hey, sounds great,,,,,anyone here know the "oasis supersonic" sounding riff he played..was it an oasis original or another song from the past.....cheers
Hi guys! Im using a Peavey 5150 amp, using the 2nd channel on the amp as my main gain sound / distortion sound or metal sound if u will... My question is this: Will adding a overdrive pedal add anything to my metal sound when Im allready using a high gain distortion from the amp, or will it just muddle the sound?
I just ordered one of these, my 4:th t-rex, I do love'em! But should I put it before or after my damage controll womanizer, have't worked that one out yet. Also got the Tremster , not bad at all, and the room-mate, just superb!
i feel like i may put lighter gain pedals before higher gain ones, just my personal inclination. however the beauty of pedals is that you can always switch 'em around!!
Are these pedals any good for playing metal. I play anything from beatles to metallica. My amp is Fender hot rod deluxe with a Jackson DK2M guitar with twin seymour duncan humbuckers. Also can these pedals prematurely wear the valves on the amp. Does it cause the tubes to wear out quicker? Also how would I use it, should I use it in the effects loop? I also use a standard jim dunlop wah wah and an mxr micro amp pedal. The mxr micro amp pedal is okay but not really good enough. Please help.
This pedal would probably be good with metal, Hertsman50, depending on what kind of metal. If you want a really good metal pedal, I suggest a t-rex or mxr distortion pedal.
Well, wearing out the tubes depends on how much you crank them and the pedal (which cranks the tubes) the more volume and gain you put through, the less life the tubes will have.
He's not... A Sd-1 is pretty good at pushing a tubeamp into distortion. And for 90's rock a Jcm800 and an overdrive like a sd-1 or an ocd to push the amp will be great!
i tried one of these in store and it just didnt give me quite as heavy a tone as on here, i was quite disappointed, i did play around with the settings alot though
might just be because my guitars pickups/hollowbody though
yeah... you guys are dumb. you should just back off and let him live his life. some people dont have that button, why dont you understand. sh*t...gain some f*ckin' knolledge dumb F*ck.
@crguti - Well, North America is a continent, and South America is a separate continent. North America contains 23 countries. And it's cool, we call ourselves Americans, rather than USA's. : )
@Rattlehead930 Why are people giving this remark the thumbs up? Of course Americans will not be able to pronounce the name correctly in Danish. Americans are good people. They are the reason that you don't speak German so show a little respect. Chill out you Danish freak and get back to your Carlsberg Gold or Tuborg or whatever you're chuggin.
@Rattlehead930 damn other languages who dont understand that "ø" isnt an english character so we cant type or speak it without copy and paste and so we must translate it to our language. :P
Hey, im wondering which is better to be used as a good overdrive pedal with a fair bit of gain and a good clean boost to make single coils sound like humbuckers
The fulltone fulldrive 2 mosfet or this T-rex moller overdrive?
I don't want to be annoying or whatever (I've already asked this) but I'm super torn between the EHX English Muff'n and a more expensive boutique pedal. Another option is the OCD, and although it's "one of the greatest OD pedals of all time" I like the English Muff'n because it's got tubes and seems to get closer to the feel and sound of a Marshall Amp (I'm getting a fender amp and still want to be able to access that Marshall sound)
If you're looking for that Marshall sound you might want to look at the Lovepedal COT50-Gold. I play mainly Lesters & Leo's through a clean-sounding single-ended Class-A amplifier. The sound of the Lovepedal is HUGE (by the way, I also own a Marshall TSL-100), and is said to replicate the sound of a Marshall JMT-45 half-stack.
If you're looking for pre-amp tubes in a pedal, check out one of Andy Fuchs' Plush pedals. As for the price of these pedals, you get what you pay for.
you know, i dont really find much of a differnce with the pedals with preamp tubes as compared to these other beautique pedals. They clean up comparibly just as well and have almost matching tone.
MI Audio has a great pedal called the "crunch box". I have both the OCD and the crunch box going through a Fender 65 Deluxe reverb. The ocd gives the amp something to cook while the crunch box has a bit more gain-like that of a Marshall. That way you have the clean of the Fender and with the flick of the switch you have that great Marshall roar!
Great demo. But I was thrown off by the statement that when the overdrive is engaged, the level serves as a master volume. Does this mean that the boost volume is overriden (i.e. if on overdrive mode and one kicked in the boost, will it boost the overall output volume from the pedal)?
Judging by youtube videos and magazine/website articles, in general, this one looks the best, me thinks. some others I saw were.... blyeah. comparing to other BRANDS. I think its like $270
i second that. im very interested in a mudhoney, and i would love a demo because pro guitar shop has the best and most thorough demos out there. great demo tho!
I am going to try this on bass with my Ampeg SVTVR ... Think it will be cool

Very good Danish guitarist Knud Møller was part of the development of this pedal, thats why it has the møller name.

pronunciation:
say bird with a british accent, place the "ir" in place of the "o" in moller. Sounds closer to miller than mahller.
