  • dose anyone else think its cool when it moves up closer with its eyes still on the worm!!

  • i love his eyes :D

  • @2000rubs They're insectivores, so as long as it's not too big I'd say they'd eat anything presented to them. But it's really not wise to just feed them anything. Some insects are addictive and can lead to bad health (such as waxworms, they love them but they're not very nutritious and can lead to liver damage over time) and wild-caught insects run the risks of parasites and/or pesticides. Neither of which you want your beloved pet gecko ingesting. :(

  • the random title made me watch....... LOL!!

  • oh my god!! aworm ahh lol

  • uh does any one know why mine costed $89.99? it said jumbo leopard gecko on the label.

  • mine ate an ACTUAL worm. but i washed it, cleaned, and completely un dirtyed it. i keep several in a tub, hoping for some mating soon. ill get babies!!!!!!!!! but i did feeed it a real nightcrawler.

  • @flambique THEY ONLY EAT 6 EVERY 2 DAYS (LARG CKRICKETS)

  • @flambique both of mine did the same thing relax give him a while he is trying to get acclomated (dont know if i spelled it right) to his habitat or enviroment

  • he or she is sosoososos cute

  • your gecko is so cute i gust want to eat hem up and all so love the gecko coler

  • wowi wish i can have a prity thing like yours really like the leopard gecko !!! :0

  • $30 at petco not epensive at all

  • dont buy from petco. Those skinny poor little guys are better off in the sewer then in that store.

  • @halofreak8899 at my petco, theyer like 17 buks! wow! cheap!

  • @Kpilot786457 wow i bought mines yesterday for 35 at petco smh

  • i love em so much i could just kiss him

  • Is that a waxworm?

  • man that was beautiful.. and yeah gothkenny thats a waxworm

  • oh man shes a beauty

  • i also have a leopard geckoher name is Milly. She is 8 months.

  • i got a lepord gecko his name is godzilla

  • That is a good video. Cute leo. I love the satisfied/smug look on their faces when the eat something. so adorable.

  • Haha, I love the expression the geckos have when they see food. With the suddenly big eyes and that. ^^

  • do lizards bite

  • yes but only if they're agitated

  • do the bites hurt?..they dont look like they have any teeth.

  • they have very small teeth, and i doesnt hurt very much, its like a little pinch

  • @machtkampf27

It doesn't hurt but it can be startling, my male geko grabbed the end of my finger (he got my mom once too) and I lifted him off the ground, they have very strong jaws! Its To fun watching these guys eat thats my fav part and why my female Gecko is really fat lol. also have to like their odd stare they will give you some times.

  • haha no man, there very tame i've never even heard of one biting a human, I go to portugal every other year and these are everywhere, I pick them up in the wild all the time

  • is that a grub or a wax worm?

  • everybody is saying "sand is OK and repti-carpet is OK." calcium sand and walnut is the worst, regular sand and repti-carpect aren't reccomended but i guess they are OK, the best subtrate is probably bark chips.

  • bark is bad too. tile is the best in my opinion. you can make it look natural if you want and its very safe for leos

  • exactly i have my leos on tile, and not only is it 0% chance of impaction, it looks great too!

  • Don't use SAND!

like beach sand cuz it will get in the lungs and kill it =[

  • whats ur substrate?

  • bollocks..sands fine 4 adult geckos...bunch of noobs

  • no its not. regeardless of age they will eat sand.

  • såå sööööt :D

  • My brothers leos go crazy for waxworms.

  • lol i liked the look on its face

  • umm, regardless of what i said before, don use sand. get repile carpet. they dont live on sand in the wild they live on rocks. reptile carpet is cheaper, has no risks, and is easy to clean. just make sure u get zoomed repti carpet.

  • actually your wrong. If you knew where leapard geckos were from you'd Know exactly well that they need sand as much as a bearded dragon does. The Leapard gecko is from Pakistan theres alot of sand in pakistan. Dont be telling people false hoods about sand. Stop advertising this "reptile Carpet"

    thanks

    Cute gecko by the way.

  • umm, they live in hardened clay and rocks, not sand. actually do some research before you spout off facts.

  • also, if they did live in sand, maybe that would be why their life span in the wild is nothing compared to their life span in captivity. Also wild geckos are more immune to the sand while captive breds are not used to it.

  • Keep this in mind- Geckos last longer in captivity than in wild, why? Because their's no sand in captivity.

  • Btw my comment was aimed at Paintball :P

  • no. because there are no predators. there is a good supply of food and water. if they are ill we can help them... sand can be fine for adults. my dad's oldest gecko was on sand all his life. he died not from impaction but he escaped and the dog got him. he was captive born and bred.

  • sand could impact them if they it it, repti carpet is a good substitution and easier to clean, I've had one for a year or so and shes been fine

  • well leopard geckos, at least young leopard geckos can get their toes caught in the reptile carpet. If they break past the nail, it doesn't grow back.

  • holy crap that was cute

  • How old is it?

  • thank you :)

  • thanks ^^

  • Using sand is fine PsychoBiene, ive had my gecko for about 8 years and ive been using sand ever since he was a week old, pet stores even sell edible sand if you want to be on the safe side.

  • it better be ok i bought mine 6 hours ago and they recommended the light sand so its like their habitat in the wild and its light for them to walk on

  • i have a question. Can I use sand for a geckos tank..

some people say it's dangerous and others say it's fine using sand

  • you can just make sure its calcisand or an edible substance

  • it's still not all the way edible, i mean, it's fucking sand. Like, look how it clumps up when it gets wet. it doesn't seem so good for the tummy of a soft lizard.

  • mealworms do not eat out of geckos stomachs. For a start the worm is stunned by the whole process of being eaten, and it will be instantly killed anyway once it hits stomach acid (probably with in a split second). If they DID eat out of the stomach, why is it not wideespreadly reported?

  • very nicely said

  • i read that they can live around in the 20's but be careful how much wax worms u feed it becase their high in fat and are not nutrious for the leopard geckio's its ok to feed it to them like once every week or every 2 weeks but i recomend just crickets in the vitemin dust they sell for them its good for them

  • good thing they are wax worms, i wouldnt reccoment meal worms becasue if they are not chewed and killed propeerly and if they re still alive when swolloewd they can eat through the leopard gechos stomack, and u wouldnt want that.

  • This is bunk. A simple google search reveals that there is no need to kill/behead meal worms or super worms (zoophobas).

  • wax worm

  • what kind of worm is that?

  • My leopard gecko is 12 years old and looks great. Is that normal? I read they live for 9 to 10 years. Anyone got an older one?

  • yes this is 100 percent normal, the average minimal age for them is 15 years, average is 20-25 years and its been knownfpr them to live for 30.

  • i need this question to be answered:

do they have to eat bugs and crickets or can they eat storebought gecko food?

  • wat morph is it i have a "super hypo tangerine carrottail"

  • its a younger gecko man its tail shouldnt be like super fat

  • Do you starve your gecko or something? It looks soooo hungry and it's really skinny. Your suppost to feed them alot!

  • please someone answer my question reply me. you see im getting one and i dont know if i should make a pool? do they swim? or should i just make the area moist???

  • they absulutally do not swim, tho they can if they are dropped in a big thing of water, but these are desert animals, read information on the internet about them, make sure you know EVERYTHING

  • it's beautiful!

  • I didn't lose my love!? Your stupid!

  • nice gecko.how old is it?i got a 6 month old one
