  • Holy shit! It's so great to see him performing like this, in such good shape!

  • My dad was at this show.

  • YOU KNOW WHAT : génial legende rock ,I LIKE IT ROKY the best song hd !! rebel 68

  • I love this man

  • OMG that telecaster!!! Anybody knows the exact model? It has this awesome looking bigsby type of thins going on, strat headstock... Love it!

    Also, what a song!

  • Stumbling into a song by Roky when you aren't expecting it is like finding a diamond in a box of Cracker Jacks.

  • @daynemercy

Give me the Cracker Jack's, at least there is a prize in it....

  • When will he be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame , if anyone deserves it's Roky and at least twice .

    What a great comeback !

  • LEGEND

  • Roky looks like he was born holding a guitar. I love these bluesy songs that are uploaded.

  • Damn son, you made me break out in a sweat!

  • When Roky says "don't shake me lucifer" - you can tell he knows what he's talking about.

  • I love it when a singer's voice gets rusty with age.

  • FUCKIN' AMAAAAAAAAZINGGGGG>!

  • Sounds good enough to dance to for me.

  • Bill Kirchen on guitar?

  • @GayleMI

No, it's Cam King. At this show in Austin, like most shows since the early 80s Roky was backed up by the Explosives - Cam King on lead guitar, Freddie Steady on Drums, and I don't remember the bass player's name. Actually, Cam has done an excellent job of capturing the feel and many of the licks from Roky's early recordings of theses horror rock songs with the Aliens featuring Wayne (or Dwayne?) Alaskin on lead guitar.

  • @Lazarus1140 Cam King is a great guitarist, there is an old video of the explosives on here, he plays so well and looks kinda like a punk,

  • @Lazarus1140 The Bass player here is named Chris. I forgot his last name , sorry. He played in Teddy and The Tall Tops . The original Explosives Bassist , Walter Collie III , did'nt participate in the Explosives gigs , on their own , and with Roky , in the past several years . Freddie "Steady" Krc and Cam King were still musical partners , before rejoining Roky. The Aliens' Guitarist was Wayne (Aslaksen). He played in Cold Sun , too , a great early 70's Psych group.

  • ROKY you blow my goddamn mind, son

  • Wait a minute you people are telling me that pussy band "him" stole Roky Ericksons Song! fuck "him" Roky Erickson kicks ass! Roky is one of my favorites!

  • fuck off...covers are tributes to great bands/people....if u dont understand the concept of that, u need to learn more about music...of course the original is better.... but him gave roky a bigger audience, think bout that....

  • Yes, roky wrote it and it really rocks, HIM is almost half cover band half "love metal" or how you wanna call it, i think both rock in their way, as i must say ville is a very good at choosing songs for covers and make them look his way.

  • KILL'EM ROKY!!!

  • Roky wrote the song...HIM didn't. HIM is ok in their own right, but they do a lot of covers.

  • Where's The ScreaminG?!!??!?

  • Pretty Damn good!

  • THE KING!!!

  • FUCK! I thought John Kerry was up there Jammin for a sec.

  • Great song

  • Hell no.

  • fuck you, don't even compare the genius of Roky with the weepy gothfags of HIM...

  • the bigest difference between roky erikson and him is roky has talent something him lacks.

  • But HIM's version is so different from this one..is this the same song?

  • you got to be kidding.unless you re 14-16...i dont know.

  • Oops I meant Roky

  • Just saw Rocky for the first time on Austin City limits (1/12/08)w/Gibbons and this guy/band kicks ass!

    Thanx for vid

  • Oops Roky

  • I just saw that show too. I had potential tickets but didn't get in by 4 people. At least when you miss an ACL show, you will get to see it later.

  • So good to hear Roky again !That distinctive voice is coming back strong , for all that were not born for the first time around , this is the King of Psychedelic Rock. His performances are legendary , Y'all are witnessing the return of a Rock Icon !Hold on lock up the children , he's back.

  • Roky was way way ahead of his time. Listen to the lyrics and check the album cover artwork from the elevators Roky was keyed in to the whole NWO Luciferian conspiracy from the beginning.....

  • no they didnt...! Roky is the only one who can do this song the right way!

  • I like HIM's version, because it's a totally different sound, just with Roky's lyrics...

...But I still think this one is much better.

  • This is a Roky song .Had to go listen to the covers , no way , they don't come close to this . Thought it may have been like Hendrix cover of Dylan , not even close.

Roky has his Crown and Thrown back !

  • really nice
