It is sad that quoting obama saying this can be even interpreted as a lie. He's simply saying:" wear a pin to make the united states a better country, not to support the destruction of other countries. Okay let me see if i can explain this to you. In the first quote Obama is saying he does not believe he should have to wear a pin all the time because a pin does not show true patriotism, and for that reason he would not wear a pin. However, he never said he would refuse a pin, and he would wear one out of respect for veterans etc if the occasion warranted it: he is not a slave to the pin. He's simply saying:" wear a pin to make the united states a better country, not to support the destruction of other countries. Wear a pin to show that you care about your people and spend your tax money on real issues not send them offshore to burn. This was of course a lie but there are much more important reasons why Obama is a farce. In that same debate, after being told how lower capital gains taxes actually increases tax revenues (meaning there are no benefits to increasing the rate like he wants to), Obama claimed that his rationale for doing so is based on "fairness." What the fuck? He is more concerned with intentions than of results. It's clear he doesn't understand how taxes and investment incentives work.
