  • Thank you ;)

  • love it , thx

  • Aussie Oi! good vid, just a quick question, I don't have photoshop so is it possible to import transparent gimp images? if so, what do I save them as? I have tried importing an ai. image but to no avail.

  • 1280x720 for me

  • Thankyou SO much! I have literally spent ALL DAY trying to work out how to put the entire logo in.

  • Are you Australian?

  • @AppChat Yum Australian ;D

  • @celticguardian951 no she's scottish

  • nice one! thanks for putting this up, exactly what I was wondering about today :-)

  • I cant resize want to do it for me :?

  • If I have already created a logo and want to resize it to work, would I change the canvas size or the image size to 175x85? Also it will only let me do 175x30?

  • @DeScRiiPTeD Basically to make it work it has to just be a rectangle. Just experiment with sizing :)

  • thanks so much

  • 175 x 85 still cuts off the sides of my logo :-S

  • thank you very much, and the cross overs can be done in 2 layers!

  • Transitions suck anyways

  • I found this video while searching for a solution to iMovie 09 freezing up and not let you edit anything (the viewer just stays grey no matter what and it freezes when you try to add clips in the video) but at least now I know how to have a watermark :3 (I think I have to reinstall it...)

  • Which Program You Used For The Logo?

  • @TheElusionX Photoshop :)

  • Thank You! very usefull tool! you save my day!

    from Brazil

  • Very Cool! Thank You! -- STRALLENT*COM

  • This helps. Thank you. :)

  • great vid, thank you x

  • i like your accent is so natural

  • Hi AppChat- thank you for the video tutorial. I am creating a text block in photoshop (CS4), rasterizing it, saving as a .png file, and following your method. Problem is, the text is coming out pixelated (big time!), I've tried hi res files, different font sizes, etc. Any suggestions?

  • Thanks :)

  • Yea, thnx 4 this :)

  • for some reason, it didnt work for me. i did every thing you said here and still it didnt work. what i get is the logo in between 2 black strips from the top and bottom. the size is exactly as you 175 x 85. i did try other sizes but the same result. any idea what should i do here?

  • how did you put the little logo the corner where it says subscribe? plaza answer back!

  • Big props. Your the only one on youtube that is clear. Appreciate it, Subscribe back :D

  • Thank you so much!

  • ok i have a video with a black background. When i add the video inside my other video the black background stays! Is there anyway to remove the black and still keep my image???thanx please reply:)

  • how come when i do this it works fine. but then when i do a playback it just pauses the actual video, but the noise still plays. and no water mark is there either.? any one can help?

  • @ProFellaz It can do that but you just gotta play it in different parts and click the watermark and just fiddle around with it. It's kind of glitchy when you do it but usually you'll find everything works when you export it?? :)

  • @ProFellaz ok thats il try and export it. then see what happens. thanks.

  • Amazing! Shame i don't have a mac :(

  • Much easier to do this in higher level video editing software (Final Cut). But a way to get around not being able to use transitions...

    1)Make full video with transitions

    2)Export said video

3)Re-import video and then place the watermark over that

That should allow anyone to use all the transitions they want and still have a static watermark. The only drawbacks I can see are that this takes time and the water mark wont change during transitions.

  • @orionsbelt0 Yep :) great advice thanks for the comment. I'd thought of it but yeah, time is an issue. I just could not be bothered lol. Usually it's not a problem for me though because I don't use too transitions often :)

  • @AppChat How To You Make The Actual Logo Please?

  • @SixSidedVlogs I started with a transparent base on photoshop and made my logo

  • Very Helpful =]

  • cool tutorial !! Now only if i have a mac !! lol !! it is really expensive !! ahhh !!

  • hey there i just checked for camtasia and i saw that its on mac!

i can help you download it, just download the trail and i will send you a bunch of keys you can try :D

camtasia is easier to put water marks!

  • It does work in iMovie '11. My advice if you want transitions would be to export the video without the watermark (completed with transitions) then re-import it and add the watermark the export that version and upload it. More work but a lot more professional.

  • @johncolesuk lol I totally had the same idea that you had and after posting my version of that transition fix looked down and saw yours. Great minds think alike ehhh

  • @orionsbelt0 They certainly do :)

  • iMovie fail.

Sony vegas for Windows does this SO much easier, u dont have to create tons of different pics, u just adjust it in the program itself. lol

  • @SaiteK1911 I don't mean to insult you nor your video, just saying you know :)

  • Great tut thanks!

  • Sweet video

  • Aussie!

  • Wow, haha amazing! I was looking for this! ;)

    -Ben

  • thanks this video help i hope i can do this on imovie 11 ;)

  • Great Tutorial

  • @AppChat so your iphone is not 4.2.1?

  • Great video, and yeah the transitions are disabled. What I do though is just drag the watermark just after the start of the clip or right before it ends and you'll see the transition light back up so that it works, not a big deal but can be a pain.

  • awesome tutorial, can you do one on how to make the logo more transparent!

  • @therandomunboxer101 To increase transparency, open up the image in photoshop, duplicate the background layer (Makes a "New" layer), delete the "old" background layer, and then lower the opacity in the new layer (which increases transparency).

  • @AppChat only if i had a mac

  • @AppChat hmm good point there lol. it was not me that told you to update btw =) I dont really mind the new icon I think it looks cool. but hey thats just me :) you have a Great New year

  • Haha nice! iMovie tends to be annoying with the watermark so thanks for stating the *exact* size, that helps quite a bit! :D

  • Good tutorial.. the watermarked logos look rad :)

  • @AppChat If you dont like the new Logo you can Change it back to the old one =)

  • upgrade to itunes 10 :)

  • *Gasp* Copying my video are you??

  • AppChat. where did u get your fake iphone 4? @appchat

  • BOB

  • hi

  • Youre on a roll with your uploads!

  • I can Confirm that Yes you can do this in iMovie 11. I do it all the time. =)

  • That's what I do! *gasp* :D

I need to upgrade to iMovie '11.. xD

    Great tutorial, Elle! :D
