04 with 352 original miles on her in N.C.. What's more, the new GT and it's performance gains with simple mods has made anyone buying a new GT500 just someone who wants the top of the line on paper, but not necessariy in performance. Kind of think Ford screwed up on that one, though. The tops of the line should staty there.

Clone? and alternator in the front? for one the "alternator" is an intercooler, and two, it's not a clone. it's just an aftermarket intercooler. my dad had one with the same on in it.
