  • il do anything to get a card like that, it is a beast!

  • isnt it funny when morons throw around the word bottleneck like they know what it means?

  • Thanks for the useful video. Already decided against buying double-gpu cards, this just confirms it ;)

  • maybe, problem with vertical sync on, turn off. It helps me eg: warhammer sm, fear3, hard reset. So turn it off.

  • @superbroombroom I sold 295, I have 580 now ;-)

  • @wlcina i have a 580 also, the thing is a monster

  • @Palillos1337 I have a 6970X2, that is a double headed monster :)

And I still don't have a problem with MS, even with CrossfireX,

  • @samuelrosenbalm im not sure what makes it apparent in different systems since i don't ever plan on using sli or crossfire... but maybe you're lucky? or maybe you do have it but like many of people your brain doesn't notice it. idk.

  • @Palillos1337 My frame rate seems as smooth as butter - I have noticed in other people's gameplay videos, but never get it myself.

Perhaps it has to do with the card's manufacturer. My card manufacturer is Sapphire - a trusted brand. And I don't do any serious overclocking.

I admit, it is still a mystery what causes it. We know what it is doing, but just not why it's doing it.

  • @samuelrosenbalm well we know it's because one card is slightly off sync with the other card. i just don't know why that would be. i think Vsync fixes it for a lot of people.

  • @Palillos1337 I don't get below 60fps in even the most demanding of games. As such, I always use V-Sync.

Maybe that is why they say low end GPU's suffer from it the most when xfired.

  • @samuelrosenbalm yeah, i always use vsync too even though i dont use dual gpu set ups. i just feel theres no reason to stress out my card further than 60 fps, since i can't really notice anything past 60fps much anyway. and it helps the screen tearing.

  • @Palillos1337 Yep. I use it to keep my workload to a minimum - no need to work your GPU at max when you won't even see the difference.

I also do it for screen tearing, as well.

  • I see micro stuttering in Halo 2 for Windows Vista and the Call of Duty series very often. I'm running well over a straight 100FPS but there are always tiny micro stuttering going on.

  • I had this problem with crossfire. Ruins your gameplay experience and frames per second don't mean anything, it all feels like 20fps or less. So I sold my 3870X2's and got a 280GTX, which I still use. Single card ftw.

  • Disable sli and check if it laggs,if it still laggs then it is low performance, not microstuttering

  • Get a new pc.

  • @NateN34 LoL, I have probably more powerful PC as your is

  • @wlcina LOL

  • This has been fixed with recent drivers. The 5970 on the other hand...is a lot worse.

  • DEFINATELY THE CPU. low end cpu and high end card = bottelneck . this can be fixed with little 2 no money. overclock that cpu as best as u can. try to hit 3 ghz get a better cooler to get a higher clock. that will give ur 5770 more juice to run at its full potential. if the cost for a better cooler is over 50 dollars then save for a better cpu instead. try dat for me ok bro

  • @datboyquincy I have i7 920, OC at 2.93GHz, I dont think thats a bottleneck :-) (I am using cooler master Hyper 212 cooler).

@ all others: Last drivers removed the stuttering almost completely, it is still visible, but in only few moments in game. I will test other games

  • @wlcina sorry i posted this on wrong vid

  • @wlcina i just realize how dum ma comment was ma bad i was tired lol

  • @datboyquincy ummm.... an i7 920 is one of intels newer cards and is defintly not a low end card haha. If anything its pretty high end.

  • @djkub1 ummm i7 is a processor not a graphics card

  • @djkub1 wwaitt wo wohh, ma bad yal i ment high cpu, low gpu, also vice verser, get da latetest drivers for the 5770 tel me what hapens

  • Comment removed

  • @datboyquincy Look at his specs, this guy has NO bottleneck! I have the same video card and have EXACTLY same problems, as well as THOUSANDS of GTX460 chip owners. New drivers do fix the issue for me but only until next restart!

  • mat_forcehardwaresync 3 try this.

  • In Crossfire systems one GPU processes a frame ahead and other falls behind so they flal out of sync. thus microstuttering may be fixed in upcoming drivers/ DX.

could be so many reasons tho. my opinion its XF software/firmware or something with the bus.

  • can you disable crossfire and make only 1 card running?

  • i have MicroStuttering on a Single GPU 5770 i upgraded power supply to 850w

    and 4 gigs of ram

still on crysis i have still lil microstuttering i have Intel Pentium Duel core - E5300

is it the CPU bottlenecking it?

  • @CobraGMW2 Your problem is not a microstuttering, microstuttering is problem of DUAL gpu cards. Your problem is probably CPU bottleneck, if possible try overclock CPU with a good non-box cooler, I have Coolermaster 212, its cheap and good

  • @wlcina i have now Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 GHz with a non-box cooler AC Alpine 7 PRO

  • @wlcina

You can have microstuttering even in single GPU cards...

  • @Miqimus Lol, no you can't. Go read what microstuttering actually is before you spread mis-information.

  • @Miqimus

haha, you dont know anything about microstuttering, it doesnt man "lag with dual-gpu", so fuck off !!!

  • @CobraGMW2 um yeah that would be a CPU bottleneck. try upgrading to a core i3, i5, or i7 if you've got the cash.

  • @CobraGMW2

Your GPU just isn't good enough for maxing out crysis and keeping good frame rates.

If you want to do that at any decent resolution you will need more than a HD 5770

Your cpu is fine for most all games but a little overclocking would gain you a some extra performance in games.

  • @CobraGMW2 I can't believe it, I have an HD 5770 and I have microstuttering too! With a single-card! This problem has made me pull my hair out, it's extremely annoying!

Since this problem is only on games and not on 3DMark and other application, it's another of their driver issues!

This is a notice to everyone! Never buy AMD GPUs! Go with NVIDIA!

  • @PropulsionGel I Bought a hD 6870, And it sucks too, fking drivers

  • @CobraGMW2 Message to everyone: avoid AMD!

  • @PropulsionGel I have 2 6970's and iv had no issues at all, but when i first started building PC's i had a 8800GT's and it died with in the month. They are the same quality just everyone has their personal preference

  • update drivers...

  • i see none.

  • woow you spend all that money to get 200fps and then it stutters? i'd be pissed.

  • There is a solution for microstuttering, desactivate V-Sync. But you'll have tearing.

No solution for both problems at the moment, I've HD4870 Crossfire and when I saw this sh*t I was like... :'(

  • Same here, i bought the wrong 5770 model and they fucker said that it must be something wrong with MY RIG? My parts are practically new, and he asked me to give them my comp so they could check for faulty parts. For about 70 USD. (The card many had problems with was 577X which i bought from them. And the 577A was supposed to be much much much better)

  • I don't know what I should look for... :-S

    What dose "microstuttering" look like?

  • @R4Zy3L it looks like the game freezes and unfreezes in 0.5 second interval. It is very annoying. Try to play movie in Media player classic, pause it, and then press and hold right arrow - the result is very similar to microstuttering.

  • @wlcina It's hard to see on youtube because of the already low fps but I understand what it is and I feel your pain. Good luck!

  • i think most of the problem is cos of 64bit some time ago when i had vista 64 and 2x 8800gt games was totaly unplayable so i swiitched to xp 32 bit and ran like a dream now i have 2x superclocked Gtx 280's and windows 7 32 bit runs Great

  • Where's the stutter? I couldn't see it.

  • Yes, I'm sure his problems have nothing to do with Windows Vista or driver problems. Sarcasm.

Is English a second language to this guy or he is just illiterate?

  • 2nd language :D

  • I'm guessing your problem is fixed now with the most recent drivers? I havent noticed ne problems.

  • I sold that damn vga, and bought 285. I never want see SLI solution in future :-/

  • Hmm well I don't know what to tell ya, I have a 295 and love getting over 100fps on damn near every game, 0 microstutter.

  • I am happy for you that you dont have microstutter issues, its really annoying. The Asus support didnt help me with that issue, I bought all my component from asus and they were not cheap. But due to Asus shitty support, I will never buy Asus in future. I switched to MSI

  • My cards from EVGA

  • Look, just configure your GTX 295 to use only one GPU when playing Source Games (TF2;CSS;DODS)

    Hope that helps you.

  • Yes, it does help, when using only one gpu - no stuttering. But lower framerate, for example L4D is gpu power demanding game, I want to have 60 fps minimum, then I have to enable both gpu's and - stuttering is here again.

  • Thanks for posting this, I have HD4670's in crossfire and I was wondering what that stuttering was from, I thought it was my CPU (Q6600) but I see now it's just multiGPU issues.

That sucks ass. Are they gonna fix it somehow, or is it just my punishment for trying to run crossfire or something?

  • I can see the stuttering, I know it's FUBAR, can't play with it myself...

  • But it does that in all the games you play? I bought myself a EnGTX 295, and it runs perfectly and smoothly in all the games I play...CSS, COD4, COD5...Crysis Warhead...maybe it's like an fabric error?

  • what about the 4870x2?

  • I dont get it, by Micro-Stutter you're reffering to screen tearing or not?

Not buying dual-gpu card though. :P

  • Didnt see anything.. Lol.

  • you should be carefull ;-) , this is just a video, it cannot show you the full stuttering feature (due to lower framerate) anyway, you can notice stuttering the game stuters always. The best stutter visibility is in the tunnels.

  • no. I do have 1 295, and video is the result, one 295 is sandwich card - and it consist of 2 nvdidia video cards - so it is a SLI solution = MS does exists.

  • is that tru?

  • if u have 1 295 ther is no ms
