  • Bob Dylan's lyrics + Bono's voice = masterpiece

  • Un pezzo meraviglioso ke ho ascoltato in una magica e pazza serata ke non scorderò più...ed ogni volta ke la riascolto riprovo le stesse emozioni...

  • love rescue me 15 de mayo estadio azteca 112,000 personas amazing!!!

  • IM GOING TO SING THIS SONG TO MY WIFE,SOMEDAY,WITH BAND AND ALL

  • awesome x 10

  • This song should bring every person back down to earth. If you don't have love, you have nothing.

  • A Psalm.

  • make me remember mi best times

  • The last of U2's great albums. They've been nothing but mediocre since this album. They are such a better band when they allow space in their songs rather than push all the levels up throughout.

  • bob dylan cowrote this song but asked to remove his vocal because his own album was coming out soon and the record company did not want it to confuse the casual buyer whose album was which...cbs records wouldnt release dylans live 1980 saved gospel album thats still in the vaults.cbs records god is money.....please log on to equip.org

  • One of the top 25 songs of all time.

  • I love you, I love you, I love you.....what else is there to say.....

  • once in a while you come across a song that seems to understand exactly what you are going through in life. it empathises better than any person can, and seeps deep into your soul. "and every one of them words rang true, and glowed like burning coal." very dylanesque. if you can't hear dylan's voice you could hear him in the lyrics. very poignant and memorable.

  • MUST read the lyrics-very fine poetry

  • Love....RESCUE ME...

  • Yeah, though I walk

    In the valley of shadow

Yeah, I will fear no evil

    ... :)

  • U2 och Bono har gått mig förbi, men denna låten är ju alldeles otrolig. Spelar den om och om igen, kommer aldrig att tröttna. Den har ALLT, känsla, dynamik, dramatik ja mina superlativ räcker inte till.

  • only the love of GOD can rescue us from our sins.!

  • shalala part is just awesome <3

  • please, listen to the words, take them to heart.then take someone you love to the dance floor and let the music take over.-------magic cuteoldguy,

  • @cuteoldguy I think I shall take my Love one and dance with him the hole night long to this fabolus song.

  • Thank you so much for the lyrics. Especially when he screams

  • yay for product placement...throughout the whole damn video..get this full album from downloadmusic.im

  • Nice song, but just doesn't pack the punch of most U2 songs, even tracks like "All I Want Is You" and "Desire" off Rattle and Hum. Sounds like a Joshua Tree b-side.

  • Can Anyone Here Our Screams?

  • We have to raise ourselves up within the trust of love.

  • Does anybody have a bootleg of Bob singing lead on this? heyday2mayday already asked, maybe someone could help us both out! =)

  • Listen the album as a vinyl...it goes you back then!

  • U2/Bono/Dylan..how can you go wrong?

  • This song seems to have some religious annotation to it

  • The ruins to the right of me will soon have lost sight of me. Love rescue me. Rescue my country, rescue my planet, rescue me.

  • Been a fave since I was 14..

  • *** Mmm ***

  • Fantastica, bellissima canzone!!!

  • Love this song. I want this song played at my funeral.

  • This is one of the most magnificent songs ever written, ever performed. This song is generally credited to U2 as the writer but Dylan co-wrote it. i don't think Dylan ever does it live, do you know? Anyway, thanks for tihs great post, I'm melted and reaching for the Replay button.

  • @bulbheadmyass No i don't believe bob does it in concert. It's him in the photo holding the spotlight. Quite a tribute. It is said they hooked up in L.A. during 1987 and co-wrote the lyrics to a song called 'prisoner of love' which later became 'love rescue me'.. dylan sang lead on the original recording but later asked U2 not to use it citing commitments to the traveling wilburys.

  • @heyday2mayday Do you know where I could find the original recording with Dylan singing the lead? This is a great song, and I've never heard it before now. But it would be still better if Dylan were singing it!

  • @lornisply Dylan is there...way in the back of the mix, where he wanted to be. You can kind of hear him in the chorus.

  • hope your'e listening Cheryll Hoskins x

  • lyrically this is one of bono's masterpieces.

'the ruins to the right of me will soon have lost sight of me'. Fine redemption song this.

Dylan's voice is in fine fettle too, can't remember when I heard him actually singing a note like this in the last 20 years.

  • Awesome song

  • law

  • well, maybe I´m strange but I hear Bob Dylan pretty well....he´s "only" backing up, but maybe it´s because I know Dylans voice and others don´t?

  • I absolutely love this song the best one they did thanks for posting

  • yeah i love rescue me

  • Your antipathy for Bono's obscured any effort to actually listen to the music or appreciate the lyrics. What a shame.

Dylan's there, guy, and he cowrote the song.

  • Bob Dylan is on a stage before millions of people and never sings a note??? of a song he co-wrote??? with no shots of him being there??? You are dreaming.

  • "and the sun in the sky....makes a shadow of YOUUUUUAARRGHHGHHGHH and I"

if you all can't hear dylan backing bono during that part you all deaf.

  • cat: ::: ok, I give!!! OW, Ouch!! thass too funny!! You Win this 1:::"... a shadow of YOUUUUUAARRGHHGHHGHH and I"

thanks for that, i guess you right. only dylan could sneak into a production of his own song & disappear before he was spotted. ~ttt~

  • @1michelemichele1 These lyrics seem more Dylan's than Bono's. Maybe teacher Dylan was showing Bono how is to write a real song, when it is said they "co-writed" the song. Any how, Bono and U2 performance is great, even though it is a pity that comercial abuses didn't allow the original one (mainly sung by Dylan) to be released

  • @sergibaul You really haven't listened to many U2 songs if you truly feel that way.

  • @tomthumbtoo This is one of the most magnificent songs ever written and the performance is legend. Dylan is the poet of the century and Bono is freakin' brilliant on this song.

  • @tomthumbtoo on the original recording, dylan sang lead vocals. he asked u2 not to release that version because of commitments to his band. hence why bono sings the released version.

  • @tomthumbtoo you know who's overrated??? Bob Dylan is overrated. And I like the guy, and I like most of his music, but he is one overrated musician, if there ever was one.

  • @torontojamslive Time to wake up dude..

  • This has always been by far the best U2 ever did, fabulous track!!!!♥

  • I have never heard a better song (apart from a few other Srpringhsteemn and Dylan Dunes

  • Rattle & hum got me into u2 but most people don't like i thought it was great

  • great song

  • u2 is on tour right now. we need the "love rescue me" tour -- punching out this redemptive power to the world at 100,000 amps...

  • Love did rescue me !!

  • This song is amazing.

But even with my speakers up full it seems very quiet in places.

    Even still, it's fantastic....

  • Yeah, I know... I'm looking forward to the remaster (and if it's like the other remasters, there will be bonus tracks, glee)

  • Thanks for posting this great version and the lyrics. And for mentioning Dylan, he rarely gets credit for this, one of the most magnificent songs ever written.

  • love rescue me

  • Love rescue me
