I don't know too much about pearl to be honest. Any brand can be good. Don't listen to the manufacturers. Some of the best kits I've ever been on were really cheap ones. All depends on the sound you're looking for.

Do you have a practice routine or do you just jam to songs? What did you do when you were starting out?

Oh God no, I never really sit down and do practice exercises or anything. I've never taken a lesson in my life. It's all about fun. I just play along to songs and that's what I done growing up. When I started out I bought some drum sticks and played on cushions. I done that for a while and eventually when, a couple of years later, I got on some real drums, I could already play.

Haha thanks a lot. No, never had a problem with the hi hats. I like stomping on them when it needs it. If you wanna see stomping though, Search for Pumpkins playing Disarm at the MTV awards and look at 1:09. Jimmy's hi hat stand is nearly falling over. Thanks again.

Thanks Dave. I don't use any mics to record. The mic on the camera is awesome. It picks everything up great and only distorts if you have RIGHT next to the drums or cymbals. Picture wise, I guess it's just a good camera in general. Not too expensive either. It's a Panasonic NV-GS300 if anyone's interested. Thanks again Dave. Once again folks, go and checks Dave's drumming videos out. His 3 way drum battle is awesome. You'll be an instant fan.
