  • She's amazingly thick for an old pianist

  • cute

  • ehhh martha argerich was hot when she was young.....now, ehh not so much. but dont flame me; I absolutely adore her playing!

  • @reallyhatejazz

valentina is a fake in my opinion. I think the videos have been doctored, she must pay to get billing, and the videos are more about her acting sexy, than the music. Oppens has been at the forefront longer than your sweetie, Val, has been alive.

  • Yeah, but be honest. Shes not just acting sexy - she IS sexy. Shes HOTT. Doctored or whatever I dont mind, I belive her because I want to. Shes like something archetypal. I mean a man's life can not be complete without a big time unrequited epic lovestory involving a HOTT pianist (or cellist) cutie, real or imaginary doesnt matter. And

hell yes, Val activates my memoirs and fantasies. I dont think her a major artist or something like that either, but its part of the charm.

  • This is a chilean song from the time of Salvador Allende's goverment(1970-1973), it was composed by the Chilean band Quilapayun, the chorus was then took in all Latinamerica, Spain and english-speaking countries for demonstrations (el pueblo unido jamas sera vencido= People united will never be defeated)

  • ..she's good!

    But she got old!!

  • Ursula Oppens is a really awesome pianist.

  • I'm not sure how old she is but she is definitely under 70!

  • She's in her early 60s. I met her in Aspen when I was studying with her mom, Edith Oppens at the Aspen Music School. Her mom was incredible -- and scary -- but was the best teacher I ever had. Go Ursula!

  • It's one of the truly great variation-pieces of all ages. I've heard it live with Hamelin and was page-turning when a friend of mine played the piece. One of the pieces I never tire of hearing.

  • She was born in 1944!!!

  • viva chile mierda!!

  • Did she do the solo whistle, too? Most performers seem to shy away from that...

Thanks for posting this. I think the piece is the greatest piano variations of the 20th C, and deserves to stand with Beethoven's & Brahms' best variations.

  • I'm glad I could have seen HER performing IT! It also would be great if I was possible to see the video of the hammerklavier played by Rzewski!

  • this work is written FOR her! :) Of course she plays the whole thing...

  • Amazing!

Did sh eplay ALL OF IT?????

It's one of the most diffucult pieces for piano ever composed, and beside - Its very long!!!

  • fantastic
