My favourite movies are War films as they are so gripping to what mankind will go through to defend themselves and their countries, but when My beautiful girlfriend showed me this movie, I broke down, I couldn't believe it. When Jack died and She had to let him go, I imagined me and my girl in that place, I would do everything Jack did. I don't know how such a genius movie could have ever existed. Everything about this movie knew exactly how to steal your heart. I'm normally not one for romantic films, but Titanic is my favorite movie of all time.
Not trying to get into the debate of whether Avatar or Titanic is better with this comment, but the soundtracks are really quite similar, especially the womans low melodic 'aaaaaaaa' 2:16 to 2:20 which sounds identical to the womans singing in Avatar in its chorus. I can see he was inspired from the success and beauty of this piece and must have decided to put it into Avatar as it really does epitomise epic.

Jack never existed. He was added as a Romantic possibility to the story & tragic loss of Titanic to more express that it may have happened to many on that ship, that night. Many people, lovers, & family died on that night.

i simply worship creativity when i see or hear one like this special piece. l wept all thru on the plane for two days and more. Titanic sound track is really a piece to listen to, l also plead for u guys to refrain from the arguments, avatar was born out off the nature of it's concept. I don't know how such a genius movie could have ever existed. Everything about this movie knew exactly how to steal your heart. I'm normally not one for romantic films, but Titanic is my favorite movie of all time.

Not trying to get into the debate of whether Avatar or Titanic is better with this comment, but the soundtracks are really quite similar, especially the womans low melodic 'aaaaaaaa' 2:16 to 2:20 which sounds identical to the womans singing in Avatar in its chorus. I can see he was inspired from the success and beauty of this piece and must have decided to put it into Avatar as it really does epitomise epic.

Literally just watched the end of Titanic - I've been steeling myself up for ages... I am still crying but now I've realised that I'm probably going to cry whenever someone mentions the word Titanic. I don't think most people realise what suffering and pain it caused... I hope they are all together somewhere wonderful...

this is such a beautiful song and i 100% agree with NarutoFlavoredPocky. this event made the world so much more alert about sailing. and knowing that a tragedy like this could almost never happen again makes me feel so much safer to go on a ship.

I hate how people come to a song like this and start debating Titanic vs. Avatar. Whether you love or hate Avatar, it doesn't make any difference. Debating something like that here, on this song or any Titanic song, is insulting to the people who were actually there, who lived- and in so many cases died- on the Titanic on that maiden voyage. Why don't you take your little argument somewhere else and enjoy the music and respect the dead.
