  • @arnymonkey 162.5x20 @ 110kg bodyweight. No belt or wraps, rock bottom high bar.

  • @arnymonkey I've done 162.5

  • Good stamina bro.Thumbs up. I personally dont like these wide stance squats. But it is true that high reps are much more harder than low reps when it comes to squatting. The long time pressure over the body is like a torture.

  • Nice to see a video of someone doing full squats.

  • @Bodybuildinq amen

  • High reps are actually more beneficial for gaining ton of muscle. The lift heavy for few reps explosive actually do little on mass. By that, high rep benefits more on strength. Transfer to it to max later.

  • This is not 'great' form. Your knees are buckling in like a teenager girls'

  • @Nelarsen he just did 30 reps of 140 kilos. You are the dumbest motherfucker on earth.

  • That's gotta burn.

  • Thats very average at 135kg BW wearing belt and wraps.

  • @PSI033 have you done that with 3 plates then..........

  • THAT IS PRETTY BADASS.

  • Dude im subscribing...

    this dude is fuckin Epic!

im doing double plate for 20 now, my next set will be double plate and 5 for 20rps..

    This shits crazy!

  • Oh shit! Platz is that you.. wait or is it :O

    holy shit thats inhuman

  • fucking impressive! ass to grass and major explosive power well done!

  • o_O

  • Sumo style nice deep squats! I like that! Watch your left knee i got the same problem

  • nice stuff id love to train with ya check out my 150kg 30 rep vid closer stance though .... hard aint they!!!!!!

  • you're a fucking animal

    damn.. nice

  • In fact, full squats are healthier for your knees than doing 1/4 and 1/2.

  • @ w8amonth I try to tell people that but they dont believe me

  • good, but not as good as tom platz squatting 500lbs for 23 reps.

  • Not very good for the knees...

Try make the squats without belt...it will train more your stomach and back...

  • Full squats are fine for the knees. Btw, squatting does not train the "stomach". ahaha

  • Actually it does train the stomach very well.

  • I was just busting balls. aahhah. I think you mean the abdominals.

  • They are fine if you are moving to the back with your ass, but the most guys don´t do that...Have the same probs..

But it trains the stomach, not directly, but it does :-) (or is it just the effect, because I use the stomach as a support at the squats??!)

  • Yeah I flex my abbs when I squat it helps.

  • and without belt:)

  • Tom Platz is and will always be considered the kind of leg development. He was able to attain this due to doing things that were hard. High rep low rep, heavy and light weights. He put more hours in his leg training than any other man would have the pain tolerance to do. He did it all before the invention of synthetic growth hormone of igf-1. Just good old fashoned hard work food and basic testosterones.

  • there is old weights. many people know this trick:) it loks like 20kgs plate but realy it is only 15-16kgs;) i have many plates like this. dont be cheating with weighs and do this 30reps corectly

  • bad technique. only two words had to be said.

  • that was a beautiful squat, he went quite low, especially considering his leg width, watch the video again. Back remained upright, very nice. Seriously now.

  • I feel sorry for his knees. Look at how far out they're the weight isn't portion out properly, and he's doing half squats.

  • Are you kidding?

  • hmm, now that I look its just below parallel. But his stance is WAYYY to fucking wide

  • Your mothers legs are wide

  • That is true. Your knees should allways point at the same direction as your toes...It is just a matter of time when he injures his knees...I hope that you change your technique before its too late..injuries are something that you have to live with the rest of your life...i know because I also lifted with bad teqnique and I have to live with a fucked up back the rest of my life.. By the way good luck with everything,,,remember RAW is the real power measurment of a man ;)

  • why??!?

  • now thats dedication and power right there , you da man

  • Amazing people always say why such light weight for so much reps? people dont realise that high rep squatting is a whole different ball game to low rep squats, the breathing aspect mainly it feels like you are going to die and takes a special kind of person to complete them, i know powerlifters that after years of low rep squatting and injuries have to convert to high rep squats and ALL of them say that the first time they repped out with 20 + reps they thought they were going to die.

  • this guy is pure savage.

i like how unlike most guys he actualy gets deapth and has good style.

  • u are teh strongestz al!

  • Not bad. Yeah I love squattin' too. Mainly I squat slightly heavier though. You know, really poundin' it.

Not that you don't take your weight liftin' seriously, it's just that I really dedicate myself to weight liftin' .

I have always held a fine passion for liftin' weights of all sizes... and weights.

    All the best.

  • ARE YOU RETARDED?

  • 30 rep squats are alot harder than 5-10 rep sets.

  • @worshipme213 this is what the worlds best Miler and world record holder over 1 mile HICHEM EL GUERROUJ uses in his training regime aprt from other things like lunges step ups he does high rep squats albeit with much smaller weights !

  • Strong.

  • Nice man you are a beast!!!

  • very good!

is it very helpfull for powerlifting to do so many reps?

i'm also a powerlifter and normally work with 3 to 8, sometimes 12 reps by squat training.

  • Assorgy, don't you have a men's restroom to be hanging out in or something? Leave the lifting comments to people who actually lift weights.

  • good squatting, btw do you squat with dave wightman? the british powerlifter?

  • thx, yeah i used to, he was repping 53 on 140kg!

  • o wow, yeah whats his bodyweight, he was dieting bigtime hes looking leaner now, he still train with Andy b and James in leeds or no?

how often do you go all out rep training? you more of a bb then?

But yeah your form is good on squats,

  • he was dieting at the time, think he was around 135kg wen he did that. Know he trains in leeds but dont know who with.

No we are strichtly powerlifters, will only do stuff like this at the start of a cycle or bewteen cycles, just to show all these bbers we can do more than 5 reps!

  • o wow, yeah whats his bodyweight, he was dieting bigtime hes looking leaner now, he still train with Andy b and James in leeds or no?

But yeah your form is good on squats,

  • coglione...

  • damn, i need to try that one day,

    keep it up

    assorgy stop hating

  • What happened to squattin?? Using belts and knee wraps?!?

Just giving you a taste of your own medicine, asshole...

  • hmm, nice try, but u fall well short on 2 counts. number 1, a belt and knee wraps are purely for SAFETY and PORTECTION and do not make the lifts easier. Number 2, belts and knee wraps are allowed in most RAW competitions. So keep trying, give me a squat suit and ill squat it 100 times! asshole ;-)

  • 1) Belts and knee wraps absolutely make the lift easier! To the same extent as a bench shirt? No. But still easier.

    2) I forgot to criticize your wide stance because apparently you bitch at technique as well as gear.

    3) You are pretty good at squatting, I'll admit that.

  • 1)taking away knee wraps makes no diff to the lift what so eva, and we dont use them anymore. The belt doesnt dross any joints so it doesnt effect any main muscles used for squattin. Unlike suits and shirts whihc build up tension and cross hip and shoulder joints.

    2) im 6 feet tall, still a long ass way down! andmy stance is 6-8" wider than standard.

    3)Thanx :-)

  • also its very hard to take anything a guy with the username "ASSORGY" has to say

  • A man's name has nothing to do with his argument... either he has a good point or he doesn't.

You squat more in a belt than without a belt, correct? That's all I'm saying. Gear helps. Some more than others. Bench shirts are at the top of that list, true. But all gear helps the lift.

  • very nice - My best effort was 20 reps and it was brutal! I would guess you are a 600+ squatter

  • close, about 585, i was crushed under 595 just last week! not gd :-(

  • Lol! Fair comment, but we are not bodybuilders, powerlifting in this camp pal. We lift weight, we dont train quads! Ur a big dude, 1 day i hope i reach your level of development in size and strength!

  • Try not going so wide, it will work your quads more.

    just returning the favor!

  • Bye the looks of his strength he is a powerlifter, and powerlifters tend to have a wider stance:)
