  • DDDDover!

  • Yes, because of the Impulse fixtures, and since Dieselducy is coming to Austin in November with FaxPlane, I will feature this elevator during his expedition.

  • I think it was the generic chime.

  • Interesting.

  • The Service / Freight elevator at Vanity Fair's Designers Place has the same fixtures, but has a Schindler Machine room.

  • Sounds good.

  • Brand: KoneSchinOtisKrupp

  • Most likely.

  • Probably Dover.

  • That sounds good, but very interesting that it gets the point around.

  • I have a custom name to the the brand of this elevator!

    SchinOtisKoneKrupp!

  • or OtisKruppSchindKone

  • It is, and it sounds like the chime used on all of the new UT Austin elevators.

  • Did the down signal have the "short-long" pattern you woul dnormally hear or was it just the generic down chime

  • The chime is different!

  • It was "Dover Traction Elevator at the Lavaca Garage."

  • what was the original video title?

  • I want you to please show EVERYTHING plus the battery, battery charger, and memory card PLEASE!

  • Okay, even if I have to do it with my mom's camera, I will give a quick demonstration.

  • Yes, it is.

  • Was this your first video with your Canon?

  • Yes, I will, and maybe this coming weekend I will do it.

  • could you do a retake of this

  • That's amazing, maybe one has a 5 blade fan, and the other a 6 blade fan.

  • Interesting, the inside of the elevator sounds alot like a Thunderbolt siren!

  • Yes, these are Dover/ThyssenKrupp elevators with a rather quiet buzz.

  • are you sure these arent dover ive never heard a TK elevator with a buzz that quiet

  • That's very interesting, but conversely, the hydraulic hospital elevator was 2500 lbs, and was very big.

  • A school elevator I saw once was pretty small, and it held 2500 lbs.

  • Yes, for only 2500 lbs.

  • That sure is one big elevator

  • Apparently, the Otis bell is now used on all the other elevator brands, and this also has an Otis cab, since the nameplate was on the doorsill.

  • how come this elevator has an otis bell indicator when get on the elevator

  • In the case of the Capitol website I think they just leave it out, and I don't know. Maybe for security reasons perhaps, since it's at a government complex. Also, the garage is not part of UT Austin.

  • How come Lavaca Garage is not mentioned on the Texas Capitol website or the UT Austin website?

  • There is no basement, since this is an above ground garage.

  • Where's the basement?

  • Actually, there are only 7 floors, and level 7 IS the rooftop level.

  • Where's floor 8?

  • Maybe, or it might have been done while the server was doing maintenance.

  • Actually, it works okay during the whole video.

  • no that was for SiAtAZAUpju0Men he said it doesnt play after 2 seconds

  • Video doesn't work for me. It stops after 2 seconds. Can you fix it, if possible? Thanks

  • does it do it on other videos to? it may be your internet service try a higher connention speeed or a differnt internet service the same thing happended to me what kind of internet do you have?

  • Actually, it's the Luxury lanterns that have the green/red lights. The other lanterns have white/red, standard is red/red, and the digital comes in both red & green, but can be in only one color.

  • well acually the green or red arrows on the otis model with square buttons ussally is red or green not both. But, Ive seen on an esco elevator at a hotel in orlando florida called the comfort suites (not inn) it had the digital arrow indecator with red down and green up when I go back I will get a video because when I went I didnt know about youtube but it had red and green but those are very uncommen

  • Interesting with the reverse colors.

  • I know but it was green up red down but I have seen red up and green down Ive seen an elevator with no dirrection indecators at all it was splash lagoon otis elevator

  • #81 - Most Discussed (Today) - Travel & Events - Global

  • Yes, I do think that green up/red down should be used on the lanterns, floor indicator arrows, and the hall station call buttons. That would be neat, but easy to identify.

  • most otis elevators have the green up red for down. Anther thing they should have the direction and floor indecator in the cab and hall station same with the dirrection indecator should be in the cab and hall stations some have an indecator on the hall station but only in the loby I dodnt get that in might be fore the fire service

  • Yes, I think the colored lantern/door indicator and hall station Braille plates are a good idea. Also, most of the Esco, Otis (Old style), Dover, and Montgomery elevators had nameplates on the car stations.

  • I have seen the red dowm and green up on an esco and on otis I think it would be neat to have colored butons to green up red down but the mongomery elevator at JCPenny didnt have a name plate the one in ross park mall dint either it might be mongomery or westinghouse I will show you again when I go back since the battery ran out now the elevator at macys ross park is a westinghouse that is the 3 story building the 2 story macys had an otis built in the 80s was torn down.

  • Yes, I agree with you, and I think all elevator companies should have their name on the car station. Also, there should be up/down Braille plates on the hall stations, & green up/red down on the direction lights.

  • yeah becuase like the monroville mall elevator I think its westinghouse but none of the elevators at that mall are labeled the westinghouse elevators at the courthouse is labeled same with childrens hospital westinghouse elevator is labeled the macys elevator and escalators both are not labeled. As with the indecator I like the Idea of green up and red down some are like that some have red for down and white for up. Otis and esco dovers and montgomery some of those are like that new thyssen

  • I have to continue. thyssenkrupp as an orangesh yellow for up and red for down. schindlers never used red for down and green for up. westinghouse used white up red down.

I also like the Idea of the brail on the Up/down buttons. they should also have green and red lights on the door it will be green when its safe to enter flash red when its about to close and a solid red when its closing. Also I know some elevators have this but maost dont is to control panala inside all elevators

  • Actually, the Otis elevator nameplate is located on the doorsill, and these are ThyssenKrupp signal fixtures, since they have the flat button panel, and the pure metal lantern faceplates.

  • mabe otis did the doors because the old doors broke

  • gluse is right its no otis its dover or thyysenkrupp and the fan sounds weird in there and anoying I rather no fan in elevators its nuch quieter with no fan
