@esabevan not true at all mustangs that come stock with fog lights have the ability to run both at the same time as well as minis and about a million other cars
I have a 1997 dodge 1500 extended cab with a 6 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift so overall 9 inches of lift with 39 inch mickey thompsons on it i get around 13 mpg. it has a 318
i got a question about the speedometer, i kno that its sold but did the gas controls have to get adjusted? i have a lifted dodge just like this on 33's but the speedometer is off by about 5 mph when i drive was this truck the same way?
first of all, your not suppose to put it in 4 wheel drive on pavement. it probably dont steer good because of the 3''+ body lift and you couldnt have drove that around too much cause its not street legal(not too high) needs mudflaps and fenderflares.
Well when you say the dash is cracked, it's not due to the stress of it being up too high; actually most all dodge pickups have problems with the dash cracking. All you really need is a dash cover and you can pick one up for around $25. I'm not trying to make you look bad, just trying to clear things up.
are you sure it wasnt 139k??? the oil pressure looked pretty weak to me it was what pushin 30 to 35 psi...not a good sign when the oil pressure is weak..i have a 97 ram 1500 with the oil pressure easly 45 psi...
lol the fog lights may not work because when u install a lift they may not include long enough wires for fog lights... cause your really droppin that bumper
nice truck but u need to see my truck i got 12' suspension lift and a 2' body lift with 40'mickey thompsons and 20' joe martin rims and 2 15' kicker comp subs with a $1250 kenwood flip out radio head unit its a bad ass truck
@killapawner well that would be what happens with oversized tires lol... I have the same truck with the same problem. I will say i just had to replace the front hub assemblys
i gotta 98 settin on 39.5x13.50 r 20s with 6 inche skyjacker and 3 inche body and a 2 inche leveling kit and i dont think its a monster but i will admit it is a pretty nice ride and to the people sayin its a rip off they just mad bc they cant afford something that nice

Nice looking truck. Not a fan that someone built up a wussy-ass 1500, but guess you gotta start somewhere. My first lifted truck was a '79 Chevy K10, so I can understand due to being a kid with little money. Since then, I own nothing but 3/4 and 1 ton trucks only. Stupid to lift and build a 1/2 ton, unless you're going to use it for a daily driver and looks only, as this truck was obviously built for. This truck needs $1,000+ of new tires. The ones on it are hosed from highway driving. Bummer.
Dash is cracked because ALL of the 1998.5-2002 Dodge Gen II trucks had problems with the dashes. They're all trash, and Dodge knew it an did not (and never will) care about their customers. I'm a big Dodge truck fan, but I HATE CHRYSLER CORP for building some cheap assed shit and passing it off on millions of customers. The dashboards are only ONE of many major issues that Dodge had over the years with quality. Multifunction switch defects, 24V diesel blocks cracking, I could go on all day...
Peicing together something similar now for about 12" of lift and I've been studying this truck pretty hard to try and pull off that look. Yeah I would say that thing has at least 12" total lift. Might be closer to 13-14" ish. It takes 8-9" to even fit 38's. That's what most people do is 9"-10" of total lift and just clear 38's. But that has way more gap then 9"-10" lift.
man i gotta say ive seen a few of your vids of the huge trucks you sell and you do a great job filmin and recording everything on them, i dont normally like dealing with DEALERS but your the image of what they should be like haha
im comin to georgia in 2 months i hope you got somin with atleast 36's on it
fun fact, every single dodge truck pretty much from 94-01/02(2500-35000), the dashboards all cracked, if you find one without a crack in it it was either always in a garage or had a dash carpet, but really it is an awesome truck, it looks fantastic! and i'm about to put a fabtech lift on my 98 longbed single cab... only four inches though. how big was the lift by the way? oh and we got blocks springs...
@Jr42D lucky... do you have a dash carpet or something on it? or did you park it in the garage? because that's the exception... but when you just parkk outside all day in the florida sun like where we live, they all crack...
Actually thanks for leaving it up. It's one of the best looking dodges online. And to be honest there's nothing wrong with the truck. If a single steering stabilizer works then fine. It may have rear blocks, but it also has dual front shocks and is clean.
You can say what you would do different but 50%++ of trucks out there are built the same(blocks/springs). It's a nice lookin truck especially for mall crawlin. You can't knock that.
@khankewycz No Prob! Actually, the comments from all the haters do not bother me at all! They actually crack me up! Everyone is supposedly an expert when it comes to lifting trucks. This truck actually drove great on the highway and the person who bought it over 1 year ago is still enjoying it! Like you, I know that 50% of the lifts include the block/spring combo. Personal preference. I was able to drive this beast with one had while filming. With a shitty lift, that would not be possible!

I would LOVE to see this truck in person. Ive got this same sport model except its red and on 40s but its only on 8 inches of lift. I tried adding a 2" spacer, and my trackbar wouldnt let me, neither would my pitman arm. I dont know how the hell the owner was able to manage adding a 3" spacer. Interesting. I hope to make mine look as clean as this one some day ha wow, sick truck.
georgia! i live in ga too! we got a 2001 ram 1500 like this but its only a 2 inch lift and sittin on 34's bfgood mudders. this truck is sick as hell tho! i bet it only gets like 9 mpg tho
lol when you put the camera inside first you can see the high beam light and i was just about to comment and say thats why the fog lights arnt on... then you turned the high beams off and they were on
yea I was wondering if you were gonna realize that when your high beams are on those fogs turn off, but once you switch to your lows they come back on
Ok, .I read all the comments. And first off, the truck looks nice. Needs new tires. But that said. The fabtech kits are good. The axle rate was not changed, going to burn through u-joints, already looks like they have been replaced, front driveshaft is ajustable, plus. The stock pitman arm is still on, And big 38's doing what they want to. It's called lack of proper alignment. drop pitman arm, and dual steering stabilizers, should help. Other than that. Sharp looking truck,
@JuicyClamRacing1 or crossover steering. Im building basically this same truck right now except on 40s. crossover steering is the way to go when you get over 6" of suspension lift.
nice lookin truck but that thing is FAR from being a monster truck, 38's are not that big. and by the way whats up with the single steering stabilizer and the 10" blocks on the rear end. why dont you buy actual springs? and you keep sayin is an expensive lift, not when all you buy are blocks and coil springs.
Why don't I buy actual springs,,,um,,,,,,maybe if you had some intelligence you would realize that I sell cars. This truck was huge! I sat I to eye with a semi driver! 38's that are 20 inches wide are not that big?! WTF! Grow up!
haha thanks i stand corrected.. when i read ur comment in my box i was like "yea, i know that" ... and when i went back and looked i was like wow im a dumbass for typin that wrong :p
IT LOST THE WARRNNTY SO IT WAS PAWNED OFF TO YOU!!!!!!!!!as soon as you put on parts like the lift you atuomatically loss your new warranty. shit truck for a shit head, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
39000 kms completley fucked up times, trust me mud washes off but your bullshit doesn't. that peace of shit has done her job and will only be good for short term purposes, NICE TRY.
i love how he is even looking at the tires, which are Pretty much bald and useless and doesnt mention, just keeps talking about how capable it is, and you can tell the front is out of alignment because of how oddly worn they are, and febtech lifts are known to be shotty. . .
haha easily worth 10g's... can't beleive people offering 5999... people are dumb as shit.. 39k miles.. super clean.. the lift and tires alone are around 6 g's.. great truck man.. love it
@elpadroney Um,,sure,,seeing as 32,000 other viewers did not have an issue with this video, I guess I should appease you!! NOT!! I feel sorry for those around you. They must be on their very best behavior if leaving a video online makes me an asshole, what happens to someone that does something that really bothers you?!
@miltonautosales : I can see his point though... Just CHANGE YOUR TITLE and get rid of the "for sale", and put "SOLD". That's not too much to ask. Nobody likes looking at old ads that are no longer for sale.
hey just some advice from a fellow lifted truck driver, never use the steering wheel as a leverage point to get up in the truck, you can torque the bearings and it'll be around $500 to fix.
a 12 inch lift on 60s? i call bullshit on that one. my friend had a dodge like this and needed 14 inches of lift to clear 44s. a 12 inch could not fit 60s no matter how you trim the fenders.
Just so all of you know,,,this truck is still being enjoyed by the new owner without any issues! This truck was lifted properly and did not have any issues. I was able to drive it on the highway around 75mph with those monster tires without wandering all over the place. Amazing people like to bash things for no reason!
It's not just my way, it's the right way no matter what unless you spend the money on trac bars, in which case, you would already be spending more than proper leaf packs if you want to do the trac bars right.
nope no trac bars, and if your way is the right way then why dont lift companies do it? they would not or could not manage to sell a product that will break in less than a year, especially since the warranties on the kits last way longer than that.
oh and to see my truck go to google images and type in dilloncawthon f150, it's the gray truck that comes up in like the top two rows of pictures.
Lift companies DO do it- all reputable lift companies provide full leaf packs for the vehicles they provide kits for- but they ALSO offer kit variants which use blocks, because it's CHEAPER than full leaf packs. If there is nothing wrong with lift blocks, as you say, then why is it illegal for a licensed vehicle to have them in the front?
i don't see a fabtech lift for my f150 that includes a new leaf pack, nor do i see a procomp kit that includes one, and yep low and behold rize one of the most ruputable companies out there does not even offer a full leaf pack, all of the companies stated above come with a block and u-bolts. haha and that was a funny little comment, you think i don't know anything about off-roading. and just what vehical do you have my friend? i've already shown mine.
I currently own a '78 GMC K15 lifted 6" on 35" tires, 3" lift springs all around, 3" body lift. Body lift will soon be removed and replaced with 6-8" all spring lift with 38-39" tires.
While Pro-Comp and Fabtech don't carry lift springs with their KITS (going by your word, that and Pro-Comp's [far] less than stellar reputation among the Jeep community), I'm sure they offer them separately. Not only that, but other companies offer them as a part of a kit or separately, like Skyjacker and Rancho.
hipocrite, you laughed at me because i have a body lift yet you have one your self. and no procomp only makes add-a-leafs and fabtech only makes like 3.5in. leaf packs for jeeps so good try but no. plus axle wrap may be magnified by blocks but it still takes an awefull lot of power to wrap one till it breaks. off-road enthusiasts? ha ha ha
It's "hypocrite", and no, I'm not; if I had my choice, it wouldn't have ever been on there- it was on there when I bought the truck, and is currently a work in progress. You have a new truck, so chances are you made the mistake of putting it on there.
Obviously you have no clue what you're talking about. I do know those 2 companies used to offer full leaf packs, but that matters not- just because they don't offer it doesn't mean it's not superior.
And I'm not talking about breaking springs, I'm talking about fatiguing them- making them sag and that fatigue makes it progressively get worse, and that axle wrap wears U joints and tears up slip yokes, and yeah, off road enthusiasts. You never see ANY serious off road truck with lift blocks, or any rock K5's with blocks- only full leaf packs. It's the way it goes, tard.
The only way a block setup can be as good as a full leaf pack is if there are traction bars. Blocks give the axle way too much leverage which fatigues the springs a LOT quicker than without. It's as simple as that- if you don't want to believe me, that's your problem, but offroad ENTHUSIASTS know what's up.
Did I say the product would break in less than a year? No, I didn't. As far as this Dodge goes, yeah, about a year and the springs will be toast. toast- the blocks will be fine, though. It's not their product that's failing then... Apparently you haven't been around offroad that long... Trust me, anyone who knows their shit will agree with me.
Maybe you should read my first post, I'm not bashing, I'm simply pointing out a fault. The owner of this truck will drive it for about a year (if they drive it often) and they will start having severe axle wrap issues and sagging leaves, guaranteed. You can take that as bashing if you want- but really, the only bashing going on around here is of "dilloncawthon's" limited intelligence.
what were the measurements of this truck? suspension lift? body lift? ect?

this guy knows nothing about lifts haha...
and the tires are worn on the inside most likely because they were on the front and he had a bad alignment.

that front pinion angle is BAD!

yea I was wondering if you were gonna realize that when your high beams are on those fogs turn off, but once you switch to your lows they come back on
Knightmarepaintball 2 years ago
Ok, .I read all the comments. And first off, the truck looks nice. Needs new tires. But that said. The fabtech kits are good. The axle rate was not changed, going to burn through u-joints, already looks like they have been replaced, front driveshaft is ajustable, plus. The stock pitman arm is still on, And big 38's doing what they want to. It's called lack of proper alignment. drop pitman arm, and dual steering stabilizers, should help. Other than that. Sharp looking truck,
JuicyClamRacing1 2 years ago
Im not much on running 38's on a D44 front end. Any serious wheeling & the 44 would be toast.
But it is a slick truck.
papabugs71 2 years ago
@JuicyClamRacing1 or crossover steering. Im building basically this same truck right now except on 40s. crossover steering is the way to go when you get over 6" of suspension lift.
1999DodgeRamSport 2 years ago
nice truck and 38s are big. I had them on my bronco and when parked next to small cars it dorfed them
drewman187 2 years ago
what did the truck have in it for a motor
loc2183 2 years ago
nice lookin truck but that thing is FAR from being a monster truck, 38's are not that big. and by the way whats up with the single steering stabilizer and the 10" blocks on the rear end. why dont you buy actual springs? and you keep sayin is an expensive lift, not when all you buy are blocks and coil springs.
18gator18 2 years ago
Why don't I buy actual springs,,,um,,,,,,maybe if you had some intelligence you would realize that I sell cars. This truck was huge! I sat I to eye with a semi driver! 38's that are 20 inches wide are not that big?! WTF! Grow up!
miltonautosales 2 years ago
WoW. Single steering stabilizer. I bet it handles nice on the highway.
& the DANA 44 is a ticking time bomb with anything bigger than 35's on it.
papabugs71 2 years ago
1500's came with the junk chrysler 9.75 rear
trd1717 2 years ago
@trd1717
Errr, no, they came with a 9.25" rear diff. & a DANA 44 front diff.
papabugs71 2 years ago
haha thanks i stand corrected.. when i read ur comment in my box i was like "yea, i know that" ... and when i went back and looked i was like wow im a dumbass for typin that wrong :p
trd1717 2 years ago
No problem man !
Have a good one !
papabugs71 2 years ago
@papabugs71 a dana 44 will have no problem holding a tire anything up to about a 42 as long as its not driven hard or offroaded abusively.

how big of lift does the truck have.
ufcego123 2 years ago
i love how he is even looking at the tires, which are Pretty much bald and useless and doesnt mention, just keeps talking about how capable it is, and you can tell the front is out of alignment because of how oddly worn they are, and febtech lifts are known to be shotty. . .
SpidermanRun 2 years ago
actually those tires aren't mud tires and that's pretty much half life or better tread

@miltonautosales i enjoyed it, i like looking at trucks, not just buying them :)

@miltonautosales : I can see his point though... Just CHANGE YOUR TITLE and get rid of the "for sale", and put "SOLD". That's not too much to ask. Nobody likes looking at old ads that are no longer for sale.

hey just some advice from a fellow lifted truck driver, never use the steering wheel as a leverage point to get up in the truck, you can torque the bearings and it'll be around $500 to fix.
theman1393 2 years ago
its a dude in pensacola with a all black ram with black 60 inch diesel wheels and like a 12 inch lift and EVERYTHING on it is black
mrchoppaboy 2 years ago
a 12 inch lift on 60s? i call bullshit on that one. my friend had a dodge like this and needed 14 inches of lift to clear 44s. a 12 inch could not fit 60s no matter how you trim the fenders.
1999DodgeRamSport 2 years ago
idk wat size the lift was but the wheels were like dump truck wheels and the whole truck was blacked out so idk

gcsjulian 2 years ago
Just so all of you know,,,this truck is still being enjoyed by the new owner without any issues! This truck was lifted properly and did not have any issues. I was able to drive it on the highway around 75mph with those monster tires without wandering all over the place. Amazing people like to bash things for no reason!
miltonautosales 2 years ago
yeah i know some people just always have to think that their way is the right way. it is a sweet truck though.
dilloncawthon 2 years ago
It's not just my way, it's the right way no matter what unless you spend the money on trac bars, in which case, you would already be spending more than proper leaf packs if you want to do the trac bars right.
Tboninator 2 years ago
nope no trac bars, and if your way is the right way then why dont lift companies do it? they would not or could not manage to sell a product that will break in less than a year, especially since the warranties on the kits last way longer than that.
oh and to see my truck go to google images and type in dilloncawthon f150, it's the gray truck that comes up in like the top two rows of pictures.
dilloncawthon 2 years ago
Lift companies DO do it- all reputable lift companies provide full leaf packs for the vehicles they provide kits for- but they ALSO offer kit variants which use blocks, because it's CHEAPER than full leaf packs. If there is nothing wrong with lift blocks, as you say, then why is it illegal for a licensed vehicle to have them in the front?
Tboninator 2 years ago
i don't see a fabtech lift for my f150 that includes a new leaf pack, nor do i see a procomp kit that includes one, and yep low and behold rize one of the most ruputable companies out there does not even offer a full leaf pack, all of the companies stated above come with a block and u-bolts. haha and that was a funny little comment, you think i don't know anything about off-roading. and just what vehical do you have my friend? i've already shown mine.
dilloncawthon 2 years ago
I currently own a '78 GMC K15 lifted 6" on 35" tires, 3" lift springs all around, 3" body lift. Body lift will soon be removed and replaced with 6-8" all spring lift with 38-39" tires.
While Pro-Comp and Fabtech don't carry lift springs with their KITS (going by your word, that and Pro-Comp's [far] less than stellar reputation among the Jeep community), I'm sure they offer them separately. Not only that, but other companies offer them as a part of a kit or separately, like Skyjacker and Rancho.
Tboninator 2 years ago
hipocrite, you laughed at me because i have a body lift yet you have one your self. and no procomp only makes add-a-leafs and fabtech only makes like 3.5in. leaf packs for jeeps so good try but no. plus axle wrap may be magnified by blocks but it still takes an awefull lot of power to wrap one till it breaks. off-road enthusiasts? ha ha ha
dilloncawthon 2 years ago
It's "hypocrite", and no, I'm not; if I had my choice, it wouldn't have ever been on there- it was on there when I bought the truck, and is currently a work in progress. You have a new truck, so chances are you made the mistake of putting it on there.
Obviously you have no clue what you're talking about. I do know those 2 companies used to offer full leaf packs, but that matters not- just because they don't offer it doesn't mean it's not superior.
Tboninator 2 years ago
And I'm not talking about breaking springs, I'm talking about fatiguing them- making them sag and that fatigue makes it progressively get worse, and that axle wrap wears U joints and tears up slip yokes, and yeah, off road enthusiasts. You never see ANY serious off road truck with lift blocks, or any rock K5's with blocks- only full leaf packs. It's the way it goes, tard.
Tboninator 2 years ago
whatever im done arguing with someone that obviously has no knowledge of off-roading. this conversation is over.
dilloncawthon 2 years ago
The only way a block setup can be as good as a full leaf pack is if there are traction bars. Blocks give the axle way too much leverage which fatigues the springs a LOT quicker than without. It's as simple as that- if you don't want to believe me, that's your problem, but offroad ENTHUSIASTS know what's up.
Tboninator 2 years ago
Comment removed
mrpomerleau 2 years ago
Did I say the product would break in less than a year? No, I didn't. As far as this Dodge goes, yeah, about a year and the springs will be toast. toast- the blocks will be fine, though. It's not their product that's failing then... Apparently you haven't been around offroad that long... Trust me, anyone who knows their shit will agree with me.
Tboninator 2 years ago
Maybe you should read my first post, I'm not bashing, I'm simply pointing out a fault. The owner of this truck will drive it for about a year (if they drive it often) and they will start having severe axle wrap issues and sagging leaves, guaranteed. You can take that as bashing if you want- but really, the only bashing going on around here is of "dilloncawthon's" limited intelligence.
Tboninator 2 years ago
yea the chrysler 9.25. whats the advantage to the dana 44 in the front?

i think the rams come stock with a dana 44 front axle so yea that will hold
