  • I am in awe of that harmonizing.

  • neko case ruined my hatred for country music

  • Her "yay!" reaction after this song finished proves definitively that she doesn't have a phoney bone in her body.

  • and if you like her, try... her

haha, my comments are so lame

  • shes so amazing

  • wow

  • Neko is great as always. No drawing room tight aaaaaazzzzz for her or cute chick crap. Check her out with Jakob Dylan on Women and Country. She is always amazing.

  • cool - what a great spirit and song!

  • I will always love the lyric "And I craved I ate hearts of sharks"

  • humjust cant seem to find a prince who knows his way around a womans body

  • wow

  • you know, they call them killer whales

  • so fuckin good

  • Neko and Kelly Hogan ! Two great voices for the price of one.

  • Saw her last year. Very horrorshow!

  • @CarolinaOcelot

that's nadsat for awesome, you thumbsdowning ignoramuses

  • @CarolinaOcelot what do you mean by that? Horrorshow?

  • I wish I had my own personal Neko Case. This woman is so down to earth and amazing.

  • Neko means cat in Japanese. This leads me to think her name is rather amusing. She's also amazing

  • every one tells me this is crazy yes i know. have you ever done any thing like that? have you ever had that kind of conviction?

  • <3333 wub this song.

  • why?...Kelly is allright...c'mon

  • I agree that this has a better sound than the LP version. The LP version drowns out her stellar voice with too much noise.

  • The album is amazing. Best singer around....

  • neko is amazing!

  • i imagined them looking different

    buit they're great

  • that guitar has an amazing sound...

  • I know Paul had the guitar made for him, not sure by who. (my teacher before he went in full tour mode!)

  • does anyone know what brand guitar Paul is playing?

  • It's a Haymker made by Don Windham, an instructor at the Robert-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix

  • i like this "unplugged" version better than the cd.

And that damn guitar has such a big sound. Very david rawlings...

  • DAmn good

  • she is a man eater

  • lol me and my friend were sitting in the movies and someone was just like YOU KNOW THEY CALL EM KILLER WHALES. lol and i pissed a little.

  • I love this song so much, and it is performed wonderfully here. I could watch it over and over.

  • Man, I love her voice!!!!!

  • I like the acoustics alot 1:50 onward

  • dude on guitar--blew the groove--too fast.

  • Yeah, it's tough because his part isn't much different at this faster tempo but it pushes the vocals way too fast. She's too sweet to call him out on it. Easy mistake, but I'd rather hear it too slow than too fast.

  • I agree its too fast, but I think they sped it up to keep the song short for some video production reason. These musicians are too good to blow a tune like that.

  • Trite and pedestrian!!? Are you fucking kidding? What'd you do? Read a Jane Austen novel? This woman would eat you for breakfast.

  • For a person who thinks people actually give a shit that you know 11th grade vocabulary, you sure can pick a place for intelligent discussion!

  • you sound flaccid.

  • @isotopefun she would legit tear anyone to shreds.

  • @mariemcg123

Yeah, she seems like the type that would definitely let you know if you had over-cooked her steak... lol! But then again what the hell do i know? Not much.

I originally was responding to some dude whose comment i can no longer find here. That "Jane Austen" remark really got under his skin. What can you do? There is no helping some people, so fuck him. Thanks for the reply,

    Ciao

  • @isotopefun

Jane Austin(as good as she was)couldn't hold a candle to Nekco in terms of the woman she is in the all around world. Neko is the woman we all wanna . . . .

  • Neko gotta lotta talent.

  • love love love it!!! thanks for posting. or, really, for having Neko on your show!

  • Rigby Does Rule!

  • Sir, you are an imbecile (if you your comment was in earnest).

  • If your comment was in earnest.

  • rofl pwnd

  • a beautifully sang song

  • Rigby plays an awesome accompaniment. That riff he plays while still playing a chord sounds awesome. Especially the last one he plays with the coupled beat.

  • Interesting that various posters have bemoaned the sad state of the Billboard chart. Middle Cyclone actually entered the Billboard Album Chart at #3! Which is a reason to be cheerful.

  • look at the wear on that guitar..thats a guy that doesnt give a shit about what people think of his instrument and how it looks, thats the best kind of musician

  • Didn't recognize Paul Rigby without the hat he always wears.

  • wooo famous rigbys! i wana be one to!!:P im a rigby to btw lol

  • You go girl. You are one special lady.

  • Does anyone know if Kelly Hogan, Neko's backup/co singer has an album of her own? Thanks. She's Neko's secret weapon.

  • She got one called "Because it Feels Good." A good album, but not as good as Neko's stuff. She also did one with the Pine Valley Cosmonauts. Also pretty good.

  • Thanks Soulfulnotes.

  • Go to the Bloodshot Records site. They have at least 2 of her CDs. Because It Feel Good and Beneath The Country Underdog. She sings back up with a lot of people.

  • I have her album, and her one with the Pine Valley Cosmonauts; Kelly rocks

  • Kelly 's first solo album was "the Whistle Only Dogs Can Hear." She also sang in a goup called The Jody Grind and was in the Rock*A*Teens for a spell.

  • Eat me. I guess that's all I'm good for... do it. Please someone kill me. I want to die. I want to be released from this world.

  • I'm working on the world.

    Do you want to help?

I have definite plans. You might like it here when I'm finished.

  • she's from Virginia USA !!!.--get yo facts right chumps.

  • I will be front row at Bonnaroo if it kills me!

  • Great song from the new record. Can't wait to see Neko, Kelly and band at the Chicago Theater in April.

  • I am far outside of the United State and Thank goodness, Neko Case is byfar the best culture invasion from US that I've ever experienced

  • Born in the US, grew up in Tacoma, WASH., then moved to BC in her teens.

  • She spent her college years in Canada but she's not from there, not that there's anyhting wrong that. Love the new record.

  • She ran away at 15 or 16 years old, so she's lived many places.

  • I love her THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS much.

  • OK folks...i clearly have a problem... i can't stop watching this video

  • Neko Case...what a wonderful singer and songwriter. Yet what tops the Billboard charts? Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, and Nickelback. Americans have little appreciation for real art. Our culture is sad.

  • Yeah it is... but thank god for Neko! eh? :)

  • sorry i click the wrong thumb so you should get +4 thumb for this comment :-)

  • Point well taken, but this is nothing new. Sucky music has always topped the charts. We're lucky now, because there is tons of good underground music that is easy to get on the Internet. Screw the charts. Let the 12-year-olds chew their bubblegum.

  • @Amused80 america voted bush jr. in twice. of course Lady Gaga and Kisha will top billboards... but there will always be people like us who know what music really is, in 20 years the people who listen to the crap will be like why did i listen to that? and we'll be like, "haha suckers, i've been listening to good music for 20 long years." hahahaha

  • What an understatement, and I mean that with admiration and maybe just a little hope that there are people like you still out there. I fear they live in Germany, France, Canada, Cuba and Russia, however, not the good ole USA. I offer Lori McKenna, Ellis Paul, Antje Duvekot, the great Patty Griffin, Cliff Eberhardt, Aztec Two-Step and so many more. GaKnight7@yahoo.com

  • @Amused80 agreed

I have not listened to an American hit album in many years as a result.

  • @Amused80 no its just that the charts are based on the shit kids listen to. most adults and music lovers know you cant polish a turd ;)

  • I still can't get over how good this is. Kelly Hogan and Paul Rigby must be lauded for their stellar accompaniment. AMAZING.

  • Love her.

  • so so good :)

  • SO GOOD
