I had heard that Marcos wife claimed he used to beat her up when he was on Cocaine but I think she was just using it as an excuse for being caught cheating on him. Hamed knocked a log out of barrera. He did win the match. Should have been by DQ, but even if you subtract the points Marco should have been deducted for those blatant fouls, Hamed wins on points. Regardless, it is widely accepted that Hamed landed the best punches and remained a professional and deserved the victory. Hamed never lost a fight after this and retired with the Championship where as Barrera lost to every recognizable fighter he faced after Hamed and cheap shotted Morales. No class.
