The blue one is the 03 cobra the film car is the 99. 96-98 were 4.6 old style and 94/95 were 5.0 old style. 99-04 were new edge. 99-00 didn't have hood scoopes 01-04 did and 03-04 were the best years for gt's and cobras

@xmodrock At first I was planning on twin-screwing my 400 big block once I get it back in the car and running for a while, but then I came across some numbers that say the screw-types are more efficient than roots-types at blowing/compressing, but the centrifugal superchargers are even more efficient than the screw types, which got me thinking, wouldn't it be easier to just use a side-mounted blower (even with a carb) instead of having to change the manifold/carb(s) for a roots or screw-type?
@xmodrock Well yeah, when the 400 goes back in, it'll have something like a victor jr. intake, something that flows alot, with a nice 750 - 800 cfm if I use the stock heads ported. If I go with aluminum heads that flow alot more, i'll go with something like a dominator. Eventually i'll slap a centrifugal blower kit on it though, with the carb. I guess they call that "blow-through"?

@cantbsdave The Vette is the LT and the TA is the LS. Thanks for the heads up. You sound like you're talking from experience.. I've personally never heard a negative remark about the LS motors though. And the whole dashboard thing; yea that's the only weird thing. Any idea how much PSI I can run "without " building the motor? The TA is 100% factory and run a 12.9 in the 1/4 mile. Sure would like to put her in the 9's, with the biggest bang for my buck, but at the same time being done correctly.
What the hell r these ppl talking about on, here the body style of the Cobra does not denote if it has a KB or Whipple. ALL 03/04 came with the Eaton M112, Whipples and KB's are aftermarket. Also easy way to tell 03/04 for me is the intercooler sitting out front, and the heat extractor hood (has the reverse hood scoops). If I remember correctly the 99 Cobras dont hv "COBRA" on the bumper. Shit I hv a 98 Cobra with a 03 Cobra conversion "98 SVterminator" go check it out. Just a quick fly-by.
wow, I thought they would have more boost pressure. my cummins turbo diesel can take 100psi without studs or o rings, granted it has 6 huge head bolts per cyl, thick castings everywhere, kind of slow when stock though

lol you better have ALOT of hp to beat that whipple cobra. the 03 cobra in stock trim ran a best of 12.7 by car and driver's professional race car driver. with that whipple on it the car is pushing at least 500 rwhp with 17 lbs of boost. it would take alot of money and a big ass turbo to make that out of a lawn mower sized engine.
