I don't think you're missing the spirit of what xAeternax is trying to do here -- he's not attempting to show you the fastest possible way to beat the game -- that's boring (and what cheat books and forum hint threads are for) -- instead, he's letting us peek over his shoulder to see how he plays the game, because everyone plays it slightly different and discovers different jokes, hints, tangents and goodies along the way.

I think these videos are great!
