The name of the character is "Zhan Zhao", warrior of south (correct me if I'm wrong). The name of actor was Kenny Ho. Yeah.. I was also pissed when they replaced Kenny Ho.

It was about that really smart guy who saved a gold fish when these guys were trying to kill it, and the gold fish was magical and morphed herself into this rich official's daughter, who also became the love interest of this smart guy. And the old Grandpa Turtle and his little cute turtle played a part in this, too.
I think it's called Beautiful Water Lady, directly translated to English is something like, "Water Beautiful Person".
