You know what I don't undersand? When Captain Olimar says "If I can find just 3 more, I should be able to increase my ship's capabilities!", that it doesn't matter what the parts do, so long as he has 3 of them. They could be 3 Port-O-Potties and that would allow him to go further. They could be 3 of those 5 unneccesary parts that have nothing to do with space flight, and that would make the ship go higher.

I think about getting pikmin its like this, if you get a red pellet thingy with red pikmin, it doubles the number, at least thats what I think, so if you collect a 20 with red pikmins, you get 40

blue pikmin, swim, mouth

pikmin 2:

white pikmin,speed/dig/poison, naked eye

As for your actual criticism, I do appreciate it, and I am sorry for the little misunderstanding. In this LP, I actually did switch to "Live" commentary later on during the project. But I don't think I was able to step away from the "Doing this" habit. That's a common problem with doing commentary for the first time, and I like to think I have improved beyond that for my more recent LPs, and not ones that happened LAST summer. But I won't try to sell if you are not willing to buy, so Ill shutup.

you are indeed correct. There are 5 rocket parts you do not need to complete the game.

Nova Blaster is optional

The Secret Safe (final treasure in the game) is optional

and then two others. One is gotten through the breadbug in Forest Navel. I'm unsure about the final one though.

The five optional parts are as follows: 1) Nova Blaster in Forest of Hope; 2) Space Float in Forest Naval; 3) UV Lamp in Distant Spring; 4) Massage Machine in Distant Spring; 5) Secret Safe in the Final Trial. These aren't required, but if you don't get them, you won't get the Best Ending.

yeah, pikmins really hard for me. you only get like 5- 10 minutes or so a day, and its hard since unless your a pro at pikmin/ youve played the game before, your guaranteed to lose pikmin alot by experimenting or by really tough enemies. theres either stocking up on more pikmin, defeating all enemies, or exploring, and theres definately not enough time each day to complete all 3 tasks. plus the 30 day limit/ 30 missing peices is very worrysome if youve spent more days than you have of ship parts

yes you can. Well, I generally try to get all the monsters I can, but sometimes I can't, usually due to the fact that I am performing another, more important, Pikmin task, or if time is quickly running out.

On Day 30, if you have all of the necessary rocket parts to leave the planet you will leave, but won't get the best ending. If you don't get all of the necessary parts, you will try to leave the planet, but your rocket will malfunction, your life support will fail, and you will turn into a Pikmin.

By himself, Olimar has a little headbutt attack, but it's not very effective. It should only be used strategically against small enemies. Against bosses, it doesn't even make a dent.

Actually, it's a punch. Many people think it's a head-butt, but it's really a punch. If your wondering how I know it's a punch, it's because one of the items that you get in Pikmin 2 upgrades your punch. It's called the Rocket Punch.

actually for the big guys, i find it more efficient and safer to swarm them. it works better in pikmin than in pikmin 2

I always felt the "throw Pikmin at its butt" method worked better. You and your Pikmin can keep a distance from its mouth, and it'll be too distracted trying to shake off the constant stream of Pikmin to try and eat them.
