  • Glad to see Omar progressing to compositions with a beat. His Father the great Mounir was a personal friend of mine, and I once lunched with Omar and his Mother Om Saad at my Aunts.

    Greats such as Jamil and Mounir Bashir and their offshoot Omar, Nassir Shamma and others influenced by the school of Sherif Muhyiddine Haydar have exhausted Taqassim (improvisations)...time Arabs moved on to compositions and anything WITH A BEAT... way to go Omar.
