I have been a Bowie fan for what seems like eons and have heard it all...This version is far better than Nina Simone's. Maybe his vocal range is not as strong as Nina but the way he sings is very very touchable.I even cry sometimes when I hear this....

I`m not David Bowie`s biggest fan but I do like his music, so a few years ago I recorded this concert on crappy vhs from the tv, it blew me away, this song and Absolute Beginners were wonderful performances and touched me deeply. Is this available on dvd ? because I think I need it. :-) Stickman Sterling Campbell is now the B-52`s drummer . lol
