  • Bless you for looking after thread rescued fishes :)

  • I have a 150 gallon pond but we are moving country soon, but I'd like to get four or so comets/commons :)

  • Well done sir. I Applaud you.

  • @ollief9 Thanks dear! ^_^ This is the smallest of 7 ponds that I have but is one of my favorites. Good luck with your own pond. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask!

  • @magscat3161 i officially gained some respect for you

  • you must have a special place in heaven

  • i love how you have the lilttle water fall right there * and i have a little pond to but i need to get that water fall thing lol

    very beautiful !

  • Very nice!

  • I have a pond in my backyard, it's about 6 times as big as yours. Pretty relaxing yeah.

  • Did you have to get permission to actually make that pond? I heard there's restrictions no?

  • @fistoffury223 It depends on the regulations of the city in which you live. Where I live I did not have to get permission.

  • Nice relaxing pond

  • thats an awesome pond i plan on having one just a little bigger than that

  • nice!

  • @Andrewx7x One of my favorite ponds was the cheapest I ever set up. I dug it out, double lined it with 2 heavy duty tarps from walmart, and set up some heavy duty filtration. What kind of turtles are you housing? I have a pair of Florida Soft Shells.

  • @Andrewx7x Uhhh...that one came from "Lowes" a local hardware store. In all honesty it's not that great of a pond set up. I have others that I like better

  • great pond, i have 15 gold fish in my 5 gallon

  • @11Orly11 how sad for your poor fish

  • @magscat3161 ncie pond!

  • Cool video! (5 - STARS!)

    Thanks for posting it!

I help run a free Pond share website.

  • Do you know how many goldfish I could keep in an 80 gallon pond?

  • about 3... Once they are full grown they wont be comfortable anymore... you will need something 150 gallon or more

  • hi am am having a brick pond made for christmas it will be 6ft in length, 3ft deep and 3ft wide. what goldish would recommend me to put in my pond, i already have a comet, a fantail and a common in my take would they live in the pond seeing as they have lived in a tank for most of their lifes. please reply

  • Well 1st off don't add new fish in the middle of winter. Wait until spring and cycle the pond before you add fish. If you'd like a different goldfish breed for your pond I recommend Wakins. It's a hardy, twin tail fish with nice color patterns and can be left out all year round. A good site to find a nice wakin is Rain Garden goldfish. I've bought fish from there and have been very satisfied with them.

  • Could you make another video of the fish up close possibly?

  • If you check out my other videos I have an underwater video of several of these fish in the 600gallon pond that I upgraded them to. the water is a little cloudy in that one because they had just spawned the day before I took the vid.

  • okay you were right my fish all died

so i emptyied my tank 100% and gravel

i set it up again and got 1 african dwarf frog

wat do u thinnk a bout it

    and

i also got A LEPAORD FROG in my other tank

  • I no longer live at that address. The fish in this vid now have a 600gallon pond.

  • nce i hhave a 30,000 gallon pond so it is hard to fill

  • This is awesome. I am going to get a pond in like 2 1/2 monthes or so.

For my common goldfish that lives in my 20 gallon for now. :D

  • What's the name of this song?

  • hey dude you should put a baby turtle in their.

  • I'm not much of a reptile person. There's wild sliders that come and go in my bigger ponds but I think this one is too small for them. This one does have a female bull frog that has been with us for a while now but I don't mess with her.

  • The turtle would get bigger and potentially eat the goldfish

  • wow, that was really nice of you to take care of the goldfish. Are there any females that could possibly lay eggs? I am interested in this since I am only in the 7th grade ;P

  • We put 2 fish in our small pond 8 years ago. Haven t replaced them since. Now we have over 8 fish of all sizes and colors.

  • so what do you use for protection against predators???

  • Well at the moment I live in the middle of a god-aweful desert so there's no water birds to worry about and the yard is surrounded by a 6foot privacy fence with a pad lock on the gate. I don't really have a predator problem right now.

  • yippii!

  • When are you going to post new videos? Your 200 gallon video inspired me to get some fancys of my own.

  • I'm glad I inspired a new goldfish lover ^_^ I saw the video you posted with your daughter (sooo cute) I took some underwater video in my 600 gallon pond which I'll try to post later tonight. For right now I'm about to take my own daughter to the zoo lol

  • i have a 20 gallon pond with 2 goldfish. don't worry i am upgrading them to a 50 gallon in like 2 months. look the video though. keep up the great work!

  • LOL I started with a small pond too when I first got into pond keeping. Now I practically have a lake in my back yard. If I had known when I first started what I know now I would have just started with the biggest pond I could afford because that would have saved me alot of money in the long run.

  • I would love a bigger pond, like your 150 gallon but i am still a student and i live with my parents. The 50 gallon is like their "limit" for right now. i'll keep working on them and hopefully they'll let me get a bigger one.

  • lol do the know that larger well constructed water features increase their property value?

  • hehhhee. they will now. lol. thanks.

you would think they would agree to something bigger since i pay for just about everything (if my dad takes the money off my account...). and we just got our deck size tripled so there is plenty of space... 'parents'

  • I was pretty lucky growing up as my parents actively supported my interest in fish. Their point of view was from an education aspect. There's alot of science locked up in this hobby. Biology, microbiology, chemistry, icktheology, anatomy, and even physics believe it or not! lol It can even dive into sociology and mental studies if you want to stretch it roflol.

  • Yes you have to have a filter. It is the most important part of the pond. Sadly you can not keep koi in a small pond like this. Koi need a pond of at least 1000 gallons or more to grow properly and thrive.

  • congratulations for the recues ! i hate to see in pet stores like petsmart , petco , some fishes are bottom sitters , or some has siming blader problems and nobody help them ... thata sad but is the reality .... keep saaving more fishes !

  • Yeah can't save them all. v_v

  • $100

  • I'm planning to put a little goldfish in my planted water bowl. Do you think I have to cycle the water weekly? It's a 6gallon water bowl and I hve Gotocola plants in it. What type of goldfish is sturdy enough to withstand weekly cycling of water?

  • I wouldn't put a goldfish in a bowl at all. Fancy goldfish need a bare minimum of 10 gallons per fish for fancy breeds (any fish having 2 tails) and 20 gallons per common type gold fish (any fish having 1 tail). Both types of goldfish are extremely dirty and need A LOT of filtration. If you really want to put a fish in the bowl I'd go with a Betta.

  • Oh ok! Yeah I already have a betta and he loves his tank so much, I even placed neon tetras and silver tips and a pleco with him. They're all doing great.

Actually, I had 4 fancy goldfishes before, but, had to give them up because they were taking so much space in my 20gallon tank. I felt sad coz I had no choice but to let them go. Now, they're happy in their new home...it's a really big pond. I really miss them though.

  • The filter has a UV clarifyer and I do weekly water changes. I'm also careful not to over feed my fish or over stock the pond. Any pond will have some algae but most clarity problems are caused by not enough filtration, over feeding, and having too many fish in the pond. If you keep those 3 factors well balanced you don't usually have algae problems.

  • This pond was only 150 US gallons which, as ponds go, is very small. It's practically just a puddle lol. The liner cost around 100 US dollars. the preformed waterfall liner was about 20$ the filter for this pond didn't actually cost anything since I made it out of spare parts that I had just lying around.

  • awesome!

  • good work there :D so sweet and kind :)

  • That is beautiful!

  • ur a good person =p

  • Your pond is Beautiful! I have a small goldfish pond outside my front window and enjoy it very much.

  • thats sweet. I wanna build a pond but my mom doesnt truste me....:P

  • That's sad b/c she'd probably enjoy it just as much as you would.

  • aww ur kind ;) good on yer...also very relaxin, i could stay out there all day and go 2 sleep XD

  • Nice work.
