No, it's Cam King. At this show in Austin, like most shows since the early 80s Roky was backed up by the Explosives - Cam King on lead guitar, Freddie Steady on Drums, and I don't remember the bass player's name. Actually, Cam has done an excellent job of capturing the feel and many of the licks from Roky's early recordings of theses horror rock songs with the Aliens featuring Wayne (or Dwayne?) Alaskin on lead guitar.
@Lazarus1140 The Bass player here is named Chris. I forgot his last name , sorry. He played in Teddy and The Tall Tops . The original Explosives Bassist , Walter Collie III , did'nt participate in the Explosives gigs , on their own , and with Roky , in the past several years . Freddie "Steady" Krc and Cam King were still musical partners , before rejoining Roky. The Aliens' Guitarist was Wayne (Aslaksen). He played in Cold Sun , too , a great early 70's Psych group.
Wait a minute you people are telling me that pussy band "him" stole Roky Ericksons Song! fuck "him" Roky Erickson kicks ass! Roky is one of my favorites!
fuck off...covers are tributes to great bands/people....if u dont understand the concept of that, u need to learn more about music...of course the original is better.... but him gave roky a bigger audience, think bout that....
Yes, roky wrote it and it really rocks, HIM is almost half cover band half "love metal" or how you wanna call it, i think both rock in their way, as i must say ville is a very good at choosing songs for covers and make them look his way.
So good to hear Roky again !That distinctive voice is coming back strong , for all that were not born for the first time around , this is the King of Psychedelic Rock. His performances are legendary , Y'all are witnessing the return of a Rock Icon !Hold on lock up the children , he's back.
Roky was way way ahead of his time. Listen to the lyrics and check the album cover artwork from the elevators Roky was keyed in to the whole NWO Luciferian conspiracy from the beginning.....
This is a Roky song .Had to go listen to the covers , no way , they don't come close to this . Thought it may have been like Hendrix cover of Dylan , not even close.
Holy shit! It's so great to see him performing like this, in such good shape!

Stumbling into a song by Roky when you aren't expecting it is like finding a diamond in a box of Cracker Jacks.

@Lazarus1140 Cam King is a great guitarist, there is an old video of the explosives on here, he plays so well and looks kinda like a punk,
