anybody know where I could get the music from this game and other origin games? do they sell it at all anywhere? I tried ocremix but they only have a few
Most of the Original Origins team now works at NCsoft when EA moved the studio out of Texas and to California.
The only problem with remaking the games would be that Garriott would have to give his blessing to EA since they only own the rights to the Title and Engines. Garriott owns the characters and licensing of the world. So sadly there will probably never be another Ultima game or Ultima Online due to both parties having to play nice together.
The "people who were working in Origin" is kind of a big list, and I doubt the core is still involved at EA. People move around a lot in the gaming industry after projects are done, and U9 appears to have been no exception.Take a look down the credits on Moby Games - you see a lot of attrition and transition for the individuals involved.
You people are insane. This is some of the best music I've heard at the end of a game. You're just pissed because you're a bunch of Renaissance Faire attending losers that listen to lute music and crap.
Or...maybe the music didn't fit with the music from the rest of the game? There's a lot of good music in U9, but I agree with some of the other posters that I don't like this as much
I remember suffering through this game because of my love of the earlier games...when I saw this ending with this rediculous music, I wanted to punch Lord British right in the face.
I remember when I beat Ultima 9 the first time. This music is so absolutely perfect. It reminded me of 80s scifi stuff. Back to Ultima's roots. Man, it hit me with one hell of a wave of nostalgia.
Ultima 9 was the end of a truly epic series. EPIC. The journey was so long and the ending so bitter-sweet. Then this music just brought back memories of Ultima 1 and 2... I guess only folks who've been around since the beginning would understand.
i know what you mean ultimas 1 and 2 mixed sci-fi and fantasy elements and way before the final fantasy series starting doing that, ultima truly was ahead of its time
*sigh* this puts a knot in my stomach listening to it. Dont get me wrong I love the song but its soo sad it brings me to the verge of tears.

Origin shoud really remake Ultima IX; expand it and make the game more challenging and also make better controls.
