I hate player glitches in spore. It is really dumb and stupid if you ask me. Just makes it more boring and people stop playing spore in a heart beat or even buy it from EA any more.

The reason Spore was released different is probably so that EA could increase their consumer variety- the old one looked more mature, and if the one we have now is more cartoonistic then it was more-than likely so that EA could sell Spore to younger viewers as well.
The chat you have means nothing, the technical support people don't necessarily know about the beta. Its not their job to do so. But yes the water stage would be awesome.

EA aren't hiding anything from us, spore beta was a BETA version of the game and they changed it. This guy emailed or had a phone call with the spore customer support line which helps you out if your game crashes or doesn't work properly. The customer support guy isn't hiding anything, he is just doing his job. Everyone wants the water level, but it's just not gonna happen. sorry
You've got to learn that you can't just tell someone to finish a game within a deadline.
Seriously, you shouldn't have rushed Maxis to finish the game. If you didn't rush them, the game would've been much better and would've had many more features. Not that the final product is bad, but...
ok, water stage was cut out as the controls where too much alike to the space stage, The flora editor is devloper tools and ther are seven stages in the 2006 version cell, water,creature,tribal.city (like cilvilization but with only one city),civilization then space.

Note-In Beta, there were meters that told you if you were a carnivore, herbivore, or omnivore in Creature. Much better idea.
None of these were secrets. They simply just dumbed the game down by a lot. I remember being so excited for this game and following every video and article about the game's production. I remember seeing ALL of these features, and these features are what made me want the game.
I must say, though the final product is still fun, I am thoroughly disappointed with the results.
:-) That version of Spore would attract more buyers, and let the users enjoy it for a long time... I have the newer version, and now that I see the old version, mine doesn't seem very good at ALL...
I don't think there's some EA conspiracy about Spore, nor that EA games is hiding stuff from us. The Water stage was cut due to gameplay and animation problems. As for the overall aesthetic change, it was changed to look cuter and attract more players. Beside, betas rarely look like final products anyway. As for the other issues, it is sad they are not include yes, but it's probably due to time contrains...

if spore was like this with the abillity to beam down on planets to complete missions is a cool idea. but the make your own adventure thign is great aswell but i think that should be like an extra to the main game as it is.all i realy want is =water stage, flora editor, and the extra bits of the space stage. alongside planetery missions. also, make it a bit more mature. give us this maxis, not that crappy 'dark spore'.i know, i know i havent played it, but shame there not inproving spore.
They probably: Scrapped the water stage and advanced cell editor for a future expansion, so that they could take more of our money. But then they ended up being too lazy to polish it and that's how we ended up without one.
While all of these aditions would be awesome, they were from the BETA stage. Even at that stage in development, much can change with a games full structure. Money and time is probally what cut them.
i can disapointly say i got the galetic edition of spore and no water stage no flora editor no planet editor in half the making of the spore videos i watch there was more stuff to see i hope they make a spore complete collection like they did for sims!
They should make a beta/ final hybrid! or go Beta all together! By the way, can you petition to EA games on this? really, you should man. everybody profits if this gets out, the players get their fun and the company gets their money, its a fair trade off.

:-) When I got my version of Spore, I had never known about the beta version. I thought my game was awesome, but then I saw the videos of beta version. And then I realized, my game was shit! D: I mean, you go from a cell, to a creature a little shorter than us. What the heck is that?! And there's no blood (if theres blood, the game is automatically awesome XD) and the animation is no where near as smooth, and the game was a lot more open. Not this path ur pretty much stuck on until Space Stage
Ea is really holdin' out on us... Sure the graphics are "SLIGHTLY" enhanced... but everything else is the opposite! Those people should seriously make that in like a sequel or something... The Spore we're stuck with is rubbish compared to this one!

their is still a flora editor and a cell advanced editor in the shortcut put -floraeditor or something like that then if you want cell put -celleditor but i havent done it in a long time so i forgot but it was something like that in the game go to the creature editor and click on one of the creators but dont enter near the butten were you enter dont go over the butten but go a little on top of it and you will hear the sound of the 2 missing buttens the buttens are the cell and the flora editor
when will wright quit they said he will be helping in further expansions and i heard that the next expansion was supose to have your water stage. they canceled it cause something was wrong wit the radar i think they said it was because of the 3d envirorment and the radar would have to be 3d also and it was like trying to fly an airplane and at the momment maxus couldent make the radar

@GamerGlitches89 The water stage was very real and it looked AWESOME. However they just said "fuck it" and scrapped the whole thing. Sad i know.

@DannyTPAlt acually im a beta tester for darkspore...its not bad accually, the paint speed needs some work, and the editor could start off with a few moar parts...but all in all the game isent bad

i want this! its so much better than spore is now! when i saw the beta and previews fro it i was excited that we got to do all that cool stuff! but then i bought and i was VERY dissapointed! this game was finally going to be THAT game where you could have fun, be creative, while not losing brain cells do to its immaturity.... Spore now is lame, you cant be as creative as before, its not as fun, AND it's childish! they only made like that to broaden the age range for more profit! i bet you!

:-), THESE DUMB NEWER SPORES DONT HAVE FLORAL EDITOR NEITHER AS WATER STAGE AND CELL EDITOR, They must have RULED... I didnt know spore back in 2005... but now i do!
I know a glitch for Flora Editor and it DESTROYS your game...
Cell doesnt but its kinda... weird, It doesnt post to online and it doesnt show ingame and it even doesnt QUIT when you say "QUIT"... Its a Beta of new spore

:-) When I got my version of Spore, I had never known about the beta version. I thought my game was awesome, but then I saw the videos of beta version. And then I realized, my game was shit! D: I mean, you go from a cell, to a creature a little shorter than us. What the heck is that?! And there's no blood (if theres blood, the game is automatically awesome XD) and the animation is no where near as smooth, and the game was a lot more open. Not this path ur pretty much stuck on until Space Stage

Ea is really holdin' out on us... Sure the graphics are "SLIGHTLY" enhanced... but everything else is the opposite! Those people should seriously make that in like a sequel or something... The Spore we're stuck with is rubbish compared to this one!

their is still a flora editor and a cell advanced editor in the shortcut put -floraeditor or something like that then if you want cell put -celleditor but i havent done it in a long time so i forgot but it was something like that in the game go to the creature editor and click on one of the creators but dont enter near the butten were you enter dont go over the butten but go a little on top of it and you will hear the sound of the 2 missing buttens the buttens are the cell and the flora editor

when will wright quit they said he will be helping in further expansions and i heard that the next expansion was supose to have your water stage. they canceled it cause something was wrong wit the radar i think they said it was because of the 3d envirorment and the radar would have to be 3d also and it was like trying to fly an airplane and at the momment maxus couldent make the radar
